  1. Thanks Zoogies, I'm happy to be back and feel just as welcomed as last year! I must say that I have really gotten under several posters skin since I've been back. It's nothing personal guys, I really don't mean to piss people off on here. I just don't like it when delusional fans like Cy run their mouth and predict my hawks to finish 5-7. That's just ignorant. I've noticed that most of the posters on here weren't members back in September of 06 (when I joined). Guys, don't take this personally. Yes I argue with people, but it's all in good fun. I'm really not disrespecting NU in any way saying that I think KU will beat them in Lincoln this year. Yes, I know you scored 39 points on our defense. I respect that. But keep in mind that Bill Young (DC) (who's gone now, and will be missed from KU's coaching staff) hadn't seen ANY footage of Ganz when he started against KU. It's difficult to prepare for someone you've really never had the opportunity to prepare for. The majority of your points were scored in the first half, then at the half Coach Young made the appropriate adjustments. I would be lying if I said KU doesn't miss him...because we do. I think his departure may cost us a North title. But only time will tell. I'll take my chances with the 9 returning starters on defense we have back though.
  2. It's funny how everyone says KU had a cake schedule last year. It's not our fault you jokers are down!! You've been down since 2002. It's not our fault A&M wasn't getting it done. It's not our fault CU was rebuilding. It wasn't our fault CMU lost 3 NFL players before they played us. That's a lousy reasoning to say KU didn't beat anyone. They beat better teams than anyone else in the North so everyone needs to check themselves. KU will beat South Florida, that's a joke saying they'll lose that game. You Husker fans are in loser denial yet again for the 5th year in a row now. I gave ya'll props and said I think you'll finish 7-5 and everyone is like "you're underestimating Nebraska" I must ask- How am I underestimating you guys??? You went 5-6 last year!?! 7-5 is a big improvement for a team that didn't win enough games to even become bowl eligible. I'm just saying every year you guys think you're alot better than you are. I lost count of how many posters got on here and claimed Keller for Heisman and Purify for All-American Team. I just want 1 Husker fan to admit to me "Yes JGS30, we're down, and we'll be down for 2 more years until Bo gets his guys in". There is a reason Mark May and ESPN, and CFB News dog on you guys, it's because you all think your better than you really are. Sometimes the truth hurts.
  3. HELLZ YES!!! I just want to thank Jjmaus, Cyclone, MU tiger fan for reminding me why I left this board. I really like most of the Husker fans on here, but you guys are a discgrace. Hey Tiger Fan, How idd you guys fare at the Fieldhouse the other night?? Like Bo says...if you can't take a hit, get off the field...well, he might not have actually said that, but he should have. I speak for everyone cy by saying each post of yours we actually read lowers our IQ 10 points. Please stop posting, for all of us.
  4. The only school in D1 that has top 10 teams in both football (12-1) and basketball (22-1) How do you boys like them oranges?
  6. Yeah, I agree Pujols, I mean, they did lose to MU 36-28 on a neutral field. I mean KU only scored 76 on Nebraska, beat CU in Boulder, beat A&M in College Station, beat OSU in Stillwater, beat #3 ranked Virginia Tech (Which was a 6 point favorite). I don't understand the love feast with KU either.
  7. Historically Kansas hasn't had a QB like Todd Reesing or a coach as good as Mangino. KU will finish 10-2 my little cyclone friend. Enjoy fighting KSU for last place in the North. Ha! Mangino! What's he got? An 18-30 record against Big-12 opponents since he's been at KU? A 37-36 overall record since he's been at KU? Ha ha! Keep on beating up on the likes of Florida International and Toledo because once conference play starts things look kind of bleak. What a coach...and don't forget the NCAA violations that took place under his watch. Mangino...the trailer park version of Barry Switzer. And Reesing - the one hit wonder of 2007 - He's going to wind up in the "Where are they now?" catagory along with those other great KU QB's of history like Williams (95), Hilleary (92), Suerer (81), and Douglass (68). One year doth not a dynasty make. ISU, meanwhile, is playing Kansas' schedule in 2008....all bread with no meat. We'll easily clean up the non-conference, Baylor, A&M, KSU and Okie State...throw Colorado in there too while you're at it...and we have NU, MU and KU all at home... Looks like a 7-6 or even 8-4 season to me. Sorry Kansas...we'll wave to you as we go by... Cyclone, you're so full of _$%^&___ your eyes are turning brown!! There is no way on gods green earth Iowa State wins 6 games. It's not going to happen. KU beat ISU 45-7 or was it 52-13? Who really cares at this point. Your team is garbage. I don't even know why I'm responding to your nonsense of a response. Mangino won 8 National coaching awards this year. National awards!! How many has your sorry excuse of a coach won? He's taking your team into the toilet. There is no way you'll compete for anything but last in the North next year! LOL. I still can't believe your predicting 7-8 wins for ISU. LOL. Taht's the funniest thing I've read in years!! Yes KU has to play at Norman, and yes I think they'll lose, but they won't lose to Texas or Texas Tech (both games in Lawrence I might add). Reesing has been dieing to get on the field against Texas (the team that snubbed him). Cyclone fan, you really have no idea what you're talking about. Finish above 500 next year and then you can talk, til that time please go back to your room because the adults are having a serious conversation.
