  1. Hey Ag! Just make sure the cadets are ready! That way they can swing their batons at us like a bunch of pussies when we rush your field again. I'm not too worried because I am bringing Kellen Huston with me down to College Station! In all seriousness though, Goodson is the back I am worried about. Lane is a big guy but we have some beefeaters in the middle. And nobody (Not Texas, USC, or even Okie St) has run up the middle with success on us. so he might get his 2 or 3 3rd and 1 conversions with a 2 yard game (Yippee) but he won't be that much of a factor in the game.
  2. We have no chance to go to the Cotton Bowl. NONE! A&M or OU is headed there. Two reasons for this. #1 The Cotton is pretty loyal to its Old Southwestern Conference roots #2 If Oklahoma doesn't collapse they will go. The Cotton doesn't want to piss OU off because they don't want the OU-UT game to leave their site.

    Bowls

I've said this before. The Cotton Bowl stays pretty darn loyal to the old Southwestern Conference teams and to Oklahoma (because they want to keep the Red River shootout there). So, if OU and A&M keep winning we have no chance in going to the Cotton Bowl. The loser of the Conf. Champ. Game always looks less attractive to the bowls. Another reason we should get rid of the damn game altogether. But, that will happen as soon as the national currency changes from dollars to items on the Wendy's 99 cent value menu.
  4. Ah, I see. That definitely clears things up.
  5. Dude, I totally agree that this guy is an idiot. But you just combined number of posts on an internet message board with taking someone to the woodshed??? Come on, you have to be better than that!
  6. Omit '96 because we went to the Orange (sorry about that). But they still passed up on a 9-3 '98 team, a 9-2 '00 team, and a 9-3 '03 team.
  7. On a side note, don't count on playing in the Cotton Bowl if OU or A&M wins 9 games. That is one bowl that doesn't care that we travel well. They have strong ties to the old Southwestern Conference (and love OU cause they play there every year against UT). And the Cotton has passed on us a few times ('98,'00,'03).
  8. Am I the only one who wants us to play up in Idaho on the blue turf against the powerhouse that is Prairie View A&M? All joking aside, I hope we play Boise St. Cause as of right now, that means we took care of business and are playing in that tortilla chip bowl down in AZ.
  9. The Cotton Bowl has passed on Nebraska before ('96,'98,'00,'03). That is one bowl that doesn't think like the other. The Cotton Bowl had rich tradition with the Old Southwestern Conference and they would take A&M before they would take Nebraska. They seem to really like Oklahoma too. So if those two teams keep winning we would be looking at the Holiday Bowl or the Fiesta provided we take care of business.

  11. My vote for Tailback U has to go to Prairie View A&M.
  12. The Cotton Bowl rarely takes the loser of the Big 12 title game. It has only happened twice in the ten years of Big 12 play. Texas A&M in '97 and Texas in '99. A north team has never lost in the Title game and gone to the Cotton Bowl. But I will echo the sentiment going around on this thread. "One game at a time boys".
  13. Taylor is a great leader and when he has time to throw he can be pretty darned effective. But, when the pocket collases it is a totally different story. He has absolutely no pocket presence. A senior should not be making mistakes like his second quarter INT. That being said, the guy is our toughest competitor and doesn't hang his head. And I will miss having him behind center because of those attributes.
  14. Terry needs to go and get another school put on probation.
  15. Here's a joke. Three men (1 from Nebraska, 1 from Colorado, and 1 from Texas) find a magic lamp with a genie inside. The genie grants each man one wish. The man from Colorado goes first and asks for a great snowfall that would make for a wonderful ski season. The genie grants his wish. The man from Texas asked the genie to build a giant wall around the state of Texas because it is far superior to the other states and no one should be allowed in. The genie finally asks the man from Nebraska what he wants. The man from Nebraska thinks about it and asks the genie..."Did you really put a giant wall around Texas?". The genie replys "Yes I did, now what is your wish?'. The man from Nebraska says "Fill that son of bitch with water"!
  16. Hey FBWillie, Nebraska doesn't play with Okie St's front seven and Josh Freeman hasn't text messaged the Blackshirts yet to ask them to give him some time. So, I think you can forget about any upset. The only reason I think this game might stay close is because it is in Manhattan. But, if the Nebraska o-line plays like it did this past week it won't be close at all.
  17. My best memory of K-State fans was at the 97 game when we jumped on them early. I made a comment to some other fans in my section that there would be some empty seats in the southwest corner of the stadium early in the second half. Some jackass two rows in front of me stood up and said that K-State fans are the most loyal in the country and then bet me $100 that nobody in their section would leave. With about 7:00 minutes left and us clinging to a 30 point lead, he himself got up and left. Apparently, he forgot about our friendly wager so I followed him down the aisle and out of the stadium. I didn't let him hear the end of it until he walked into Barry's (I was only 18 at the time so I couldn't get in).
  18. Carriker didn't record a sack or tackle but he was held on about 6-7 plays that didn't get called. This was the same last year. He should draw a half dozen holding calls every game but they just don't get called. He is still making an impact (case in point, the play when he lined up at d-line and smoked their center) it jst isn't showing up in the stats.
