Baseball career over a football career seems like a no brainer to me. What is the average career of football vs. baseball players? I'm guessing baseball is several years longer. And I would bet the average baseball salary is significantly greater than the average football salarly...

obviously with a different offense....just like we don't need a great option QB to win a championship with our current offense.

No one ever pays as much attention to the last thing in a parade, so I suppose their argument is that the city intentionally put them at the end so that they would get less attention. A hard argument to make, but one that could obviously convince a judge.

Yeah, that sucks, but I don't really fault the storage company. Blame the person that hacked his checking account. The storage place was probably just following the terms of their contract with the poor guy.

Have to believe it is one of the 2, if not both. I have read many a rumor that said that there was an agreement between Solich and Osborne that he would take over. Rumors are not good for much until there is some juice put behind them. you're probably right. it probably was a promise to both of them.

my bet is that he made a promise to his wife. i suppose he could have made the promise to frank solich, but if that is true, i'm going to stab myself in the eye.

This argument is a little bit like that web site that links one team to another -- the one where I can prove that Alcorn State is better than USC because Alcorn State beat a team, that beat a team.... The best measure of who is the better team is the head to head match-ups. Unfortunately, those prove that the south was better than the north this year.

At that point you are in desperation stage, so I don't think there is any right answer. The chances of scoring even after a return were fairly remote, so I don't think it was a horrible idea to put everyone on the line of scrimmage to go for the block since there was probably a better chance of blocking the punt than scoring after a punt return. Either way, it was a long shot.

exactly. while there is no doubt that we need a better kicker, there aren't many college players who have a great chance of making a 47 yard field gold into the wind.

ok then. What would you be saying if the play went off without a hitch?.............................that's what i thought. I would have said, "wow, we're really lucky that one worked......not a very smart call." and no, i'm not on the "fire callahan" bandwagon. i like him, but that was a really bad call.
