  1. They are talking about this very subject on right now funny enouph. They mentioned a BCS rule that only two teams from a conference can be represented in the BCS, they feel they will have to change that to more teams potentialy. Also, a-lot of talk that this will lead to some type of playoff since the BCS contract is up in 2015 (I believe that was the year mentioned). Obviously the conference tie ins will be rearranged.
  2. WHEN HAS AN INCOMPLETE PASS OUT OF BOUNDS EVER BEEN REVIEWED TO SEE HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD BE PUT ON THE CLOCK? It was a non-reviewable play but they did it for Texas since they (ran) the conference. They (were) the CEO/Chairman of the old big twelve!!!!! Never, only when it is Texas and they are not going to the BCS National Championship Game. Tom Osborne brought up this point at the Big 12 meeting in KC. Quote was something like, (I guess we need some new guidelines/rules on how we put time back on the clock for incomplete passes) I will look it up and edit this. I think the last straw was/were a couple things. All championship games to be in the state of Texas and not rotating them. All teams voting consistently with Texas and against NU. I think 11-1 was the common number on most votes involving Big 12 issues. How many people remember the 93 Orange Bowl against Florida State. It was 4th and long with a few secs left to play. Tommie Fraizer completes a pass to give the Huskers a 1st down and get in field goal range, but time had expired. The refs review the play and determine that 3 sec should be added on the clock. We kick a long field goal but we missed it. We lost the game 16 to 18, if we would of made that we would of won 3 mnc three years in a row and 4 of 5 years. The point is our Huskers got 3 sec added after the clock had expired and I heard no bitching about it. So please lets give this a rest. The reason were going to the Big 10 it is what is best for Nebraska. Even if we had beat Texas last year we are still gone. Here come those pesky FACTS again. You'll notice that all we will here now is crickets.
  3. I wonder if CU did what they did (be the 1st to go) to keep that very same thing from happenning. Maybe they had to get a jump on the TexA$$ schools to stave off being left out in the cold. Also, good luck in your knew conference. At least we will get to play at least one more if not two more times before we go our seperate ways.

  5. More like 4 flukes since, as I recall, the Clones won in football, twice in basketball and in wrestling against the Huskers last year. I think you took us in men's gymnastics though... Or was it eight flukes as in the eight seperate times you turned the ball over against our "pathetic" defense while your mighty defense forced, what, ZERO turnovers against ISU's second string QB who was starting his first college game ever? Meanwhile...with the ranking member of the Senate finance committee as a fan of ISU and who has mentioned taking away college football's tax exempt status if you piss him off enough and with a sitting president who likes Iowa because it gave him his first primary win and paved the way for him to ruin the country, ISU is money in the bank. Well, like I said in another thread, we will get a chance to redeem ourselves from that mess of a game before we ride off into the Big 10 sunset. So enjoy it for now until we meet in the Fall and all will/should be right with the world again.
  6. We love you Cy, but thankfully we will get a chance to redeem that score in your sig before we go off into the sunset.
  7. It's so interesting that the same two descriptive terms always follow a vast majority of that fan base. All in good fun Bro I for one am happy as H$LL to be joining you guys and the Big whatever we will be called.
  8. see!!!! this is the help we just don't get int he big 12 I live in Mi. (unfortunely) and I would have to say that scUM is definately the sCUm of the Big 10. U of M fans can't possibly be more arragant and still haven't gotten over not being able to play us back in 97. Of course according to their delusional thinking they would have won that game. We here in Husker Nation know better !!!
  9. Would that have been that one second added to the game, OOPS, I mean the last second of the game. I live in Mi. and have always hated not being able to see the Huskers as often as I like. Now my family is going to be moving back to the great state of Nebraska and the Huskers are moving into the Big 10 ! I might even have to come up with a new name for myself. And yes, I have thought the Big 10 was over rated for some time so how ironic is this.
  10. Here is the Tunnel Walk from last years K-State game. Look out Big 10, HERE WE COME!!!
  11. IO! I married a Husker. I know all about 'em! That's right, WE ROCK!!! All in good fun, most of us are geeked as H$LL about joining the Big 10+1+?!!!
