  1. I saw a coach that was defeated in that press conference. I think he realizes that he doesnt have the answers to this season and it is getting to him. I think he truely cares for this program and wants to succeed, Im just not sure if he can regain the confidence necessary for that task. We will all know more on Saturday. If they lose, you an expect to be 4-5 after Texas, which would make everything worse and he would have no other choice but to resign. I feel sorry for him and his staff, I hope they turn things around. I can't decide whether I feel sorry for him or not. In that conference yesterday he also said that the knows that he is doing "an excellent job." He really destroyed the culture surrounding the team. I mean people can't even sit through whole games. Like Sipple said in his column, he's had two teams flat out quit on him and this years team just proves that the Raiders weren't just a bunch of prima donnas.
  2. Saw them play Cal this year- only lost by 6 and shut down Desean Jackson. Should've beat CU- lost in OT.
  3. Live in Chicago currently but grew up in Fort Collins, CO. The defensive coordinator at Colorado State is former Husker Steve Stanard. Not an extremely impressive record at CSU, but has had no players to work with. Any thoughts?
  4. I don't know who to blame. After Ball State I thought the players just threw in the towel. After this fiasco I think the blame has to lie wholly with the coaches. Just glad the game next week isn't on TV so others can't see us get embarrassed.
  5. I too have gone to games in Boulder for many years but 2005 was just plain ridiculous. Waiting 30 minutes while the students were kicked out. I brought a Polish friend of mine to the game and he was almost hit by a bleacher chair kicked by a CU alum a few rows back. Honest to God the worst fans in the NCAA.
  6. Check out the front page of heismanpundit.com. Not only does the author list Keller as a possible dark horse Heisman candidate, he throws Lucky into the mix as well.
  7. I should be going. I go to school in Chicago but should be back in Fort Collins for Thanksgiving.
  8. Colorado hands down. Coming from Fort Collins, CO I can safely say that they have the worst fans after watching their entire student section getting removed from the stadium in the 2005 game for throwing stuff. I also brought a friend who had never been to a game before, but some alumn kicked one of those bleacher chairs and it hit him. So yeah, beat the Buffs.
  9. I agree that Swain or Pavelka back would be better. Rose could be good but he makes too many mistakes which he is constantly correcting himself. But my biggest complaint about his call is all the stupid analogies he tries to make or cutesy remarks. Rose has the knowledge of Nebraska football...just call the game like a normal human being and throw us some interesting facts about the players and let Adrian comment and move on. Rose is doing a disservice to himself by calling games the way he does. Haha I guess I forgot to consider the analogies. I seem to remember him comparing Taylor's arm to the sword of Caesar once.
  10. Ahahahahaa!!! Aahhaha! Good one dude, good one. I though you were serious there for a second. Jim "Sounds like we just won the National Championship every single down" Rose He IS brutal. I'd rather listen to Rosie O'Donell call a game. Granted I'd rather have Swain or Pavelka back to call the games, but I don't see what the big deal is with Jim Rose. He's honestly entertaining and gets excited about the game. Since I couldn't get the A&M game online, I had to listen to The Drive online, and the way Rose called it made it amazingly exciting considering I wasn't watching it. Also, who cares how he calls a touchdown, as long as its 6 more points for us. :-) Personally, I think its unique to him in the way that he says it.
  11. I forgot to mention Adrian Fiala- he adds nice color.
  12. I agree the radio I much better. I live in Chicago currently, so I end up listening to most games online anyways, but if a games on TV, I'll kick on the radio. The Drive againt A&M was called 10x better by Jim Rose than by the TV announcer. Best announcers: Jim Rose Ken Pavelka (announcing basketball currently) Warren Swain ("He's got a man downfield..... it is.... ERIC CROUCH!") Lyle Bremser ("Man, woman and child!)