  8. Historically Kansas hasn't had a QB like Todd Reesing or a coach as good as Mangino. KU will finish 10-2 my little cyclone friend. Enjoy fighting KSU for last place in the North.
  9. I'm back kids! It's great to be back. I'm finally finished celebrating the Kansas Jayhawk Orange Bowl victory and an incredible 12-1 season!! I think I'm still hung over! I frequented this board alot before the season when everyone was picking NU and MU to compete for the North and I was frustrated because I knew my Hawks were being overlooked. I predicted a 9-3 record for 07 and many, many, ok all of the husker fans on this board laughed me right off of it. Well Husker fans, you were right and I was wrong...they finished 12-1. I have to admit I didn't even see this coming, but lord knows I'll take it. With signing day today the Jayhawks are inking they're best class ever (well, at least according to Rivals) ranked #34. Still not as high as Nebraska's rivals ranking (27) but we all know you have to take these rankings with a grain of salt. Talib and Collins both left KU for the draft this year and they were both 2 star recruits. So who knows. I love giving out early predictions for next year, and again with that said these must be taken with a grain of salt because alot can happen between know and August. Here's what I think about the North and the Big 12. North 1. Missouri (11-1)- I'm picking these jerks because of their schedule. It sets up nice and even if KU beats them in Arrowhead this year (which I think they will) it won't matter. MU's schedule is too easy. 2. Kansas (10-2)- KU returns 9 of 11 defensive players and a handfull that saw time in the Orange Bowl. With Reesining, Fields, Briscoe, Meir, and Sharp, the offense will be just as difficult to defend. Plus add the #1 Juco RB into the mix (Jocques Crawford) this offensive will be better than last year. Don't sleep on Angus Quigley though. He has been in the program now for 3 years and has struggled with injuries and off the field problems. He may win the RB job. I see KU losing to OU and possibly MU (god I hope not). KU ends the streak in Lincoln. 3. Colorado (8-4)- I really like what they're doing in Boulder. 4. Nebraska (7-5)- Defense will improve from the beginning and you can't sleep on your offense. You lost some great skill players (receivers) but should be fine other than that on offense with your QB going into his Senior year. 8-4 is a possibility for this team, but I'll say 7-5. 5. Kansas State (6-6)- Questionable move from Prince bringing in 20 juco players, but desperate times call for desperate measures. This team quit half way through the season. I think the addition of some older players will make this group more competetive. Freeman needs to step up and become a leader. 6. Iowa State (4-8)- Tough situation in Ames. Losing alot of Seniors and really didn't look like anyone was coming in to help. OK kids, send me those love or hate e-mails like you always do. I plan to be in Lincoln this year to FINALLY watch KU's losing streak end. Can't wait to visit the best bar in America (Sidetracks). Cheers! JGS30
  10. I would say you're drinking something. But it's cool you're optimistic. I was optimistic last year after my team finished 6-6 (Kansas) and I predicted they would go 9-3 last year. Basically everyone laughed me off this board claiming I was smoking something and that I was wrong...welll I was wrong, they went 12-1. With Nebraska you never know. I think they go 7-5 and make it to a bowl game and win it. It's hard for any new coach to come in and implement a system. With Pelini you're getting a great coach that should turn your defense around quicker than most think. In 2009 you'll compete for the North again.
