  1. quite a harsh language for an old man! booing is simply a form of communication. I criticize by booing. I as a fan have the right to criticize. As someone else said in this thread whats the difference between booing and critizing here on this board?
  2. Then show your "support" for your team by not patronizing the game. Booing is classless at any level of any competition. People with this mindset are a shining example of the problems I have with our once great country. Dude booing to your NFL team, i can understand. Their payed millions of dollars a year to play good and win. College on the other hand, its kids playing, I mean you dont boo at kids. YOUR Quote: "Wow. Im so like ashamed by this team right now. I've lost faith in this game. I know we came back against missouri, but out Offense sucks." how can you talk like that, they are kids??
  3. NOTHING. Fans are fans. Nebraska fans might think they are better and might buy into the media hype that we are so great and can do no wrong. When it comes down to it we aren't any different than anybody else. We have been let down for too long and we are tired of losing the kind of games we lost on Saturday and it's showing. Nebraska fans = Humans = Human Nature= Often not nice The only true degree of separation between Nebraska fans and other college football fans are. We generally don't assault opposing fans. We aren't AS verbally abusive and visitors aren't afraid to come here. We have sold out memorial stadium 301 times showing immaculate loyalty. Some of us golf clap opponents win or lose at the end of home games.
  4. why do we have to be different? do we things just to be different or do we things because we believe they are the right things to do? It seems like whenever people put on their husker gear they also change their "this-is-me" behavior to "this-is-me-but-I-have-to-be-more-classy-now-because-Nebraska-fans-are-the-classiest-fans-in-the-world" behavior. Why does ist seem so important for a lot of people to have other fans and people believe that Nebraskan fans are the classiest? Maybe I'm not enough Nebraskan to understand
  5. Don't worry, I got your back. I'll start threads for Taylor Martinez or LaTravis Washington to start because Green is a bust. now would you please stop that gay talk, angryhuskers is afraid and admin please remove that dacing corn looks effing gay and while you are at it, I think the green one is got sexual thoughts while kicking look at the lustful tongue sticking out and this on reminds me of the village people, that is a no go
  6. The people who boo should give me their tickets to the games because I can never get any tickets no matter what. Kick their butts out and give me the tickets, at least 2 !!!!! Hey RedGix whatever happened to that: "will be pulling for good teams from now on like Florida, Alabama, Virginia Tech etc. They know how to win games. I won't root against the Huskers but I will never watch them again. As bad as they are, Husker tickets should sell for no more than 5 or 10 a ticket. Charging any more is a rip-off to watch that circus..." now on-topic whats so wrong about booing? players do something good they pose like superman, they wanna get clapped on the shoulder then they should be able to takes some booing. This ain't JV football
  7. Matter of fact, if we were 6-0 no one would be talking about his behavior. I like Bo, I like his attitude and I don't really care how he handles a press conference. And I also don't care if his on-field bahavior is appropriate or not in terms of representing the university or Nebraska or the fans. What I care about is whether or not his behavior has a negative impact on the game and I believe it does. Bo preaches discipline but is not able to contain himself from going off like a fire cracker whenever he dislikes a call. He is not very believable when he gets into an offensive linemans face after he commited a false start and tells him to get his effing act together. There was a pass interference call in the endzone, I think it was 5min left in the 4th quarter, TT up by 2 TDs at the Huskers 22 yard line and I even think it was the right call, but Bo just exploded and chased this one ref down and did some eskimo kissing. That was effing ridiculous. Sure he was pissed off about the whole game but that just made him look stupid. And it doesn't do any good. It's not like that the ref is going to crap his pants or starts thinking about the call "Man he screams like a mf, I must have been wrong!" He needs to get cooler
  8. man, I have no clue at all
  9. no sh#t i was wondering that too??
