By the end of the season we'll have losses to 4 or 5 QBs who started the year as backups. Our backup QBs can't even get on the field when the starter throws pick after pick. What does this say about our offense? Here's a hint, it's smelly and comes out of a bull's ass. We are far, far, far from the elite of college football.

Our "star" cost us the game with his fumbles. One directly leading to three ISU points and the other keeping 7 off the board for us. Face it, we have no "star" on offense.

At least he can catch the freaking ball, unlike the current receivers on the roster.

I don't know what message they were going for, but the one I got was, "We're all a bunch of f*uckups who can't pull our heads out of our asses and play better football than a decent high school team. But we love each other!"

That's exactly what I'm worried about. At some point, fans will start to vote with their feet and we'll become no better than a Sun Belt program.

This kind of B.S. doesn't help recruiting at all..... You know what helps recruiting? Not putting a team on the field that has more turnovers than points and loses to f*cking Iowa State.

BULLS#IT the season is not lost. Our defense is dominant. We can still win the North & play for a Big XII championship. Something has to be done about the offense. We don't need to score 50 points every game but 20 would be nice & our defense can keep us in games. If we can score 20 points every game for the rest of the year, we could very well go 9-3 Sounds great, but how the hell are we going to score 20 against OU, KSU, CU, or KU? They only put up 7 against a terrible Cyclone team. I hope they can find the answer, but we're 7 games in and we're getting worse every week to the point that we look to be among the worst of the Big 12.

Agreed. But this is the 3rd game in a row where the players didn't appear ready to play or be mentally in the game. At some point the buck has to stop with the coaches.

Seriously. I wouldn't want to play for this crap hole of an offense. Or for a team that continues to build on its reputation for making stupid mistakes.

3 penalties for 25 yards. Other than the fumble, Robinson had 15 carries for 77 YDS and a TD, not too shabby. And a fumble that cost us 7, so his day was at best a wash.

Yeah, it's definitely gonna get VERY ugly now... Why shouldn't there be meltdowns? After a performance like that, at home? This team doesn't have what it takes to win. After seeing that sh!t we call an offense we'll be lucky to make a bowl game. Every other Big 12 North team looks better than us. even K-State! OU will destroy us again. Maybe we can beat Baylor but I don't see much beyond that. This team has regressed unbelievably through the season. Its too bad that Suh's senior season is such a waste. I wish his heart would rub off on the rest of the team, but they're all proving to be a bunch of losers.

That's just it. The offense has sucked against real competition. Sure they had a good 4th quarter against MU, but after Saturday that looks more like a fluke than anything else. Obviously there are many problems that need to be fixed, but its not like we have another great offensive line waiting on the bench or some awesome receivers yet to see game time or some great stable of RBs like USC. Quarterback is the one place we can make a big change. Its time to make it.

Just because someone has questions about how good the Huskers are doesn't mean they are biased against the Big Red or anti-Nebraska. Half the people on this board have questions: about the offense, about the secondary, about the playcalling. The Huskers haven't done anything yet so far this season to show they're the front runners for the North. Hopefully that will change on Oct. 8.

The writer was subtly trying to be sarcastic, but apparently it didn't get through to everybody. Yeah it got through to me. Sometimes I swear people are just looking for the negatives about Dear ol' Nebraska U. Seriously. I just read the article and don't see how it in any way could be construed to be negative about Nebraska, Crouch or Frazier.

Good recap. While there are areas that need shoring up, the guys performed well for the first game. Next week hopefully we'll see some of those things ironed out, i.e, fewer dropped passes, fewer penalties, etc. At least those are things that can be corrected and we're not questioning heart or how hard the guys are playing anymore!

I heard that as well, I was going to mention it but you beat me!! I actually didnt see it on the show, I heard about it from my wife and we decided to check it out. We didnt see it, if you remember the exact let me know as we DRV'd the show. BTW- her voice is deep for a girl, is there something I didnt pick up on that I should have? and now a dancing corn cob It was season 3 episode 5, "Tick, Tock Biological Clock". As far as the deep voice goes, as far as I know she's always been a girl.

a little off topic, but related... last night I was watching a re-run of LA Ink and Kat Von D was sporting an old school Cornhuskers shirt. It was hot.
