    Yeah, it won't be football or baskeball bad, but won't be what I hoped for. There are a lot of average and bordering on bad Big 10 baseball teams this year. Thinking middle of the pack conference this year.

    i'm not real bullish on the team this year, but Everitt is one guy that has been killing it this past week. i like the batting order for the first 5 hitters that Boldt has put together. However, at some point you have to insert someone besides Chick. Season is about 1/4 through and he just isn't having any success.

    correct. also, i thought i heard mentioned either on this board are on one of the broadcasts that he got hit hard during fall practice. maybe this and his earlier action has him a bit skittish. whatever it is, today's outing was not impressive.

    it was mentioned in another thread, but looking at the batting average for NMSU indicates that hitters 1-8 have a batting average > 0.300. geez

    The competition they are playing probably a factor, but Schannaman pitching great.

    Gomes performance didn't help, but the huskers had multiple opportunities to blow these guys out in the earlier innings. offensive woes continue.
