My guess is he most likely had some back problems before. Could it just up and happen squatting all of a sudden? I spose but likely something was already going on. I'd wager that this was true. It just happened to occur during a squat.

I hear ya, but one thing I've been throwing around in my head is that it doesn't always work in that fashion. Yes, no doubt there are more resources here for a guy like Riley to draw upon. It makes sense he should do pretty well, but every situation is different. There are a TON of variables that go into whether someone is ultimately successful in a place or not. Most of which, IMO, we as outsiders don't really have a good grasp of. food for thought.

I generally don't have a problem with Dirk. He can sometimes pry at things that probably don't need prying but that's just how he is.

Dirk may be right here.. The article has sufficient context as we're just getting done with the "hypest" part of the recruiting year. If nothing else, it's good to look back and see where you've been so you can not go there again.

What college stats of Freeman's jump out at you and say he was even remotely close to being a great college QB? None, really. I thought he probably suffered being a one man show at K. State.

The dude had talent. I mean, you don't get to be starting QB in the NFL by chance. You don't have to be the next Joe Montana to be a great college quarterback

So, I ask where the line is. A 12 page thread in the Woodshed dedicated to how to "deal" with NUPolo8? That's ok? I don't know that you can really set a static line. Isn't there always context that is different from case to case? So this is more of a judgement call? Someone felt that Polo was bullying someone else, but that he hadn't been bullied by the 12 page thread dedicated to making fun of him? I think so. That's what the Mods and Admins don't get paid to do. Make decisions when stuff comes up. It's not going to be perfect all the time, it is what it is. Some of the stuff you're pointing to is literally years old. Things, attitudes, etc change over the years. Like I said it's not perfect, it is what it is IMO.

You're implying that "bullying" is a concept that's either black or white. I don't think that's the case all the time.

The thing is they are kinda starting from scratch here. Does anyone on the coaching staff have any connections to these states? I guess the next question is: Is it necessary to have them? Yea, they're probably starting largely from scratch. I don't know of any connections, but there may be some. Is it necessary? I think the staff should be able to lock up the best players at least in the state.

Thanks, Eric, for the post. My opinion is that you should treat the PM system as private, but not secret. Private in the sense that it's not for the rest of the board to see. The conversations are between you, the distribution list and administration. Except that administration doesn't really care and doesn't read them unless there is a reason to care and read them. I mean, really, the admins can read anything if they choose, whether the board software presents an easy way or not. It's all in a database accessible by them because it has to be.

I like it too. It seems some guys see social media outlet as something they /have/ to use because the kids are instead of trying to use it as an advantage.

Huh. Sounds like he needs some technique work. Properly executed squats should not do this.