  10. actually he had three bad games so far, I count MU as bad even though he did throw 3 TD. And though his performances were heavily influenced by bad OL play, penalties, bad play calling ...he simply had three bad games. Maybe CG is able to do better under those circumstances. Maybe he'll play worse. But we won't know until ge is given a chance. And I say give him a shot! We won at Mizzou, I really don't care if he had a bad game, he got the team in the end zone 3 times in the 4th, he did not give up and that says a lot. Analyzing a game is a little more than looking at the result. Sure Lee pretty much won the game, but that should not cover the fact that he had three horrible quarters. Besides I didn't call for Green after the MU game, actually I think not too many people did. But if you look at Lee's perfomances against VT, MU and TT 10 out of 11 quarters were just bad. It's time to see if CG can play better. Besides not quitting is expected. If your team is down by 12 points with more than a quarter to go and you call it a game you should be kicked off the team i have nothing against Cody Green, but I see the same results if our O line does not step it up. It won't be as easy to give Cody a pass on rookie mistakes, when Lee is a rookie himself and is getting written off already. As far as getting kicked off the team for giving up, then the O line should be kicked off the team for their brilliant performance in the 4th qtr. I love having 4th and Goal from the 30 yrd line... If Green plays the whole game against ISU and NU loses, is that OK then? I didn't know the red button has been pushed... No, if we lose that would not be ok. But apparently Lee tried and failed. Sure OL play was also bad, didn't help Lee at all but maybe Cody can deal better with it. Who knows? Until we haven't given him the chance to prove we won't know. If he doesn't play better than Lee, well I guess then we are screwed
  11. I think Bo is complaining too much. Granted there were some calls to be pissed off about but I don't think getting in the face of a ref is doing any good. It's not that they crap their pants and favor the Huskers on the next questionable call. If I were a ref and Bo would yell in my face I would try to piss him off even more hoping he would choke on his gum. But seriously Bo preaches discipline but cannot contain himself from yelling at referees on every questionable call. And he is not just yelling sometimes it seems like he is gonna eat that ref.

  14. If it doesn't matter who is behind center than we might as well start Green because ...well it doesn't matter. If it does matter who is behind center than we might as well start Green because Lee just hasn't been very good. Now Green might not be the answer I know, the whole offense has to play better, but I believe it's worth a shot. If it's too early for Green we can switch back to Lee. You gotta try. Lee had his chances.
  15. Through all the nonsense in this thread, this is the one post that gets ignored, yet the only one that gets it right. No. This is not true. Those blue hairs are the same ones rifling through coupons at the pharmacy holding up the lines. "Oh, did you say $1.13? I have three pennies in my coin purse young man." This lady would have to sell her Ford Fairlane if she actually had to give the clerk $2 and just take the change. They have season tickets because they got them in the 40's and 50's, before someone made them throw $10k into a fund to get them. Those tickets will become available, when those people die, and younger folks will buy them (assuming they aren't willed to family members). But, since no one ever gives up their Husker season tickets, we will always be waiting for people to die, to get them. There will always be old folks who won't yell no matter the situation. Well, they will if you are standing in front of them. If you think that if they capped the age for people in Memorial Stadium at 55, and they couldn't get the same amount of revenue for the tickets, you're nuts! They should ask people if they would like to stand when they order tickets and have a number of sections without benches. Then there would be no complaining about standing or sitting. There would be a lot more room in those sections too. I know I'd rather be there. though I am German watching college is much more fun than soccer. Unfortunately though the atmosphere at college games i so linked up with the home teams play on the field. They don't play good it's silent. That's when in soccer stadiums the fans are trying to get their team back in the game by being loud. That picture is from a stadium that has about the same capacity as Lincoln, more than 85,000. That section is called "the wall" there are more than 25,000 people standing. Standind in that crowd, yelling, cheering, jumping up and down is just awesome. Of course what also quites down a stadium in football is the breaks between plays, injury breaks, TO and stuff you don't have that at soccer games. But what i wonder though, is the atmosphere at other football places so much different? So much more loud?
