  1. if that is true of the defense then they have to be the worst ever
  2. the huskers defense is terrible, but ku is not that great.
  3. me too! i so despise the last three teams we play.
  4. i'm surprised his redneck father didn't have him straddling some motorcylce as a "salute" to that gay, been done before to death, tradition they are trying to start down there when they have those fat-assed, hell's angel wannabees and their butt-faced women ride in before the game. KSU is a joke on all levels.
  5. a spark! this team needs an inferno to wake it up. i also hope that ganz performs well, but it seems from what everyone has posted on this board, (except for Papersun87 above), they actually expect him to come in and turn this season around. if he goes out and has a poor game (first game jitters, actually playing a full game, etc) or even a marginal one then i fully expect these same people to be back here slamming him for his poor play and how we need to start the guy behind him on the depth chart. don't you all honestly believe that the reason he wasn't playing before was because keller was better then him? i guess hope springs eternal.
  6. i am sure this has been posted before, but check the interview with osborne at about the 4:00 minute mark of the interview. i think this was from around 1999. never say never!
  7. I'm pretty sure it is allowed...and I know the soccer team has spring scrimmages against other universities... I think I've heard the guys on 1620 the zone bring up Iowa as a possible opponent... the volleyball team does as well. i imagine because of the physical and rather secretive nature of football, the coaches want to keep things as controlled as possible. letting some guy from an opposing team come in and rack up your quarterback during spring practice is not very desirable.
  8. you are correct. it was for one season back in the early 60's. i think he coached either the linebackers only or was the defensive coordinator. in his biography he has a couple of pages dedicated to talking about his time there.
  9. Of any game we have left this year, I would be willing to bet that we pull this one off. 1. We play in Lawrence...so unexpected fan negativity won't be there. 2. It's Kansas homecoming and they are undefeated and might be a little overconfident. 3. They just pulled out a squeaker against the MIGHTY aTm. when i first read this i thought you were trolling, so i guess i will bite. 1. "We play in Lawrence...so unexpected fan negativity won't be there". do you really think that the NU fans's negativity is to blame for the huskers poor play? don't you think it has more to do with the team's lack of ability and fire to get up for the games? 2. "It's Kansas homecoming and they are undefeated and might be a little overconfident". i would characterize it a different way and say that since it is homecoming and they have their highest rank since about 1968 they are going to come in jacked up ready to run through brick walls. they are undefeated and in their minds are still in the hunt for the national championship or least a good BCS game. in addition, i am sure the players that were on the team last year remember back to the game in lincoln last year where they came ever so close to pulling the upset. i am sure a little bit o payback is on their minds. 3. "They just pulled out a squeaker against the MIGHTY aTm". this is the comment why i thought you were trolling. that same team that you refer to sacrastically as the MIGHTY aTm rolled us two weeks ago. oh well, you caught me. might as well reel me in.
  10. wasn't this the same poster that came on after the OSU game and said how he heard from his sister who heard from callahan's daughter that they were moving in a week? Yes, see my post above. good catch.

  12. i bet it was either the 1968 or 1976 seasons. the 1968 game was played in lincoln and both teams came in undefeated and ranked. if i remember right kansas was even ranked a little higher than nebraska. i think pepper rogers was the coach at kansas then. anyway, it is my recollection that nebraska lead either at halftime or most of the first half and then KU pulled away in the second half to win 23-13. there was a big article in sports illustrated detailing the game the following week. this was the last time KU went to the orange bowl and then lost to penn-state 15-14 on a "12 man" penalty at the end of the game. i take back the 1976 game. even though it was in lawrence and at that time during the season KU ahd a good record, we were probably still favored. i remember that game being around halloween and actually listening to the game on the radio. we beat the crap out of them 31-3! those were the days!
  13. rude? rude is coming on this board and making up obvious rumors that people run with and take as fact. from what IBR has posted in the past 2-3 weeks he has been spot on.
  14. Yeah, I keep expecting him to vapor lock on the sidelines one of these days! As much as I want to see the Cornhuskers win -- I do not think we can beat your team, even if we played four quarters like the first three against Texas. As much as I hate to say it, I expect this game to be an easy win for Kansas...hope I am wrong, but the evidence from this season would support the Kansas win. agreed. a very easy win for KU.
  15. good point regarding the physicality of CU. the fourth quarter of yesterday's game showed the glass jawed mentality of this husker team.
  16. i like the pyramid symmetry to your prediction. here's to hoping that we are on the "downward" slide to your prediction.
