The only thing I see out of this is this PC is 1 hour earlier than normal. They are usually @12p. If it was at the normal 12p I would totally dismiss it. On that note there is probably some sort of scheduling conflict prompting the weekly PC to be held earlier than normal. Although I do hope BC will man up and resign, then have a hour to answer questions b4 starting the normal PC.

IMO, that kid was probably trying to start a rumor. Cause I'm sure BC won't be around next year. He won't fire his bffe COZ. This alone will cost him his job.

I think in light of what has transpired this season Watson shouldn't be considered for the HC job at NU. I think he maybe retained as OC and Qb coach by the next HC at NU, just not as a HC.

There is a difference in Billy C's faith as opposed to President Bush's faith. Bush wears it on his sleeve, Billy C doesn't. Not to say Billy C is a believing Christian. However if he is you'd never know it by his actions on and off the field. At least you always know where Bush stands on the whole faith issue.

Even Shatel says TO should Fire Billy C on 11/11 after the KSU game.

I was never comfortable w/Solich being a HC. I always thought it should've been Mc BRide w/Gill being the OC.

Billy C will be gone after the CU game. I know TO is a family man and wants to do what's right because Billy C has a family....however if Billy C get's fired he walks away w/$3.125 million. That's more than enough money to take care of him and his family for several years. The even better thing for TO is he only has to fire BC! The next HC would take care of letting go the other coaches he doesn't want. Not even TO will stake his reputation by retaining Billy C for 1 more year.

Here's how sure I am the Pelini won't be going to aTm. If he is named HC for aTm...I'll give you my right arm. How's that for banking on a good thing.

590 is full of crap. TO even said in his AD speech that Nancy would pull out a gun and shoot him if he got back into coaching.

From a rankings standpoint it would be his biggest. But the Alamo bowl vitory IMO was his biggest victory to date.

Drinking, gambling and losing, are leading to frustrated fans(?) that will hurt our recruiting efforts. You don't think every recruiting coordinator has these quotes about these dickheads in their briefcase when they visit? What are these dopeheads thinking yelling at student athletes? Out of curiousity, I cruised the Texas board and didn't see one complaint about fans yelling at the players to take the longhorn off their helmet or they suck after being down to NU at half! Yes, there was obviously some booing at the game but it was directed to Coach Brown who is on the hotseat in Austin. You don't lose to OU AND KSU w/o getting some heat. What high school do you go to if you are defending the kids yelling this stuff to our players? Oh, and BTW, if these insults were hurled at players as they left the stadium, I walked by the exit and saw a lot of dads with their sons/daughters looking for autographs...I'll take the players over the 'girlie boys' yelling the insults as roll models for my kids. These guys are worse than the Mizzou fans that stormed the field and got clocked when their fans stormed the field. At least our players show physical restraint after learning hard lessons. Just stop it and get the message to your buddies if you know the individuals involved. Stop defending this abysmal behavior. I think maybe Purify was embellishing on what he heard. If it was as bad as he says it was, then I don't know why in his right mind the #1 rated Juco player in the country Simi Kuli, decided to commit to Nebraska w/jerk a$$ fans yelling that type of garbage at the players. Why would he want to be a part of that crap? :-( He wouldn't. That's why I question Purify's recollection of the events. Kuli's been thinking about this for a long time, I hardly think fans yelling from behind the bench would have impacted his decision considering all the other factors he has to weigh. I have a better question. Why in the world would Purify make this up? Or is this the whole BC conspiracy to get players to blame the fans nonsense? Give me a break. I never alluded that he's making it up. I'm sure there was a fan or 2 that spouting of obscenities at him etc. However I doubt it was as bad as MO has made it out to be. According to him I took it as there were many fans behind the bench yelling and screaming at the players. My point was this: if there was a bunch of fans (let's say for argument's sake that's 20+) then more players would have heard all this crap going on instead of MO and Bowman. Not to mention that if these fans were spouting off at the mouth like this I'm sure the visiting recruits, ie. Kuli and Johnson, etc, would've either heard the commotion going on or would've been told that this was happened. Neither mentioned anything of the sort. leads me to believe it was a drunk student or 2 mouthing off to MO. Having seen or at least hearing this, if I was a recruit it would make me stop and reconsider giving my verbal to this particular university if a large majority of fans are going to act like this. This is why I think it as a couple fans and not a whole bunch. If that's the case then Kuli and other's can write it off as there are a couple jerks in every crowd, instead of there's a mob of jerks, let's get the heck out here.

I feel that just because some former players were great when they played in college and the pro's, doesn't translate to being good coaches. Usually the less talented player. Or the one who doesn't make it in the NFL seems to be the better coach. Look at Mike Leach...he never played 1 down of football in college or pro.

Obviously it wasn't very many fans or as bad as Purify makes it out to be. Why? The nation's top JUCO player committed a few days later after having attended the aTm game. He had stated the fans were one reason. Unless those fans yelling stuff at Purify was interpreted as a good thing by Kuli!

I think the next coach hired is probably someone that NU wants to be around for the next 10-15 years. I think Kiffen may coach for another 5 years max.