  16. yeah it is kinda weird. if I recall last year, I remember the offense being not so bad at all. I mean we moved the ball that's why we had big advantages in TOP in most games. Just think about the TT game, we kept it close because we had the ball for 40 minutes. It seems like that the problem ist not the offense itself rather than the people executing it. But I also have to admit I don't like the shotgun stuff. Expecially running out of it. What's the problem with running plays with the QB under center? I saw a bit of the Alabama-SC game and both teams did that quite often. But I guess Bama is only No. 1 because of their defense
  17. If we had won against VT we probably would have been in the top 10 maybe even top 5 going into saturdays game. Scary thought isn't it?
  18. What game were you watching? Ya we sucked and deserved to lose. The O needs serious help I've been on those threads talking about it. But the refs sucked too and it wasn't just the luck you talked about, repeated bad officiating in Tech's favor goes beyond bad luck. When the refs show unadulterated hypocrisy in how they call things that isn't just bad luck. If we had stopped making stupid mistakes (some penalties were in fact called correctly) and had some consistency on offense, we would have won the game no matter how bad the refs called the game. And think about it, would it make a difference if the refs had called all penalties correctly and we had lost 21-17? Or if we had won? Geez we'd probably be in or close to the top 10 and everybody would be talking NC.
  19. 1. no penalties 2. offensive production 3. win
  20. not really that bad. Come on guys get real, the Huskers are not a top tier programm right now but they are somewhere in between the top 25-30. Now, that might not be enough for you and actually it is not for me either but do you remember Nov. 3rd 2007? That day we gave up 76 points to Kansas, it was the nail to BC's coffin as HC. After the Pelini hire the general consensus was that it is going to take Bo a few YEARS to get the Huskers back on track, to win a Big XII title and probably even longer than that to win a NC. We are not really close to that yet, though there ist still a chance to win the north and even win the Big XII title, but that doesn't really matter IMO. But Bo and this team has come a long ways. Can you see this defense give up 76 points? Last year we gave up 62 to OK and 52 to MU. Can you see this defense give up 52 points to any team in this country? I can't. I cannot see it. They gave up 24 (-7 for Niles Paul) points to a high octane TT offense and only 285 yards I believe. Considering that they didn't get any help whatsoever from the offense, that's a pretty good effort. Sure the offense looked atrocious, so did they against any opponent of some quality. That needs to be worked on. I don't know if it is Watson or the lack of talent on lee's side or not enough discipline on the OL or all of it. BUT if you look at the whole team two years ago and know, they have come a long ways. And they will keep getting better, on both sides of the ball. Just give Bo the time you all agreed upon he would need to get this thing fixed. Don't be so impatient. It's not going to be bottom to top in two years. I know waiting is an a-hole but we have to go through this. And I am sure it is the right direction. With BC you knew it was not and we were waiting for him to get his ass out of town. Now we have to wait for Bo's work to yield fruits. In some areas it has already in other it has not so much. But it will. Trust Bo. And some of you need need to stopp being so suicidal. You win one game and people start talking 11-1 you lose one and they don't see the huskers ever win again. Get real. I'm always for citizing stuff that doesn' work, for critizing people that are in charge but don't get the job done. But it has to be done in moderation. This from hero-to-zero-within-a-couple-weeks-talk is just annoying
  21. This was also a very bad call on refs, not to call the IG on sheffield but they called it on Lee. Not saying that Lee's pass was not IG, but there was more of a reciever in the area of Lee's pass than with Sheffield's. lee's pass didn't go beyond the line of scrimmage, that's why it was IG
  22. yeah refs were almost as bad as our offense
  23. by the way 24-3 at half. saw that before today
  24. looks like the north favorites are playing up to their potential today not
  25. why can't you boo?? and all this "classless-talk" all the time. the team played like sh#t so they should be able to handle some booing.
