The Texas Tech loss also caused this mess in the Big 12 South. If we had beat Tech, then Texas would definitely be in the conference game. So indirectly, Nebraska ended up reeking havoc in South, and maybe even the National Title Picture. Way to go Huskers!

just came back to bite us in the butt. One interception in overtime cost us the Big 12 North title. Oh well, the Huskers had a great season and hopefully will get a bowl win. Gotta say I was going for the Jayhawks today. I love to see Chase Daniel lose. By the way, Kansas will probably be the dirtiest team that Chase ever played.

Doesn't look like it matters much now. Looks like we'll be all off to see the Gator Bowl (hopefully).

I think our employers are going to be a little suspicious when half of the state of Nebraska calls in that day. Most likely they will just expect it to happen.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Nebraska legislature passed a special bill that would give us all that day off for the bowl game. They should sneak that one in while they are in the special system to fix our "drop your teenager off" law.

While I hope that the Huskers end up going to the Gator or Alamo bowls, I am a little disappointed that the Sun Bowl seems to be the frontrunner. Not so much that it's a lower tier bowl, but that it's at noon on a Wednesday that I am assuming most people have to work on. Unfortunately, commerce will not stop for a football game, even here in Lincoln. Unless you DVR the game, the only audience that this game will reach will be people watching Sportcenter for the highlights of the game. I don't think this bowl helps Nebraska much as far as national exposure.

Is this a case of Chase Daniel trying to rub the loss in? This isn't the first time that Chase Daniel has insulted the team. Remember last year when he called Cosgrove's defense "high school"? This may have been true, but there was no need to disrespect the coaches after you put a beat down on them. This might be the same type of thing. Chase Daniel is also a whiner when things don't go his way. He cries when they lose, for example Oklahoma last year. Didn't he call them a dirty team last year too?

I'm still gonna have to say that I'm not the same guy. I think that guy lives in Austin, and I live in Lincoln. It's coincidence that we use the same name. Obviously I'm not just copying the guys name since I've had it a while before that story even happened. I promise you that I'm not smart enough to know how to cut and paste all that newspaper stuff like the other Darth Husker. However, I am smart enough not to do something that stupid. Anyway, as I am much more sober today, I still find it hard to believe that the offense played that bad against a Missouri defense that has been proven to be mediocre. Buffalo put up more points than we did. I don't want to take anything away from Turner Gill, but we have a lot more talent on our team than Buffalo does.

No, I've actually been using this name for a while. Not the same dude. Didn't know somebody else had it. Bo has to make some decisions on where this offense is going to go. This offense doesn't have an identity, it is using some concepts from an offense that Shawn Watson learned from Bill Callahan. I was one of the people that thought that Callahan had a chance if he fired Cosgrove. It's obvious that this offense is not what we thought it was. Lucky is a pretty good back and so is Helu. I hate to pass the blame but the offensive line is horrible. I thought Cotton is a good line coach. Callahan was supposed to be also. My head is about to explode from the shear magnitude of sucking at football.

That maybe Callahan was the brains behind the offense? Oh god I hope not. What the hell happened? Bo has some decisions to make. Lane Kiffen just got fired, maybe he needs a job. I hate to say it, another Raider head coach in charge of the offense, but what happened? This is not good. Pelini has some big boy decisions to make soon.

Don't get too excited about finally getting FSN HD here in Nebraska. Time Warner introduced it in Lincoln in early summer. I was excited to see that maybe we would finally get some more hd channels on top of the entire 15 that Time Warner Cable offers. It turns out that the only programing shown on this channel are Kansas City Royals games. The channel is off air the other 20 hours of the day and it only shows home games. What a let down. However, they do show usually one college football game per weekend in high definition but then after that it's back to the test pattern. Hopefully for Husker fans, the one game that they show will be the Texas Tech game. I'm sure 90% of the other markets in the country get this channel 24/7 but we in Lincoln are still stuck with horrible Time Warner Cable and our plethora of 15 high definition channels. I actually complained to Time Warner about this about a month ago. They told me that they have no more bandwidth and that it won't be possible to add more hd channels for a long time. Sorry to rant on the terrible quality of cable television in Lincoln, but I think a lot of people share my sentiments.

The defense gave up a couple of long drives and that's going to happen playing a good team like Virginia Tech. But we gave Tech very good field position on most of their scoring drives. They had some good kick returns and we gave them 9 points to start the game with a couple of mistakes that usually Nebraska doesn't make. I think the defense played okay considering they were on our side of the fifty for the beginning of most of Va Tech's drives. They contained Tyrod better than most teams would and they made him throw more than they wanted to. We did score 30 points on Virginia Tech which is a tough task. I'm still disappointed that we lost, but this team is getting better.

I read somewhere that Schmithead is the program director. He might have been on to get The Spread started after they fired that douche that was in love with Michigan or Notre Dame or whatever. I think he got everything running smoothly and handed the reigns over to Wilkerson. I thought I read that on the 1480 website.

Bo Pelini is also of legal age to drink where as the majority of his football team is not. These guys need to be real careful on getting these minor in possession tickets i.e. Nick Covey. They also need to be conscience of the fact that parties that have lots of college age kids being hosted at a minors' house can be a big problem for them. I've been to my fair share of college parties and I'm surprised that booze was the only thing found at Ben Martin's house. Players need to be aware of the legal dangers that can be present when hosting these parties. Bo Pelini also did not sexually assault a female at a downtown bar, i.e. Christiansen. The media scrutiny is too much for these guys to be screwing around at bars and getting in trouble. I don't think that LPD is too fond of giving these guys a break anymore. Heck, they might even be a little bias towards players now. Kids are going to get alcohol and drink it around here and I know that you can't stop that. They also have to know that if they are going to drink, that it might be a good idea to keep it a little more low key. Keeping them off of O street or even out of certain bars just might keep them from getting into as much trouble. I don't think that this is hypocritical for Bo to put his foot down, it's not like he's giving breathalyzer tests to his players every night. He can't however let his players run wild all over this town and take the chances that they have been. It's just like a parent trying to teach their kids about alcohol. You can't stop them from drinking if they have their minds set upon doing it. You can only educate them about the dangers of getting smashed and doing something stupid. By the way that picture is hilarious, Bo looks absolutely plowed.

pretty sure the 70 by Tech will be replaced today by Kansas' score. Is there a most points by the end of the third quarter record?
