  1. Pelini even said that the first drive they were using formations that they had never seen. After the first drive, they got the photos from upstairs, made adjustments, and the rest is history...
  2. Journal-World reporter Robert Riley was walking down Massachusetts Avenue Monday afternoon asking respondents their opinion about the Jayhawks' loss at South Florida three days prior. Riley originally planned to pose a question about the stock market collapse, but that produced little passion among respondents. So the football question was asked, first to a normal-looking college student who was waiting for a couple of his friends to leave a store. Here's the way Riley relayed the conversation to Keegan. Riley: "Has the KU football team's recent loss shaken your faith in the team?" Student: "I sure hope not." Riley: "Why's that?" Student: "I'm on the team." Riley: "What position do you play?" Student: "I'm the quarterback." It turns out that Riley was asking the questions of Reesing, who ended up as the first answer in Riley's column on Tuesday morning. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2008/sep/17/k...ery_man/?sports
  3. And if those officials knew what holding was, KU loses that game by 10+.
  4. I'm not responding to your picture, saunders, I just love, love, LOVE your signature. I want to taste your tears Jayhawk fans. I want to taste their salty goodness. Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness! Yesss. YESSS! I did it because he won't. Told me he had "no respect" or some crap. Whatever, be a man.
  5. For those that watched the PPV of the New Mexico State game... Quentin Castille Darren McFadden
  6. Do whatever Bo did last year when VT played LSU. I think it was 45-7, and VT was better last year.
  7. And when they lose??? So much for booking that one, I wonder if you watched that game? He'll talk trash, but won't man up and put the signature in.
  8. The KU tackles were holding all night long, it was pretty ridiculous.
  9. Dunno why no respect, but whatever. Congrats on the bet. That was the best game I've ever been too. I thought it was over about halfway through the second, but they finally came out in the second half and played like I knew they would. That said, I would love to know why the Big 12 refs don't call holding.
  10. There is no Strength of Schedule in the BCS rankings, it simply doesn't matter.
  11. Ha.... If you're so sure, you'll put the final score in your signature, and keep it there for the rest of the season, win or loss.
  12. Did you watch that game???? UCF had barely 200 yards of offense and USF made the mistake of letting off the gas. Also, USF was missing their 1st and 2nd string RB's, which explains why they let off the running game at the end. I guarantee, if Mike Ford and Ben Williams were in that game, it ends 24-10 or 31-10. Bulls by 8.
  13. Agreed, KU's running game has been less than stellar. If they don't get a large boost from special teams, USF wins. I say USF by 8.
  14. I hope he isn't doing much blocking, but tackling instead....
  15. It's true... "Pelini, who has made it a point to strengthen Nebraska’s walk-on program, also told the crowd Matt O’Hanlon, a senior walk-on from Bellevue, probably will start at free safety ahead of junior Rickey Thenarse, and that the status of injured offensive tackle Lydon Murtha probably will be a game-time decision." http://www.huskerextra.com/articles/2008/0...7c656287692.txt
  16. No. Gameplan only covers games on the ESPN/ABC family of networks...
  17. Fi we lost to VT, I'll be pissed. They don't have a single receiver with a catch returning, thin at RB, and lost a good portion of their defense. They also have a good chance of losing to ECU... And no way we lose to the kitties.... ISU has a better chance...
  18. The local watch site has confirmed that the three PPV games will be shown. I won't be able to make the first game, but I'l be there for the next two. Marriott Waterside 700 South Florida Ave Tampa, Florida 336 813-221-4900 www.tampabayhuskers.com/
  19. Didn't look too good against Oregon's spread, or did UofO go with their I-formation stuff they lost their starting QB. USF losing their MLB, 2nd in tackles, and the starting corners can't be good either. Their offense should be pretty good with only 1 starter lost and Grother back. Anyway, I'll definitely watch that game with interest. Not sure why all the Nebraska fans want Kansas to lose. I'd like them to be undefeated when the Huskers beat them. Honestly, it was a combination of the team just being happy to be there, and Oregon exploiting the size of the Defensive Tackles. As far as Ben Moffit, the MLB, being gone, that's not much a an issue IMO as Tyrone McKenzie, the leading tackler, slid over into his spot. This bigger question, IMO, is the loss of Jenkins and Williams, the best CB tandem IMHLO... As far as wanting Kansas to lose, KU fan along with MU fan has gotten way to big of a head after 1 season of success...
  20. McCarney was just the Defensive Line Coach. Coach Leavitt and DC Wally Burnham are the real brains, although I do think McCarney had quite a bit to do with Selvie's emergence. Oh, and Cy, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that Tyrone McKenzie is a freakin' beast, and from what I hear, one of the smartest players in USF history(short as it is).
  21. I'm really looking forward to this game also. I started following the Bulls after watching them thump on West Va. last season. Hopefully they can put together a full season. If USF comes out this year like last year then Kansas had better have it strapped on. I read somewhere that USF specifically recruits its players to stopping Pat White, well WV runs the spread. Kansas also runs the spread with more passing. If they can shut down KU's run game and make them one dimensional, a win will not be out of the question. Agreed, and with KU losing their 3rd RB in as many weeks, it's gonna be interesting. The achilles of USF's defense the last 2 years has been great between the tackles running, which KU won't have this year.
  22. As a USF season ticket holder (my wife's an Alum) I pray to God that KU comes in with the confidence and cockiness that JGS30 has. George Selvie will have 3 sacks, the USF secondary will have 3 picks, and Reesing will be eating the turf in Raymond James stadium, all while the Bulls come away with a 2+ TD win. When they get their asses beat on national Television, and KU leaves the field to a shower of cheeseburgers from the student section (and Mangino eats 6 before he even gets to the tunnel), I'll be standing in section 214 with my Husker gear on screaming "See you in Lincoln, Losers!!!"
