  1. IMO when Keller transferred from Arizona State to Nebraska he was guaranteed the spot in 07.
  2. Let us not forget about Wake Forest; this teams scares as much or more than USC or Texas. Wake is not losing much this year on Offence or Defense.
  3. I have always heard that Colorado has the worst fans; but, I did go to the Texas Tech Game a couple of years ago when we got our A** Spanked and I can tell you that TT has the worst fans in all the nation. You talk about Kansas Fans yelling S***; well I can tell you that TT Fans do much more than just yell.
  4. While traveling this week I believe I read on this board that an announcement was coming stating that Norvell would be the next Head Coach at Iowa State. Did I read this incorrectly? Reason being, I see on ESPN.com that Iowa State will announce their Head Coach Tomorrow. Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?sectio...&id=2676873 If this is the case, does anyone else see this as very bad timing as we get ready for the biggest game of the year?
  5. What is the highest ranked team we have beat since Callhan's induction into Nebraska Football? I see that Oklahoma is ranked 9th in the AP Poll this week. Just Curious as I cannot remember all Wins in the Last Three Years.
  6. I just wish ABC/ESPN would take him off the air or force early retirement.
  7. how do you turn off cookies? To the best of my knowledge, you can not turn them off as you just keeping deleting them over and over. Here is how you delete them: Tools Internet Options Delete Cookies If you are able to turn off, please let me know.
  8. Josh Freeman should be considered for Big XII Offensive Player of the Year; I mean when you have six turnovers in one game, that makes you the best in the conference.
  9. Take this for what it is worth, but last time that Nebraska guaranteed a win we were defeated by USC. Let the sCUm fans talk their smack and just let the Huskers (8-3) prove why they are in the Top 25 and the Buffs (2-9) are not.
  10. I see it now....the next great conversion of an offensive player to a defensive player. Tierre Green, Leon Jackson (who is gone)....next: "At starting safety, standing 6'5 and weighing 180 lbs in pads....Beau Davis!" You have to think that Ganz and Davis just saw their chances fade away............. Would it not be in Ganz and Davis's best interest to transfer? I would hate to see another QB Transfer, but hell why not go to another school where you could possibly start. Both should know that their chances of getting playing time over the next couple of years are very very slim. Thoughts!
  11. Let's decide on a spot and start getting the word out and have Husker Nation take over that restrauant and bar. Since you guys live in the area, you pick and I will work on getting the word out to others that I know that are going to the game.
  12. I do not see Callahan letting that happen.
  13. Sorry, take the red blinders off. Prince has done some unreal stuff there with where that program was at when Snyder left. It's not like he had Chad May or Michael Bishop under center or Darren Sproles taking the handoffs. The cupboard was pretty bare. Hasn't he played something like 13 freshman this year and is now starting 5 including an 18 year old quarterback? Prince definitely gets the nod. Sorry guys, I disagree with this Ron Prince statement. Yes, he has had a good year, but look what we have overcome. Two Top DB's Injured, one Top LB Injured and both a RB and LB out off and on through the year with hamstring injuries. With all of that, I would say that Callahan has not just done an average job but a GREAT job. In addition, we went from 110 in the Nation in Rushing Last Year to the Top 20 this year. If anyone deserves this award, it would be Bill Callahan. Have we forgotten that we are going to the Big XII Championship? The only reason that K-State won Saturday night was due to McCoy's injury. We beat Texas with McCoy; yes, maybe the score does not reflect it, but we out coached and out played the Number 4 team in the Nation. These are only my opinions so take them for what they are worth.
  14. After doing a little research, it looks like this kid from Wylie, TX (Patrick Witt) might be what we are actually looking for. However, I am sure most of you know better than I on if this kid talents will go far in the WCO. Here is a quick blog I found on him from Texas Highschool Football: "By Jake Shaw/TexasFootball.com It's likely even Wylie boosters are asking "who's Patrick Witt?" When Lone Star Recruiting published its top 10 list by position of Texas preps, Witt ranked 10th among a strong class of QBs. It backed the selection by showing the Wylie senior-to-be combined for 1,300 yards of offense and 27 TDs as a junior. Yet there wasn't a single "Witt" on last year's Wylie roster. That's easily explained. Witt is a transfer from Georgia, and his commitment to Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon shows he'll likely quickly adapt to Texas high school football. "He hasn't missed a practice since he got here," said Bill Howard, the longtime Wylie assistant head coach who was promoted to head coach in the offseason. "He's really picked up (offensive coordinator Shanon) Purcell's offense," Howard continued. "He's had a great spring and has been the quarterback for every 7-on-7 game." Witt, the son of two airline pilots, should benefit from the move to Texas. Last year his numbers were somewhat muted by his team's Wing-T offensive formation. Howard said some schools were slow to pull the trigger on the 6-4, 215-pound prospect, hoping to see what kind of offense he'd land in. Wylie should accommodate Nebraska's spread offense. "We throw the football from the beginning of practice and don't quit until the end," Howard said. Wylie, one of the faster growing areas in the state, is used to transfers. That explains how Wylie moved up to Class 5A from 4A after the UIL's February realignment. But few, Howard said, have brought this much promise. "We always have move-ins, but never at the quarterback position," Howard said. "We're used to developing our own." Witt chose Nebraska over nearly 10 other programs, including in-state offers from Baylor, Texas Tech and UTEP. He's the third Texas prep from this year's class to pledge to Nebraska, joining Ian Harris of SA Churchill and Brenham's Shawn Sullivan."
  15. well, then look for a Husker fan...'cause that might be me. lol I think I'll ditch my normal white, long sleeve shirt that night and wear the bright red hoodie with the big N on it. It'd be awesome to see some more Husker fans there. And since it's an Irish pub, Guinness pints are the only thing that's cheap that night ($3)...but they have a kick ass Irish bluegrass band and TVs all over the bar...and of course whatever beer you might want. Man, I'm siked for that weekend! See you there; we should arrive into town around 5:30 PM on Friday. We should be ready to drink at 5:31 PM. What is the address so I can map quest.
  16. USA Today is stating his condition is day to day. He has 10 days recover and my guess is that he will be fine and ready to play.
  17. Husker fans should hit up W.J. McBride's out south, if you find yourself around 119th and Metcalf area that night (not the McBride's by the speedway). Great Irish pub that I hit up every Friday night for great music and cheap Guinness. I'd love to drink it up with some Huskers. Of course, that might be too far for some people coming from out of town that are staying closer to the stadium....but still if you're staying downtown, you have a lot to choose from. Westport isn't to far from you, and that's the main bar scene. Then of course you have the more "high class" Plaza side of things. We will see you at W.J. McBride's Friday night; we are staying at the Holiday Inn in Overland Park. Love cheap beer even if it is Guinness.
  18. I just do not see Texas loosing at home to A&M. Stranger Sh** has happend, but if McCoy is back, they will win.
  19. Wake Forest Class Breakdown: Freshmen 43 Sophomores 18 Juniors 23 Seniors 16 I was unable to find a decent depth chart, so I do not know how many starting seniors will be graduating.
  20. I know it is early, but any idea of where the pre-game beer fest will be Friday night?
