  1. I would say that TO is on top of things more than we even know. Do not be surprised if he has not made his choice for a new HC and already started the salary negotiation.
  2. ISU and Wake would beat us right now easily. Notre Dame or Temple (two worst teams in the country) would beat us right now.
  3. Sadly, that is very good advice. I really hope that we as fans will just let the season play out and not make this personal to the Callahan or Cosgrove Families. Even though they suck as coaches, they are fathers and husbands and I would hate for someone to treat my family like s*** even though I suck at what I did for a living.
  4. Nebraska Head Coach Bill Callahan On the game "First off you have to give credit to Kansas, they did a good job and they are a great football team. (Bull Sh**-You just suck as a coach)They played well in all dimensions of the game. You have to give them credit. They scored four straight times after the score was tied and really pulled away in the game. Give credit to Mark Mangino. They are very well coached and a very disciplined football team. They really outplayed us in all phases of the game. We wanted to come out in the second half and get a score and we did that. Then they got a very good kick-off return after that. Their (Kansas) special teams played very well all day. We had too many turnovers that led to the huge separation that was created in the third quarter." On the defense "We are doing everything that we can. There really are no other options if you are referring to coaching changes. We don’t have any options at this point. We are just going to do the best we can. We are just going to go home and get ready to play Kansas State. We are just going to keep working. As coaches we are just going to keep working, coaching, and motivating. We need to help the players get through this because this is a tough time for us. We are going to do everything in our power to help the kids out." On junior quarterback Joe Ganz "Joe (Ganz) had his good moments and his bad moments. I thought he did a pretty good job. In the first half he sparked us and then again in the second half on the first drive he sparked us again. He made some incredible plays and I am really proud of that. I know for a fact that he would like to have a few plays back in the third quarter that led to some turnovers. When you get behind by that margin, you really press to try to make a play and close up the game up a bit."
  5. I would like to see TO move the KU game to our first game of the season next year. We always play well during the first game and would love to get payback on KU right off the bat. We will have a new staff, new attitude and extremely motivated to make everything right with Nebraska football.
  6. Talk about pouring it on....what about that one college that put up 72 points in the 1st quarter and went on to win 86-0. It could be worse Husker fans BECAUSE we aren't that "ONE" college Quit whining, all i am saying is that IT COULD BE WORSE! Ok, we know the game is over; everyone sit back take a deep breath and put a smile on your face. Changes are coming and KU might love today, but going hate life very soon when playing the UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA in Big XII Football. Payback is a BITCH.
  7. Let him do it; changes are coming within Nebraska and as much as KU fans love this right now they will hate him very very very soon.
  8. OK, I know that everyone says that TO will not make changes during a season and I did agree with that until this afternoon. If we were to just lose a game that is understandable, but getting humiliated on National Television is another. I do not see Callahan getting canned this week, but I do see Coz gone after today. I would be very surprised if nothing happens. Thoughts?
  9. Sorry guys, the file is to large to import in Please click the link below: This reminded me of the Huskers at times this year; just a little off and really not knowing what the hell is going on.
  10. I have been doing some research and cannot seem to find where Nebraska has ever had a five game losing streak. Is this another record that BC will screw up for Nebraska IF we get beat this weekend?
  11. If you have tickets, please email me at kwrarden@aol.com
  12. If anyone needs a Hotel Room in Austin, please let me know. We have family coming in this weekend and will not be able to make it to the game. However, I do have a reservation at the Holiday Inn in Round Rock for Friday Night if someone does need a room. If you are interested, please respond back with your email address and I will forward you the hotel confirmation. The rate is $104.95.
  13. I guess we should have expected a season like this. If you look at BC history, he takes a team to the Super Bowl and falls apart the next year. Now it is the same at Nebraska, we win the North and then all hell breaks loose the following year. Al Davis fired his ass, now it is T.O. turn to fire his ass. Good riddance Mr. Callahan; now get the hell out of Nebraska and never come back again.
  14. Hello all, as many of you may remember, I left a few weeks ago and said I was not coming back until changes were made. Even though changes have not been made with our coaches, I know they are coming. I would like to see if I could receive approval from the board to come back and talk with the greatest fans in college football and discuss this horrible season and coaching staff. I love this board, but my emotions have been getting to me and I know that if I did not leave when I did, I was going to say something about this team or program that I could not take back. Hope you guys understand where I was coming from a few weeks ago and I also hope that no one has a problem with me coming back.
  15. I want to say thanks to each of you on this board for being so patient with me as I know that I bitch and moan every week. However, this is the last time you will hear from me this year. Changes must be made at Nebraska and until they are, I am done watching, reading, listening to the Nebraska Football Program This Year. I know that all of you are going to be saying that I am not a ture Husker Fan; well you are absolutely incorrect. I spent four of my best years at the University and I bleed Nebraska Red; however, until changes are made in the coaching staff, I cannot put myself through this each and every week. When Nebraska plays like they are tonight, I get soooo pissed off that I treat my wife and kids like sh** and just say mean things to them. We may never be another college powerhouse and I am perfectly fine with that; however, I cannot deal with getting embarrassed each and every week. It does not matter if we Win or Lose we continue to look like chickens running around with our heads cut off. That is what I cannot deal with. I have been one of Callahan biggest supporters; however, I am now done. BC is running this program like a pro team and until he figures out that this is College Football not Pro I can no longer support him. Thanks again guys and please do not think bad of me as this is a personal decision and until things change I just cannot watch this team.
