  1. Just wondering everyone's opinion on the spring game. 1) I know we've had very good fan participation in the past, but do we come near 70,000 possibly 80,000 fans this year? 2)Will 1s play 1s finally? 3)Do we have any freshmen coming in at semester that will be able to play in it? 4)How pumped are all you to get this train-a-rollin'? GBR!
  2. I would agree with pretty much everyone here. I'm really anxious to see how the defense in terms of LB's and DB's will turn out. I'm thinking that we will utilize speed much more than the years past. I can Asante moving to backer and possibly Culbert, both should be playmakers. Then you add in Washington and there is plenty of outside speed to complement Dillard in the middle. As for DB's I'm really anxious to see these new guys that received so much hype...Prince, Blue, West, Haag...and I'm obviously looking forward to seeing Thenarse in a starting role. Oh wow, I'm getting way too excited.
  3. My goodness, I don't know about the rest of you but I've been on huskerboard for 5 out of my 6 hours of work today and all it's accomplished is making me go crazy!
  4. FYI, the meeting tomorrow is just an end of the year meeting with the players for MVP's of the team and stuff like that. Cassidy came out and cleared that up. According the "The Spread"
  5. All this talk makes me very excited. It's hard for me to believe that we don't have some real good players...java script:emoticon('', 'smid_13')
  6. I think the other way around on this topic. I love having two divisions meet for a conference championship. I think that ALL conferences need to incorporate a championship game. My thoughts.
  7. I listened to The Spread yesterday and they had people calling in about their personal experiences going to games in Boulder. I had trouble believing some of the stuff that had happened. Here is a few things I recall. 1. A Husker fan with a gold and black jeep (CO plates) had a huskers sticker or something on the car and after they came back from the 63-36 pounding to find the Jeep had been stolen. 2. One witty Husker fan with CO plates took his Husker magnets off of his car (remembering hearing horror stories) and put them on the CO car beside him. He came back to see that the car beside him had the windows and all the lights broken out. 3. This one was a stretch, but still the caller sounded pretty serious about it. He had ran onto the field after a close win back in the 1970's and while celebrating saw a man get knocked down by a CU fan and his glasses flew off. The CU fan then went back to step on the glasses. The Husker fan went back to help the man up and it was Bob Devaney. Believe what you want to. These are the things that just amaze me at the difference in fanbases. BEAT CU!!
  8. Ahman Green. Purest running in Huskers history, only 16yds behind Ricky Williams (nations leader) with one less carry in 2007.
  9. Yeah, that's Simi Kuli. Oh... Well don't I feel real stupid now. They didn't even list his name in this article. I saw Bryan Munson in bold letters and thought that this was the recruits name. Just another reason I don't like scout.com. java script:emoticon('', 'smid_25')
  10. This was the first time I've heard anything about this guy. Just wondering if anyone had any information on him. Here is the link. http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p...d2%26c%3d694087
  11. exactly. first, everyone screams 'PLAY TEH FRESHMEN!!!1!" and cally doesn't, so he sucks. now he's plays a freshman and now cally is being a vendictive prick. heads, callahan is wrong. tails, the mob is right. whatEVER. It's not that fact that he may burn his redshirt, it's when he chose to burn his redshirt.
  12. For anyone who's ever played in a game of football distractions don't mean anything once the game starts. Once the game starts not one of those players is thinking about their new athletic director or the job security of their coach. Whatever is going on off the field is not thought of during the game. If anything this week should be used as fuel to light some fire in the stadium...Just my two cents from experience.
  13. I personally don't like the idea of chanting. It sends a message that we have given up on this season, the current coaching staff, and most importantly the players. I would be embarrassed to be in the stadium if that chant started. I'm not a big Callahan supporter but, I don't think it's like he's given up. He and the coaching staff (no matter how ineffective they have been) should be rallied behind to salvage this season as best as possible. That kind of public scrutiny is not going to help out this "Husker Nation." Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth.
  14. The radio is having reports of a big press conference, but I haven't seen it announced anywhere else.
  15. LIE!!!!! McBride was just on the radio saying this is absolutely not true about him. AM 590. The Callahan situation is still up in the air.
  16. %100 Agreed! I attended Doane during Frazier's short, awful stint at Doane. Great Husker legend. Terrible coach and honestly not the most respectable human being. His name should never even come up to coach a pee wee league.
  17. Good call IBR. http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=1200...;u_sid=10159845
  18. Jordan Congdon I've always thought these two had a big resemblense. Franke Muniz
  19. Unfortunately, I've decided not to do this anymore. I was unable to get around the copyright issues involved. You can still watch it online, but you must go through huskers.com Nside. We really should be supporting them anyway. I will still be posting edited footage and or short clips of different things. Ya that's true. Big fan of Husker Media. Nice Job.
  20. Just wondering if the latest Callahan will be posted on the Husker Media blogspot like it was last week. It's nice to watch over lunch break.
  21. I do agree that overall the sound has been down a bit. But lets face it, so have the Skers This game will be very loud. Not only is it the biggest game for years in Lincoln. It is at night. Everybody's gonna be nice and boozed up and that always helps too. Love them Skers!
  22. Mo will play plenty this game. We'll need him as a threat if WF's run D is as good as advertised. Just because he is listed behind Swift, doesn't mean he won't see the field just as much (or more) than anyone. If I recall, one of our first passes against Nevada was to Holt (an unproven receiver, who is down on the charts.) He make his catch, as will everyone else. My guess is that BC will test out that "good" run D first before bringing an all airborne attack. Love them Skers