  11. This is in response to a lot of the crap I’ve been reading on this forum for the past 4 days. I especially enjoyed the one titled “where will Kansas be in 5 years”? To answer that- Who really cares!?! Now is the most important time. I guess if that post helps Husker nation sleep better at night, then so be it. But the reality is that Nebraska is the laughing stock of the nation and it really is sad. I guess if you all want to tell yourself that Mangino is going to be gone real soon and you won’t have to worry about KU anymore that’s OK. I mean, do what you have to do to get through this embarrassing season! But I’m only gonna tell you this once so listen up Husker nation- Mangino is going to STAY AT KU. Period. Why? Because we have the best AD in all of the nation. Lew Perkins knows what it takes to be a winner, and he knows the value of a football program and how much more money it can generate compared to basketball. Perkins turned UCONN into a top 25 program and he’s doing the same at KU. So long story short, get used to this. KU will remain a threat for years to come. And don’t look now delusional husker fans, but KU returns 85% of their starters next season! So don’t be so sure this is a 1 hit wonder, cause it’s not. Here is my question to you all-How can a team (Nebraska) with that much talent play so bad? Well, talent according to rivals, but in reality your defense is the slowest in the Big 12 conference. OK, maybe Baylor is a little slower, but you’re neck and neck. My only conclusion to this is that your coach’s ego has yet again gotten into the way of the team and his bad attitude/arrogant attitude has killed this team mentally (See the Oakland Raiders, Coach C’s previous adventure). Same thing that happened in Oakland is happening now. Pathetic Hire by that egotistical AD of yours. Thank your lucky stars that nut job is gone. He thought just because you had Nebraska written across your chest you would win games and you were entitled to achieve excellence. News Flash: that doesn’t work in college football. You have to be mentally tough and take NO ONE for granted because each and every week is a test. Once your program figures that out you may get back to where you were in 2000. So this finally brings me to our game on Saturday. So you all think KU has played nobody huh? Well need I remind you that KU beat A&M in College Station just a week ago and held them to 74 yards of total rushing. That same Aggie squad put 370 rushing yards on NU and had been averaging 285 rushing yards a game. I would say after road wins at Manhattan, at Colorado (OU lost there), and at Texas A&M is pretty damn impressive if you ask me or anyone who knows anything about college football. Don’t be surprised if MU losses to CU in Boulder this weekend. That’s a tough place to win. So here is my prediction for this weekend. You’ll all hate this, but it’s reality. KU 45 NU 9 Hope to see you all in Lawrence this week to watch the 2007 Big 12 Champs play.
  12. Thnaks guys! As most of you know I'm a huge KU fan. I've stayed away from this board simply because I know what it's like to be going through a bad season and it's not fun. I actually feel bad for NU fans because I've always felt most of them are the best fans around. Very classy, unlike KSU fans. I hope my Jayhawks can keep this winning streak in tack. I think they can. I see them falling at OSU, but that's probably it. They are a legitimate contender to win the Big 12. To the husker fans on this board: I hope you can still make the trip to Lawrence on November 3rd and show your support for your team and come see the jayhawks in person. It really is very special when you see how hard these guys work each week. Come on out to Lawrence and tailgate. Hope to see you all there.
  13. The Kansas Jayhawks enter Mancrappin as a 3 point underdog. Why? Because like last year KSU is coming off of another big win against Texas. And like last year they beat Texas on special teams plays. And like last year, everyone is picking them to beat KU easily. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!!! KSU won't be able to move the ball on offense. KU will be able to throw all day long on the KSU secondary and Jake Sharp will have his coming out party as one of the top running backs in the big 12. Todd Reesing (Get to know this guy) throws for 3 tds and we get one on the ground from sharp and one off of special teams. Aqib Talib shuts down Jordy Nelson....yeah, Nelson will catch about 6 balls for 60 yards, but that's only because they throw a bunch of short pu&&y routes. Aqib Talib gets 1 pick, and 5 pass break-ups. Prediction: KU 38 KSU 13. And that's the way its going to be today my husker friends. So stop worrying about KSU because they will be exposed as a FRAUD today. Good luck against Missery!! Go Huskers & Hawks!