  16. LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - After seeing his defense allow a combined 89 points and more than 1,000 yards in two home games, Nebraska coach Bill Callahan feels the same way as the Cornhuskers' disheartened fans. "I'm glad we have a 3-1 record as we go into conference competition," he said Monday, "but I'm not pleased where we're at." No one would have expected the 25th-ranked Cornhuskers to be undefeated at this point, not with top-ranked Southern California on the early schedule. But other than a season-opening, 42-point win over Nevada, Nebraska has underperformed for three straight games heading into Saturday's Big 12 opener against Iowa State. Fan unrest manifested itself in a shower of boos in the second half of Saturday's 41-40 win over Ball State. "There is criticism out there. I'm sure I'm at the heart of it," Callahan said during a conference call with reporters. "All I'm going to do is the best I can. There is a lot of season. You have to change where you're at from a performance standpoint and really change anything that you can to tweak and get your team going." The Huskers have plenty of areas to address. They're giving up 203.5 yards rushing, 203.5 yards passing and 29 points a game. Their front seven have just three sacks. They rank no higher than 45th nationally in any major statistical category. Defensive concerns arose Sept. 8 at Wake Forest. The Huskers won 20-17, but they failed to adjust to misdirection plays and gave up 376 yards. Then came the 49-31 loss to USC in a game that wasn't as competitive as the score showed. The disparity in talent was accentuated by poor tackling and missed assignments. The Trojans rushed for 313 of their 457 total yards. Ball State, a 23-point underdog, led by nine points with less than 10 minutes to play and probably would have won if Dante Love hadn't dropped a sure touchdown pass at the 10-yard line and Jake Hogue hadn't missed a 55-yard field goal at the end. The Cardinals rolled up 610 yards of offense, the most by a Nebraska opponent since Washington amassed 618 yards in Lincoln in 1991. The difference is the '91 Washington team went on to win a share of the national championship. Ball State hasn't had a winning season since 1996 and is picked to finish fourth in the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. Callahan, who publicly backed defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove last week, said Ball State exploited out-of-position defenders in passing situations. The Cardinals converted nine third downs and 12 plays went for 20 yards or more. The boos didn't surprise Callahan, who heard his share of catcalls as the beleaguered coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2003. He said he blocked them out. Callahan said linebacker Steve Octavien should have done the same thing rather than criticize fans in a radio interview after the game, saying: "If they don't like it, they don't have to come and watch the game." That's where Callahan draws the line. "I told him there are other ways to do that and that it wasn't appropriate," Callahan said, adding that he expected Octavien to apologize to the fans. If the Huskers don't improve, however, Callahan said he expects to hear more boos. "In America, people expect excellence, and that's what we're trying to achieve," he said. "When you don't achieve that, it's tough, and you have to endure that. It's part of the game, part of the culture. It's 2007 and I'm very well aware of the fans and their approach to the game and what they expect."
  17. That is a bull sh** comment. These three players do not come to Nebraska if it was not for Callahan and staff. Also, where is Lucky; is he not one of our top 3. IMO, he should be #1. He has not fumbled the ball this year as far as I can remember. Keller has thrown how many interceptions. Octavian has missed how many tackles? Purify, has he not dropped any balls this year? Give me a fu***** break; who the fu** cares what the media says anyway they just try to stir up sh**.
  18. Only difference is that Leach does or did not have a personal friendship with his DC that we know of. BC and Coz and good friends from way back and it is widely known and unless he is pushed by Peterson, I do not believe Coz will be let go or even step down. This is why most of us don’t work with our friends or make personal friendships in the work place because of issues just like this.
  19. You fire Coz this evening or tomorrow morning and you start looking for a new DC Monday Morning. You really have two weeks before you need a new DC on the staff. BC can run the defense against Iowa State. Their are good coaches in the NFL and College Level that are out of a job right now and would be looking for a chance to become a College Head Coach. You come to Nebraska and straighten up the Blackshirt Defense; you get a Head Coaching Job in 3-4 Years.
  20. Ok, take Keller out of the game and put Z. Taylor in his place; can Taylor win the game like Keller did? I would like a honest answer as I am still not totally impressed by Keller, but would like to know if he is not at Nebraska do we win at Wake and the B. State game. I guess my real question is; Sam Keller the real deal or could another QB do the same job as he has in the past few weeks.
  21. Just look for shoot-outs the rest of the year. If we get it in our mind that our defense will not be able to stop any team we might be able to enjoy the game and just watch our offense. Now if our defense grows some balls and learns to play football we might be able to get excited about both sides of the ball during a game. However, I do not see this happening anytime soon.
  22. You make a very good point. If anyone recorded the game, go back and watch the tunnel walk. No emotion at all when coming out. I guess I should have known by watching the Tunnel Walk that it was going to be a very long day.
