  1. Yes, but keep in mind, this is the same school where one football player tried to run over another football player with his car a few months ago.
  2. http://www.kansascity.com/news/breaking_ne...ments_Container KU basketball and football players got into a fight last night. Lots of rumors flying about some big time names on their football team. Nothing substantiated yet, but this could sadly impact the north race. I hate to see something like this happen, even if it is the beakers, but hopefully appropriate discipline will be taken.
  3. Congrats! Your guys played with a ton of heart. Fun game to watch. Go Big 12!
  4. You guys do get a trophy. KU got one last year when they tied us.
  5. Funny thing about that is that Freeman never considered KSUcks when Snyder was still coach - it was only after the clown prince was hired that Freeman felt the "bond". It will be interesting to see what TEXT BOY decides to do....somehow, I don't see that as a match made in heaven. Rumor that Eckler leaving to go to KSU: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=173&f=2670&t=3463955

  7. I for one wish that this whole incident would just die. Pelni is up next on the Big 12 teleconference. I am sure he will comment on it. During his segment on the teleconference Pinkel said the issue was over that he and Pelini had communitcated and it was time to move on. He refused to answer any additional questions about it. It'll be,"We know who it is, it will be handled internally." That's what his comment will be. Hopefully ESPN will move on after then. I really wish Daniel would just not have said anything. Bo just said he addressed it with the team. It is a he said he said. Said the identity of the player was "gray". Its not a done deal moot issue, time to move on.

  11. I don't think he said anything that is bulletin board material. He wasn't disrespectul to Nebraska at all.
  12. Not to point out the obvious, but it worked really well for you guys last time you hired someone fired by the Raiders . . .
  13. I honestly didn't mean it that way, but I can understand. I'm a true believer that almost all things in life run in cycles. NU has been in a down cycle, but it won't last forever.
  14. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN: It’s well-documented that Jeremy Maclin gave Oklahoma a verbal commitment before he became a Missouri Tiger. But Nebraska was in the running, too. "At the time, I was really considering them," Maclin said yesterday. Only there was a hang-up. Maclin said Nebraska’s former coaching staff was only interested on the condition that he join the Huskers as a grayshirt, meaning he could have enrolled part-time in 2006 but wouldn’t go on scholarship until 2007. "That wasn’t something I wanted to do," he said. "Nothing to downgrade their program, but Missouri was just a better place for me." Nebraska’s 2006 recruiting class had already included receivers Maurice Purify, Will Henry and Menelik Holt - a trio that’s combined for 103 receptions, all but 12 belonging to Purify, who completed his eligibility last season. Maclin said Nebraska’s coaches eventually offered him a chance to enroll in the summer like a regular recruit, but by then he’d lost interest. Meanwhile, in 18 career games, he’s caught 106 passes and earned consensus All-American honors last season - something a Nebraska receiver hasn’t done since Irving Fryar in 1983.
  15. I think the pressure on Chase is the biggest key. I would guess you will probably win the time of posession and I don't see that as all that important as Mizzou nearly always loses the time of posession battle because our O scores so quickly.
  16. Wasn't this basically what Gundy said after his rant last year?
  17. I think and hope MU will win next weekend, but I think this will be a different game than last year. First, it is in Lincoln. Enough said. Second, in the game I watched last night, NU never gave up which is different than the team I saw last year.
  18. Its kind of like holding parents accountable for what their kids do. You can be the best parent in the world, but sometimes your kids will just do bad things. A football program cannot be held accountable for the actions of their players. Knowlingly recruiting someone who has done something serious is one thing, but a situation like this completely different. I know fans have been critical of Osborne, but I truly do believe he is a very genuine man and even his players that had problems, I think he was always trying to do the best thing for the player and help them overcome their past.
  19. [ This is very sad, but should not be seen as a reflection on NU's program. It definatley should be reflected on the univeristy, because he no longer goes to school there I'm confused. You think it should reflect on NU? I was reply to the previous post about opposing fans who may claim it is about NU having criminals on their team . . .
  20. Already saw a comment about it on the Baylor board that I post on. On a side note, this really is sad. He had a TON of potential. One of the ones that fell through the cracks... Apparently the intial reports were that Collins had been shot and killed: http://www.action3news.com/Glo...y.asp?S=9062614 This is very sad, but should not be seen as a reflection on NU's program.
  21. i don't, but oddly enough that didn't stop mizzou fans from pointing at that one nutjob who threatened cosgrove last season and saying "ZOMG C0RNHOLERZ R ALL CRAZY!!!!1!!ROFL!!!" Point taken. I tend to agree with the point that all fan bases are relatively the same and that there are bad elements to all.
  22. That is very true for myself have never met a rude Mizzou fan, I just hear about them and read their stupid comments on message boards or youtube videos. I actually think that the game in Lincoln will be a very close fought out game. I have no doubt that both teams will be pretty fired up for the game. Should be fun to watch.
  23. Not too defend my less than appropriate Mizzou bretheren, but please don't judge us all by some nuts on a message board. Most MU fans I know are expecting a tough game in Lincoln. I think we have a better team than Nebraska, but it is obvious Pelini has your team improving and winning in Lincoln is always tough, especially if you are Missouri.
  24. Apparently Fred Phelps is going to be protesting at several NU football games this fall. I feel for you guys having to put up with him. He has protested at the funerals of military service men for years and even protested at Governor Mel Carnahan's funeral in 2000. He is a complete nut job and from Kansas of course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7_Z8ZQb1oM
