  1. Is there an investigation? Who is conducting it?
  2. So members of Congress should only make comments on issues directly pertaining to their district? That's news to me. When did we pass that law?
  3. LINK This is the whole text. I don't see where she got a couple of questions she didn't like at a presser. She wants transparency on both sides of this - who's funding the mosque and who's funding opposition to the mosque. What's the problem? Please don't put me in a position of defending Nancy Pelosi. Much as I hate to admit it, I think she's right on this instance. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, but that does NOT mean I'm a supporter of Pelosi. Far from it.
  4. It's not just about sports. Why do people who are so hung up in their religion and/or beliefs feel the need to push them onto others? Believe whatever you want to believe and do whatever you want to do as long as it doesn't affect me, but don't start blowing your cultish smoke up my rear end. Some of these sheep who constantly try to suck others into their gig are pathetic. It's not much of a stretch to call organized religion a publicly accepted cult. Dammit!!! Did I miss The Annual God Squad Skeet Shoot and Non-believer Roundup again this year? No worries, the ride never stops. That works both ways, you know.
  5. It's not "preposterous," it's entirely logical. The contention is that there is no god. Therefore, all the harm done in the name of "god" is done by humans without any outside influence, ie, "god." Humanity is a closed system. We exist on this planet without any other sentient influence. Without any other sentient influence, all harms done by humans originate with humans. All "god" is is an excuse. All harms done in the name of "god" are human harms done by humans. Removing "god" from the equation doesn't mean less harms, it means different reasons. "God" is not harm. "God" is a tool, like guns are tools. You're claiming that without guns humans wouldn't kill each other. 10,000 years of swords and arrows beg to differ.
  6. Do you think it came to that? I would doubt it, but you never know. They're both very passionate guys. I think it would be hard not to know by now that Bo is the absolute dictator over everything football related, so I can't imagine Ek going berserk on any decision like this. It's not like he wouldn't see this coming if it was his guys that got everything shut down.
  7. The accident was in 1999. When did you claim your money?
  8. Doesn't surprise me one bit. You know that The Brass reads HuskerBoard. If they think info is leaking out that could only come from current or former players, that would explain this move. EDIT - read that "HuskerBoard and other, lesser-quality boards"
  9. I wouldn't bet against Lee at this point. Nothing we've heard from anyone says he's not doing well. Paul (or was it Kinnie?) was saying that Lee was rocketing the ball in camp. Unless he gets bit by the injury bug we've contracted, expect him to be the starter.
  10. Several reasons why this could have happened, from the alleged big brawl at practice yesterday to the alleged injuries, to some comments made by players to the press to all sorts of things. Oh yeah - it's not just the press that's shut out:
  11. Good for Pelosi. Discrimination should not go unpunished. If it turns out this isn't discriminatory all the better. But this is the job we're paying congress to do.
  12. We would need WAY more information to answer this question. Best answer with what you've said - Maybe. I take it you and your cousin had different attorneys? When did this happen?
  13. He's still dealing with recovery. He wasn't on the 105 to start camp. I think Bo said they're going to add him when camp ends.
  14. If nothing else, this ought to put the Taylor Martinez rumors to rest. He's still on the team, still a QB, apparently.
  15. The only time I went to Manhattan the entire stadium was Red, so I don't know.
  16. Then take it up with the Admins. This has been discussed in the past, and we've chosen to err on the side of caution.
  17. Are you sure that you are not thinking of "road" games at neutral sites? Maybe? I just have a recollection of thinking that it was odd seeing our home uniforms at someone else's field, and that it was because they wanted to wear a unique jersey, like Colorado wearing all black or something like that. It's not a solid memory, so I could be wrong.
  18. If you're talking about full patterns, then it's Ghost Rider. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to sip on my nice, steaming hot cup of joe...
  19. The answer to #1 is "maybe." And nobody here is going to take that chance. This board is not a forum for free speech any more than your workplace. AR Husker Fan has explained this on occasion, so maybe he'll chime in with the legalese on it, but this isn't a First Amendment issue.
  20. I just explained why this could cause problems.
