  1. I just came here to say I don't know anything, so it looks like I fit right in.
  2. if not for a errant field goal, nebraska WOULD have had three national championships. yah, tommie was bust. he was named MVP in three bowl games (even the one nebraska lost) and didn't win the heisman trophy. weak! I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
  3. Leon Jackson is another one that comes to mind...
  4. A lot of signs point to improper technique on the Jammer machines. Once they ditched those machines, the problem went away. It's a shame how many athletes we lost to it. Back on topic, it seems really unfair to classify Lucky as overrated. Overhyped? Perhaps. But hype is usually independent of the players themselves and is conferred by outside sources (typically by people like us). Being overrated is a direct function of performance (or lack thereof) on the field. Lucky wasn't our featured back until last year, and once he assumed that role, he produced. An earlier poster pointed out his production of more than 1,800 yards from scrimmage and 65+ receptions. He's a weapon, for sure. It's not his fault the coaches insisted on shuffling him in and out of the game every 3 plays.
  5. I believe he was one of the first. Another that never recovered from the same injury was Lanny Hopkins. He had so much promise. At that time I was wondering what the heck the strength staff was doing to those guys. It's called "athletic pubalgia", and we had a TON of guys suffer from it in the late 90s and early 00s.
  6. When's the last time we all paid this much attention to an 18 year old whom we weren't trying to sleep with? (And who wasn't a girl.)
