Its not the former players Im worried about. There is no doubt that the former players will feel more welcome from here on out. Its the players currently on the field that is the ones we need to devote our attention too. Im all for what TO did but lets get things going with a direct impact to our team now. I think a large part of the problem with the current players is that they have forgot who they play for. they need that stuff around them to remember they are at nebraska......and that they need to play like it. The past is so important to understand the present. Look what the past does to most of us husker fans when we reflect upon it. Though I only have 30 years of history of NU football under my belt. It in fact goes back way beyond that. As I look at that part (my 30 years) of history I see how it was directly influenced previous history! Good for TO! By the way TO is not against change! He lives by principles and his product has only shown great resolve. We will never have another TO/Devaney at NU but we can have another Great Coach, Great Team and Great Class back to "The Program". I believe that with all my heart!!! red_38

BC should do this but I think that he has too big of an ego to let this happen. He might invite TO to a practice or 2 and take some notes. But he is not going to let TO come to his practices on a daily basis. TO's and BC's philosophy/program/system are polar opposites. BC is the HC so he will not be an assistant to TO. I really do not blame him. I think the does everyone a service. BC's future is in his hands and has no one to blame but himself. He has till the end of the season. This should have been a real good season for him. He has had 4 years to recruit. red_38

LIP SERVICE Tom is not my favorite reporter, in fact I have little respect for his opinion. He tries to be an expert on Nebraska sports so this article is what he does best just report. Sorry to say I have lost any support I had for bc so he can say whatever, it's just lip serve, no different than most church services. red_38

About 10 years ago I saw the most awesome costume glassware. It was carved out of glass or crystal. I saw Jayhawk and Husker mugs, pitchers, shot-glasses etc... I have been looking on the internet for a picture or information on them. I would like to get in contact with the people that make them so I can get some glasses etc... Yes, I agree. I think we can take a lot from the USC game and know that we are not at top 5 national ranking yet. I think if we get in the top 15 we will be lucky this year. BC and company have a lot to do this year in the recruiting area. No need to rehash what we need. It's pretty ovious. Let's support our team this year and give BC and company some time. Remember how long it took TO to get his first National title. I would say we aren't going to wait that long with BC. Sorry, it's our generational expectation!!! My expectations before the game was to stay with in 24 pts. But as the Blackshirts play they really got my hopes up. I was very disappointed in our offense. Im' not sure but it sure did seem like the coaching staff was "playing not to loose...instead of playing to win" as the announcers said. I'm not a betting man but I do look at the Vagas numbers just to see what the experts think about the game. This game was so uncharicteristic of Husker football. I should clearify "expert", yes it is used loosely these days. But anyone that puts the amount of money on something like Vagas does then I would give them the title of experts. As you all might know the the spread was 17.5. Well you fill in the blanks. I am not accussing anyone of anything but it sure does look suspicious!!! I really wanted them to at least score one more time. In my opinion it seemed like Callahan was not in any rush to score after that fumble by Lucky. Red_38
