  1. I'm sorry, but I have seen Prep play this year and they are awful. They should not be ranked. I attended the game against Central and they stunk the joint up. They don't have any team speed at all. They were lucky to only lose 28-12.
  2. Ok, I feel a little better now. We need to pass more to open that run back up. They are stacking the line.
  3. That is AWESOME to hear. I've always thought it extremely classy that we cheer for the other team win or lose. I remember in 1991 I watched the losses against Washington and Colorado in person, both heartbreakers, and it was very gratifying to see the sea of red act with such class. Great to know it is noticed elsewhere.
  4. At the very least this gets our foot in the door. How many times has a recruit talked about coming here with absolutely no expectations and then been blown away by the atmosphere and known by the time he was leaving that this was the place for him? It happens two or three times each year. I wanna say I read that scenario with either Compton or Meredith this year. Let's just get him here and see what happens. You never know!!
  5. I agree with 16. Whoever said 11 needs to wake up! Whether or not we are worthy of that high of a ranking remains to be seen, but the thread is where will we end up, not where would you vote them. I think 16 is reasonable, but we could end up 17. I would guess no lower than 17.
  6. How about: The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same GO BIG RED!! Basically meaning we are back!!!
  7. Lucky needs to stay healthy like Green did in 97. Buckhalter was his backup. F**k Mark May. Umm, did I forget anything?
  8. Tostenson is out for the year with a bad knee.
  9. I agree 100%. Coming out as hot as you come in is most important. I would like to see a more aggressive defense, which should be more of an option with a better defensive backfield this year. I also think that the offensive gameplan at times last year stagnated and played more to stay in the game: USC, OU and Auburn in particular.
  10. Bronson March, the sophomore QB for the Patriots, had 250+ yards receiving and Tostenson had just 3 rec for like 27 yards. The other two starters had all of the yard and TD's. Ty Kildow, 5'7" 170 Jr. (who won fastest man at NU's summer camp this year) had two really long catches with one for a TD and Jordan Hale 5'11" Jr also had a long TD (70+). Tostenson will get his chances as long as he keeps his nose clean, but with three hgih quality WR like they have it will be difficult for any one guy to have a monster season. FYI, Kildow (who was the only Sophomore on the All-Nebraska First Team in Baseball this spring) is the most explosive player on the team. Tostenson has the best combo of physical size and ability but because of the other two, Hale might actually get more opportunities for big plays because he may get lost out there like Brandon Stokely did a few years back for the Colts. They will be tough to beat.

  12. He seems pretty interested. Looks good. Can never have too many good corners.
  13. Anyone know about this guy? He still has us listed among his favorites on rivals. Any chance here?
  14. Nevertheless, he is a Nebraska Cornhusker, which is a tremendous accomplishment that he will forever be able to brag about. Very, very great of him to realize this and not be greedy like most of the team probably is His parents should be proud of the way he is handling this. Great character is hard to find in young people these days so it's really refreshing when it jumps in your face like this. I'm a Joey Ganz fan!
  15. He signed for a good 30 minutes + after fan day was over despite the staffers telling him it was time to go. For that matter so did a lot of guys including ALL of the receivers and QB's. Barry Turner stood out and seemed excited to sign for people. That was refreshing. Other observations: Jaivorio Burkes is freaking huge! Marlon Lucky is pretty shy (I was the last one to a sig from him before he went into the lockerroom (sweet)! Corey Mckeon really does think he is a rock star. Terrence Nunn laughed out loud when I told him I wanted Austin to be the scene of "Terrance's Revenge" this year. Terrence also needs to work on his calves, they look like wrists. Currenski Gilleylen looked like a kid in a candy store. Austin Stafford has got some serious hair. Will Henry has really bulked up. Llydon Murtha seems to just go on forever he's so tall. It's fun to watch your sons meet their heroes!
  16. Judging by the comments Demmons made after his visit, he should be next... Schawing!!!!!
  17. Love to have this guy but, this... who has the biggest bannana crap...let him go. I have 7 questions? Seems like a game. Yes, I know the kid is 17, needs a bit of guidance, and this is a HUGE disicion, but I almost think these kids enjoy this modern age of the internet. They all read Rivals and Scout and our boards to see what we all say....I will take a guy who just wants to play football over some 4 or 5 star punk. who perhaps needs guidance from dad, playing 7 question any day. We can find better. Yes, I know many will disagree with this post but I also know there is a silent majority who agree with me. C'mon man, are you kidding me?
  18. He doesn't have a lot of offers but I just like the look of how he moves with and without the ball. He looks very impressive. Great sleeper potential.
  19. We have got to get the coaching staff to look at this kid. I was checking out Jonas Gray video on Rivals and saw this kid and man he looks good. Check him out in his only video http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.a...704&sport=1 He looks like a player to me. Let's get the coaching staff to look at this kid.
  20. Yep. Him not visiting us is a good indication he will probably not be coming here. I agree, I didn't realize that he hadn't visited.
  21. i would guess mike lb due to his height. he is really only 5'11 unlike the original post where it lists him at 6'1. Uh oh, looks like we have a shot at Beachum here. He is set to announce withing the next week. What do you guys think? http://nebraska.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=2&c=661013
  22. Check out this article on the first day of the Elite 11 camp. Gabbert was "a man among boys"! Here is the link. http://ssfootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=693993
  23. I believe you are thinking of Mark LeFlore not Horne. Just thought I'd help get the story straight. If this kid didn't play well at the 7 on 7 thing then the staff at NU is probably aware of it. If this kid has issues the staff is probably aware of them. If this kid isn't worth taking a chance on the staff is more then likely aware of that as well. If this kid is a freak of nature that needs to grow up.........guess what the staff is probably aware of that to. He won't end up at NU if he is bad news. or the thread can continue with this --> I think you are right, that was Mark LeFlore. My bad David.
  24. Right. Trailing Notre Dame and Michigan, but at least we beat OU and KSU. Ok, time to let go of the "My dad is tougher than your dad" argument with schools here. The kid just wants to make sure he ends up at the right school. If his dad is behind it, oh well. If he's wants to be N he will be. All this hot air is kind of ridiculous.
