  1. Winingest team in the last 50 years? Nebraska #1 with a .765 wining pct. USC is #9 with .699 wining percent. Winingest teams since the modern free substitution rule went into effect in 1965? Nebraska #1 with .804 winning pct. USC #6 with .719 wining pct. Winingest teams since the modern pass blocking rules went into effect in 1976? Nebraska is #1 with .801 pct. USC is #14 with .697 pct. Winingest team since 1980? Nebraska is #2 (damn Miami) with .802 pct. USC is #16 with .671 pct. Winingest team since 1990? Nebraska #2 (damn Florida State) with .805 pct. USC #14 with .667 pct. Most wins in college football history? Nebraska #4 = 812 wins (one of only four teams with over 800 wins) USC #10 = 746 wins (If USC averages 3 more wins per season than NU they will catch the Huskers in 22 short years) All of the above is what makes NU a dynasty, and USC a sometimes very good football team. guys i know it was a hard loss. if listing all those things makes you feel better about your program, then by all means use it. good game and great program you guys have. im done with this site since SC wont be playing Nebraska any time soon. good luck
  2. taylor mays is a true sophmore. i think a few extra reps late in the game doesnt hurt. SC went full prevent. no need to blitz and scheme. why show next weeks opponent any more tape? just play vanilla prevent. as for going for it on 4th down late in the 4th.. 12 mins is not late in the 4th
  3. It is going to take a coaching staff the caliber of those programs and a recruiting base akin to theirs as well. At present we have neither. Thus, to expect NU to compete with these top programs is not realistic. When will this happen --- well when we have a coaching staff and..... so programs and coaches cant improve...... I guess you dont remember this program before 94...... No, indeed I do remember. Yes coachs do improve and recruiting does as well. the difference in 1980's Husker football (that was really, really good) and 1990's football (that was awesome) was that both had super coaches and the one had good to really good recruits while the other had great recruits. The current coahing staff may improve (hope so) but it is unlikely that they are a super staff (at least as assembled now --- switch out some assistants now for better ones and maybe you head in that direction). My point is that if the staff stays as it does and the recruiting stays as it is, well then NU will not likely hang with the big dogs. I disagree, I believe that recruiting is going in the right direction. Westcoast calls for special players, and even those players need time to get in the system. This system will take more time to develope and I know that is hard to swallow as Huskers fans but that's the way it goes for now. a new coach. .oklahoma, sc and florida were all bcs 2 years after hiring a new coach. years to get into a BCS game PC - 2nd year meyer- 2nd year stoops- 2nd year
  4. I'm not trying to be negative or anything, but we scored 21 points in the 4th quarter when their backups were in there. I said in another thread that if Carroll wanted to he could have really blown the score up. We just didn't have the defense to stop them. I think offensively we did an okay job.............oh except for the whole rushing part!!!!" are you sure those were that back ups? I'm not saying they weren't, but it would surprise me. after all he had his starters in on O and were going for it on 4th and 4 late in the 4th. 12 mins left is not late in the 4th. bradford and chauncey washington were the running backs. those are Scs 3rd and 4th teamers.
  5. nebraska won the toss. opted to receive the ball in the 2nd half. SC had a choice to either receive or defer for the first half. PC deferred.
  6. That did seem to be the turning point. I was wondering at the time if he was faking it to get our fans and D out of the game. It took them more than 10 minutes to get him off of the field. Just a thought I had. did he fake getting carried out in a stretcher?
  7. just get drunk and pass out..
  8. Hey, your prediction is the same as mine. 45-14 SC Keller throws no less than 3 ints Nebraska close at half.. SC routs in the 2nd half
  9. Amen!!! tomorrow night Carroll does what he should of done last year. score the last TD and run the score up. the question is how many Pete Carroll has no class threads will there be tomorrow after he runs up the score on you corn nation?
  10. Rey cut his hair as of last week. dont know who u are talking about
  11. WHy exactly doesn't USC travel well. Honestly..... I get a feeling there to stuck up, thinking theirs nothing to do or are above coming to a town like Lincoln....now I'm looking for an honest answer, not trying to be a jerk. I grew up in New Jersey and know how "city" people think. Lincoln is a great college town....something many schools on the coasts, simply don't have anywhere. What's your feeling? probably because they dont have enough vacation time. if you had 2 vacations a year.. would you really spend one on Nebraska?
  12. the game is at 5 pm. we will be in cardinal i dont expect more than 15-20k nebraska fans most of you will be in sections 1-2 26-27 and some in the endzones
  13. He has experience throwing 5 ints against the SC defense last year
  14. OF COURSE they're not as good as last year. Hell, USC was over rated last year...big time. Granted, Nebraska isn't in it's Frazier days either but I honestly think (no bias) that we have a good shot of taking this game from USC. Like someone said earlier...we have to play error free football. If I was walking up to this game and going to bet...if I wasn't a fan of either team and my pure motivation was to make money...my bet would be no more 7-10 to USC. Now, do I think it will happen like this? I don't know...NOBODY DOES. Make your predictions and your guarantees but also remember that HALF OF YOU will be wrong. Think about it. Fact - Nebraska CAN win this game. It is by no means impossible or even close to impossible. NU could come away with the win and I think they have a good shot. Now....let us pray! Definately take the points if you are a betting man. We are going to take a lot of USC fans by surprise. We will probably have at least thirty five thousand husker fans there. Plus we are returning a veteran team. While USC has a lot of raw talent they are not experienced. Sure they have a nice twenty seven game winning streak going but these guys don't even expect Nebraska to compete with them. 16-7 USC vs. Arkansas in the 3rd quarter and Arkansas gave the ball back 5 times. 21-10 Nebraska vs Lou Tech in the 3rd quarter and Lou Tech gave them the ball 3 times
  15. dont worry about the restrooms. there are tons of porta potties outside the stadium. they will be outside the west endzone of the stadium. about 100 yards east of where you will be parking.
  16. same can be said about Lou tech they were only down 11 points at the half
  17. this will be his replacement. talented but lacks experience http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=15&p=8&c=1&nid=1758925
