Bo Pelini's terrible defense at LSU: Rush Defense: 4th in the nation Pass Defense: 6th in the nation Total Defense: 2nd in the nation Scoring Defense: 10th in the nation And all this with the fact that LSU's opponents have been given many short yardage situations to work with and put up points. Kevin Cosgrove's terrible defense at NU: Rush Defense: 118th in the nation Pass Defense: 74th in the nation Total Defense: 112th in the nation Scoring Defense: 106th in the nation Yeah I can see why we'd think Bo Pelini is not a good defensive coordinator. Not to mention he's been to Nebraska, he'd embrace the Blackshirt Tradition, and light a fire under these guys to perform well. Now all this being said I would still like to see Turner Gill come here before Pelini

Well we almost lost to Ball St. But that's not the point, we've got 100X the talent, facilities, budget, you name it, than Buffalo does. Turner Gill has taken an awful team that just joined division I-A into a conference leader. Whereas Bill Callahan has taken a national leader into a conference joke. To tell you the truth I'm not totally convinced we could even beat Buffalo, which is quite sad.

I would imagine we'll loose a lot of out-of-state recruits but really it depends on who we bring in as a head coach and how they go about recruiting, if they are able to bring them back. Also we have quite a bit of talent on this team already even if they come in a pull a 180 on the program and go back to a power running + option system we could still pull it off with the set of running backs we have and Lee at QB. Though I don't think they will bring back the old system, just saying the talent is there no matter what the new Head Coach decides to do.

That speaks volume's in my opinion. Yeah especially after taking quite a bit of flak last week for doing it, you think this time he'd come it in a damn jersey just to shut us up.

I think 808 posted that to show that Tom Osborne didn't show a whole lot of emotion on the sidelines either. But I'm going to agree with you I'd just love a fiery coach who would get really into the games, but guess we'll have to wait until next year

Well all the people who try and say it took TO 15 years to win a championship, it was actually 21 years was it not? But, I'd also like to point out that during his entire 25 year career he only played 3 games where he wasn't rated in the top 25 in the country, that's 3 GAMES where he wasn't rated. He was rated at the beginning and ending of every single season and 17 of the 25 years he was rated in the top 10. And as far as hiring Solich goes, you can't honestly tell me that Callahan is better, had Solich been given a chance who knows what could have happened, we went 10-3 in his last season and maybe would have progressed even further with the next season. Oh and one last thing I'd like to throw in, Bill Callahan and Staff aren't just playing for the Husker Career anymore (as that is most likely over) they are playing for future careers. What I mean is, if Bill Callahan can turn this program around and win out through all this adversity, even if we fire him, he should be able to get a job next year because of this turnaround mid-season. But if they continue to play the way they have and this team goes 4-8 he's going to be hard pressed to find a decent job, maybe even any job next year and years to come.

Lol look at this fantastic news conference: All i've seen is people playing with cameras, video cameras, and audio equipment, and lots of people talking in the background. LOL

The fans wanted changes, most the boosters wanted changes, and apparently Steve Pederson had issues dealing with other people. As his own words said, 99% of the people are elated about this, so we shouldn't have done it because there is 1% opposed to it? To me his comments just seem classless and he is ruining his own name not the University's.

Yeah I would agree with everyone here this board is top notch. I have been reading almost everything posted for the past couple months and have just registered so I can join in the posting. And about the crashes yesterday, that was hilarious how many people there were, had 200+ people in 1 topic LOL Anyways great board, keep up the good work, and you'll see me start posting stuff now.
