Staying at embassy suites south of dfw airport... I have seen exactly 2 sooner fans here. We went to sundance square downtown last night and it was the same story. Every establishment we went to was full of husker fans. Good stuff!

Hey guys been a fairly silent member of Huskerboard for some time now. While I don't post much I read a lot of the threads and that is why I trust I can get some help on this. I need some ideas for T-Shirts for a group of 14 people going to the Big 12 Championship game saturday. We could all have the same shirts, or use our 14 members to spell something out. You can't use draft status and what they do in the pro's as an argument. College is a whole different beast. Best ex. Tommie Frazier... one of the best College football players in history... had no real chance in the pros. regardless of the bloodclots.

your opinion Dave, but most would agree, he has been a disappointment so far. a misread, can't take a hit. numbers dont lie. he might not be a power back, but he's pretty darn good. If we had a decent line he would really be a load. You can't call it a misread, every recruit is a case of 'russian roulette.' I do agree with the post (Can't remember who) that we haven't had a really good back in a long time. Lucky, IMHO, is a good back but not a reallly good back. Ahman Green and lawrence phillips were the last of the great backs that we have had at Nebraska. People bring up Corry Ross, B-JAX, and maybe should bring up Dan Alexander, Correl Buckhalter, I may be missing someone here. I group these guys all together. None bad-none great. all had many pros all had just as many cons. If you objectively look at all these backs and what they did at Nebraska... You can clearly see a definition b/t Green/Phillips and the rest of the bunch. Back to the point though Lucky, IMO, is better than the rest... Somewhere in b/t the separation. He has speed, ellusiveness, quckness, can catch, can block, can break tackles( at times), can break the long one. That last one is the big one that I think our backs have been lacking the last 8 or so years.

haha. I don't think it's horrible that the guy as having a beer with his friends. Should he have been in church begging for forgiveness? Not the point! but good one I was not questioning whether or not he should have been drinking, but the fact that he was doing it in such a public setting directly after such a poor performance on the field. I I was more questioning his and the teams focus and determination on football.

That is fine allthough I have no way of providing such confirmation. Unless you have some insiders at the Embassy or know someone else that was there, there is no way of independently confirming such. I was just trying to providing some information I saw pertinent to the situation our Defense/team seems to be in this season. Not that it should matter but... I didn't have a drop of alcohol in my blood yesterday, we were there meeting some friends for a birthday party and I was on call for work. So it wasn't even my beer goggles I was looking through. No offense taken, but just cause I am new to the board doesn't make what I saw/ am reporting any less true.

haha. As far as absence at the press conference. I believe the way it works is that the press submits players that they want to hear from. Then the player can come out, or I guess not. Do you know if Cory was requested? No, I do not Know. I would assume that he was not requested as he would have likely been there. Sorry, maybe that shouldn't have been the subheading for the thread topic.
