the line is having problems with pass pro for the time needed to set up the vertical game

what worries me is that I cant find a single case in the last 3 or 4 years where we went in down at halftime and came back to win. Ahead or tied we do fine, but down....disturbing trend

Mel is good at evaluating talent. But a game is more than talent.

Two ways I can call this a good game. 1 - Any nebraska win. 2 - A very close down to the end of the 4th game. Even if it is a loss. The Tech game last year for instance, that was a great game. It would have been better if Smith sits down though.

The big 10 is really the Big2. Other than Mich and OSU, no one else is really good year in and year out. Iowa is one of the most over rated teams year in and out, especially for one who never actually wins anything. Wisconsin is a solid program, but one that really doesnt have much chance of winning a national chapmionship. penn state has had as many down years as up years latly. Sure one of the other teams bites occasionally and wins the conference, but without a round-robin or divisional championship game, the years teams not Mich or OSU win, that team usually avoided one or both of them.

It is probly a safe bet that no one knows exactly what callahan is going to do with the game plan.

A wet feild will slow thier perimiter running game(which they lean to more than the interior) defintaly a plus for us.

Every prediction I have seen so far ahs Texas beating the spread, usually doubling it. Now while we havnt really beat anyone, neither has texas.