  12. Welcome!!! And tell your son that is awesome .
  13. Well, it depends on were you sit. We have our share of the "sit down I am trying to watch the game crowd" as well. I'll say this though, we have the most kick A$$ entrance in all of college football if you ask me. Look up the Husker Tunnel Walks on Youtube and you will see what I am talking about. By the way, hope this all rings true, really looking forward to playing in the Big 10+1+? !!! Can't wait to get the chant going against some Big 10 competition.
  14. If that doesn't tell you that we're moving to the Big 10, nothing will. Anyone who's listened to Tom Osborne over the past 40 years knows how parsimonious he is with his statements. This ranks right up there with the biggest insinuations Osborne has ever given on anything. He's not talking about staying in the Big XII for 75 to 100 years, because as dysfunctional as this conference is, it will not last that long, period. The Big 10 has already lasted 100 years and looks destined to last another. I see only one way to read that statement, and it means we're going to the Big 10. Probably very soon. AMEN!!! I have already seen several comments about this on ESPN 2/ESPNU and Good Morning America just this morning, it's going to happen. So, if the PAC10 does (stupidly) take TexA$$ and the rest of the Big 12 south, do we start a countdown to their demise. I mean, TexA$$ track record isn't that good in these situations.
  15. Good grief!!! Can't Government actually find something constructive to do. I got an idea, sue TexA$$ U for being a bunch of jerks and causing this whole mess.
  16. Didn't Osborne warn everyone years ago that bringing in Texas was a mistake/cancer. This should be a warning to any conference thinking of picking them up (PAC10 are you listening?). They are not worth it, trust us. Maybe they will become independent, no one in there right mind should bring them into their conference. Let's see, that makes potentially two conferences they have killed, the SWC and now probably the Big 8/12.
  17. Thanks, that does make sense. It gives us few years to realy stick it to TexA$$ on the field and shove their noses in the dirt/carpet before we go.
  18. Ok, let's say we do jump ship and move to the Big 10 (or what ever it will be called after all of this is sorted out). How quickly do we start playing in the Big 10, how does this effect our schedule over the next few years? For what it's worth, I hope we do, since I live in Mi. it would be GREAT to see the Huskers over here on a regular basis.
  19. by this rule AFTER the eagles got screwed their 1second to put another FG up. So no, texas would of lost in the name of getting the play reviewed and the rules verified. but instead since texas was ranked higher we are taking one for the team. NO.....it said if the team who had the ball when clock "expired" was losing, they'd get an extra play. So since Texas was losing, they'd get the play. Also, those who've pointed out we are a grudge holding fanbase are correct; and to whomever asked why the '82 Penn St game or '93 FSU game always gets brought up, it's because those were LOSSES and it's easier to focus on and REMEMBER the negatives. Those are games we SHOULD have WON. That's all...(Bo also said he probably will never get over the Big XII CCG loss) Well, I gues Bo does belong with us grudge holding fans!!! Also, you quoted me earlier about the official clock on the field comment, no need to get your panties all in a bunch about it. The topic had been discussed at great length before and I just brought it up agian, that many thought the clock used on TV looked different, that's all. When you watch a team play it's guts out and lose a close one it is hard to get over it, especially when a bad call or two may have effected the outcome. Also, the 82 Penn St. game and the 94 Orange Bowl are different in that those were clearly bad calls, but we didn't have instant replay back then to correct them. Not quite the same as what happened in this years Big 12 title game.
  20. Except for the fact the most of us are in agreement, that the clock shown on TV was NOT the official game clock but something else (scoreboard one maybe?). Many at the game said the OFFICIAL clock on the field counted to ZERO before the ball hit the ground. So, we will never know if they really deserved that extra play or not, the whole thing is still VERY fishy.
  21. Terrible throw, come on OU D, hold them to a field goal.
  22. Holy Cow, that was deja vu all over again. I hope OU roles over Stanford.
  23. Well, after the 07 season and we hired Bo, we knew he would head the Huskers in the right direction. Yet, I don't think many if any of us thought we would see the turn around we have had, happen this fast. Who would have thought that in Bo's third season we would have a VERY legitimate shot at a MNC. To quote what Bo said tonight after the game, " the Huskers are back and here to stay." TO has to be proud after what we all saw tonight.
