I seriously think that this, and all of IBR's predictions, should be archived in preparation for the upcoming attorney general's investigation. Apparently someone knew what Osborne was going to do even before Peterson was fired. Immensely interesting, don't you think, Husker fans? No, I could care less if somebody knew something before Pedey was fired. All I care about is the end result. I don't have enough time to worry about conspiracies. I still believe that we landed on the moon.

Are you watching the game? The perfect D was called, the guy just didn't make the play. Zone blitz, d-end drops right into the path of the receiver, ball goes off of d-ends hands and into the receivers hands, touchdown. I don't think that can be blamed on the coordinator. I'm not saying that some things this entire season can't, just not this particular play. I personally believe he has done a great job this year when you look at the injuries they have had.

I'm not dissing Turner, but I can't see him being the next big thing when Kelly hasn't been hired by a big time school and he has been successful for far longer. I think Turner would be further towards being a HC of a big time program sooner if he were to become a coordinator at a big time program that is successful. I definitely don't think that 2 or 3 years at Buffalo will do it. I would be very excited to see Turner come back to the Huskers in some capacity.

Don't care. He has some of the best talent as well to work with. He should have done better. His defense should have done better, been perfect. Cause that's what expected at Nebraska. LSU probably has one of the most talented defenses in the nation. They probably have two D-linemen who will go in the first round and about ten guys who will play in the NFL at some point from what I've read. Bo should have been able to get more production out of them this year. I'm not saying that I'm opposed to Bo as the next NU coach, but I do have my concerns. They lost one of their starting d-tackles at the beginning of the season and Glenn Dorsey hasn't been playing much the last couple of games(I remember seeing him in the last couple of overtimes this last game but not much before that), I think Dorsey will be the #1 pick in the draft and the other guy will go in the first round. I can't imagine how bad our defense would have been last year had we lost our best 2 d-lineman . I actually think their D has put up some impressive numbers considering the injuries they have had. I wouldn't say that I am quite at a bogasm level in excitement for Bo but I would definitely be happy with that hire. As soon as a week ago I wasn't excited at all about Turner but that has changed and I definitely would be excited about him being hired as well. As other people point out, I would be at one gun salute excitement level if we got both.

please don't ever ever compare lucky to bush, compare lucky to cody glenn or other inefficient non game breaking backs. Are you serious? I don't see where I compared him to Bush, I stated that we should use him in the same fashion that USC used Bush. I wouldn't necessarily say that Marlon couldn't do some of the same things that Reggie did if he was surrounded with that much talent, however I don't think he is as talented as Reggie is. By the way your posts so far are not going to make you a popular member of the forum. If you are going to state your opinions you should atleast give some insight as to why, not throw blanket statements around.

I agree completely about Purify not getting the ball enough or even being on the field enough for that matter. The rumor that I have heard is that he doesn't know the playbook that well. To me this shouldn't matter, he should be on the field until he is tired, we should run whatever plays he does know, it's not like our playcalling has been that varied anyway. I would say that Purify is our best player but he isn't being used nearly enough. If you look at other teams that have good receivers, they are on the field almost always. It is not a mystery when we are running, Erickson is on the field everytime, I'm sure the other teams have noticed this by now, it's been this way for several years.

I have to say that I'm a little confused to hear someone say that Lucky is not a gamebreaker. I think he is one of the few players on the team that could take it to the house from anywhere on the field. The only other guy that gets regular playing time that can do this is Hardy. I know Sean Hill did score from 70+ yards but I don't think that is the same, although he didn't get caught from behind. I think we should use Lucky like USC used Bush, get him into the open field and let him work. I don't think Bush was or is a great running back in a typical sense, I think the same about Lucky. I do like what Lucky brings to the table but I don't think we are using him to his full potential. Helu may be able to do this once he gets a little more confidence. I love the way Castille runs the ball (when he holds onto it)but he won't be a back that scores on long runs regularly, I'm not sure he has the speed. Of coure, I have been wrong once before, I think.

If he wanted to start a fight with me, all I'd have to do is grab a football and run right at him. I belong to probably about ten forums of various types, comic relief is probably the part that I enjoy most and this line may be the funniest I have had the pleasure to read. Very, very good. Sometimes I wonder if my wife thinks that I hear voices, I'm sitting at the computer and burst into laughter for no apparent reason.

How many teams would be chosen for this playoff? The teams for the playoff would still be chosen using the polls, you are still going to have a number of one loss or two loss teams(depending on how many teams & the season) that don't make it into the playoff. I don't see where the playoff system would be any better based on this, there is still going to be a number of upset teams/coaches/conferences. I don't think that the bowls will allow this to happen anyway, we all know that money talks and BS walks. Probably the only realistic solution is a +1 at the end of the bowl season.IMO
