  1. I was actually hoping Novell would get the job. Although he would still be in the same division, Husker Nation could have promoted Watson to OC and hired a QB coach from the list of Callahan's many contacts.
  2. Retiring Taylor's jersey is too much. Right now, I'd rate him as the most important recruit for Callahan, but that doesn't warrant a retired jersey.
  3. Murtha continues to get too much respect as a football player. He is a young adult, and a fine one at that, but he has not lived up to the hype. We need to take our "star glasses" off and analyze what happens on the field. Our fine coaches have given Murtha multiple chances to prove himself and he has not. Simple as that.
  4. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 23 glorious years!! GBR 2) What/who led you to The Nation? Husker Nation 3) Where are you from originally? Fort Collins, Colorado 4) Where do you live now? Omaha 5) Favorite Husker memory? 2006 A&M Game...We're on our way back! 6) Worst Husker memory? '96 Arizona State game...I couldn't believe we lost. I was at a party and we all agreed that we wouldn't talk about it on the way home. I didn't watch ESPN for a week. 7) Number of home games attended? 24 8) Number of away games attended? 6 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? '95 Fiesta Bowl stadium shot signed by T. Frazier 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Memorial Stadium...if the crowd is into it, there isn't anything else like it. 11) Favorite all time player? Mike Brown 12) WCO or Option? Winning 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Pederson. The move had to be made. The cupboards were empty. 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Both...I hate when people answer like that. Lil Red. 15) Favorite Husker play? Taylor to Mo P. I think that play was so important to Husker Nation's return to dominance. 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Where's the booze? 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) You tube videos. GBR "Wisdom is knowing how little we know." Socrates
  5. "No interest" would be an is the correct thing to say for any coach rumored to be up for another job. I find it hard to believe that Callahan wouldn't listen to an NFL offer. Those people who say Callahan wouldn't leave us are in for a rude awakening within the next five years, probably much sooner than I'd like.