  14. Indeed. Captain Obvious, I have no respect for you on these boards. Everything you post is a complete joke. You my friend are the one on drugs. Keep thinking your huskers are head and shoulders better than KU. You're clearly drinking the same delusional Kool-aid as the Wildcat Nation is!! Get real! 2001 is long gone. The sad thing is Nebraska fired Frank Solich after going 9-3. Are you freakin kidding me? LOL. You guys would be crackin champaigne bottle and celebrating like rock stars if you finish this season 9-3. You know you would. But you won't. Save this post- NU will finish 8-4. Kansas will finish 9-3. "Throw the Pinkies"
  15. Sorry guys, but you're just going to have to deal with my Kansas "nonsense". LOL. We did take you to OT in Lincoln last year, and in 2005 we spanked you 40-15 so sorry if I'm confident in my Jayhawks who are playing like a well oiled machine firing on all cylinders. We have so much speed this year it's sick and Aqib Talib is the best CB in the nation. Our defense, offense, and special teams dominate this year. Yeah, our schedule isn't the best, but if you do remember from last year that my hawks weren't putting bad teams away like they are this year. we barely beat UL Monroe last year 22-18, then we beat South Florida, then took you Blackshirts into OT in Lincoln. So sorry, your going to here my KU nonsense for a while, or at least until we lose which won't likely happen soon after seeing how bad KSU, Baylor and CU are....KU's first 3 opponents in Big 12 play. We'll see you in November. Lawrence stadium is waiting along with our fans to remind you of the beat down we gave you in 05. The North title will be decided on November 24th at Arrowhead Stadium between MU & KU. Sorry guys, but that game you played @Wake Forest told me alot about your team. You played a back up QB and still barely won. Come on guys...are u serious? Then I bought into the hype that you guys were gonna show me something against USC...the next thing I see is a 42-10 USC lead, and Keller turning the ball over 5 times. There is a reason this guy lost his job at ASU. yes, he has a great arm and accuracy, but he makes mental mistakes and they showed at Wake and against USC. Taylor was better. Period. Good luck the rest of the way, but seriously you guys need to understand that THIS YEAR NU is on the SAME LEVEL AS MU & KU. Face it. Soemtimes the truth hurts. Okay so did I miss something while I was at the USC game....................Keller did not turn the ball over 5 times. He had one tipped pass that was intercepted and then he threw a stupid pass which was intercepted. You guys suck and I still believe that! You guys have about as much chance at winning the North as does sCUm!!! MU has the best chance next to us IMO. LOL. Good thing your belief has nothing to do with the outcome of the rest of these games. You keep believing KU sucks. I hope everyone in Nebraska keeps thinking that like they did last year. But if I were you I wouldn't get my hopes up for the North......even though MU has NO DEFENSE what so ever, I still see them hanging 45 points on you in Columbia. No way you come down to Lawrence and beat us this year. You just let me know how much you want to wager. I already have one goofy husker fan that gave me KU and 14 points!! What a moran. Regardless of the trash talk...good luck this year. Hey your dishing it out so I have to as well right?! Good luck to you against us this season..........You need to make sure you guys stomp KSUcks because I hate those S.O.B.'s I agree completely. It's all in good fun. No disrespect to husker nation. It will be a fun season. I do agree about KSUCKS! What a delusional fanbase!! They still believe they should be ranked!! WTF!?!

  18. Sorry to burst your husker bubbes but there is no way in hell your team goes undefeated the rest of the way. You hav 3 more losses left on your schedule and possibly 4. OU- Loss KU- Loss MU- Loss Most fans on here are pretty good and accurate, but this thread is down right nuts. Your team is not there yet. Keller really isn't as good as Taylor was last year. Sorry, but it's true. Back to reality please. Throw the Pinkies!!
  19. You guys have to understand that USC is in a different world than most teams in the country. There are basically 4 teams that are just on a different level than everyone else: USC, LSU, OU, and Florida. You guys have nothing to be ashamed of. Your team gave it all they had. Your team pulled out all the stops for this game. It wasn't conservative play calling. You went after them, and in the 2nd quarter, it looked like you could go toe to toe with them. Your fanbase is still the best in College Football, and don't look now but you are in the top 10 in recruiting so far for next year. It's not your coach's fault. He is a good coach and one hell of a recruiter. Your team is two years away from being a top 10 team. That's a fact. Just be patient. Until proven on the field, NU is still the best team in the North and can still have a great season. Good luck the rest of the way. I'll be pulling for you guys, except of course when you visit Lawrence!
  20. Ya'll know me as that crazy jayhawk fan on here, so you know i'm gonna throw my two cents in. I hate to predict this because I want Nebraska to beat the ___ out of USC. But.... USC 38 NEB 24 Neb Passing- 272 Neb Rush - 79 I hope I'm wrong though!!! (it wouldn't be the first time!)
  21. RESPECT. That's what this Saturday is going to come down to. RESPECT. As a Jayhawk fan I can honestly say I will be pulling like hell for NU to knock off USC. Our division needs this win. If other teams fans from the North are cheering against Nebraska this weekend, then they are out of their mind. We need you guys to win. I'm sick and tired of being labeled the step sister to the South. I'm sick and tired of South teams running shop on us. Go beat USC in Lincoln!!! Coach C better play to win! Throw the entire playbook at this team. Trick plays...everything! Go for it on 4th and 1's all day. No conservative calls. NU knows they are outmatched in this....but you have a punchers chance!! Go get em!!!
  22. I agree with gamecocks on this. When was the last time NU beat the #1 team in the country? Wasn't it like 1999 or 2001? Wasn't it OU? If you beat USC, then take them down! That would be a HUGE accomplishment and a defining moment in time when you guys "Restored the Order"
  23. Oh, FYI- When we beat you guys in Lawrence we'll be taking down the goalposts.
