  1. I think it is possible because of the point gap difference between #1 and #2 over #4 and so forth. If the SEC Title game is tight as hell I think it is very possible that the computers could still create the rematch something that supposedly humans cannot overcome. The humans can easily overcome by simply voting down the loser farther than they normally would be. Fair? No, but then again, neither is a NC title rematch of the SEC championship game. And before you say it, yeah, they could easily vote them down far enough to manage it. It only takes a significant group thinking, "f#*k this, I'm not going to let them rematch in the title game...loser to #5" or whatever it would take. I agree with you that the human voters could keep it from happening but knowing the dry humping the sports media has for SEC football I am not sure anyone could rely on them to do it. I also do agree that Cincinatti will leapfrog TCU if they win te Big East.
  2. Texas fans are no more arrogant then any other prominent college football fanbase.....

  4. Agreed, I have been syaing this for a few days now. More likely then not the SEC title game will be a slugfest between two very good teams. Especially if Alabama beats Florida in a close game I think Florida only falls to #3 in the BCS which if coupled with a Texas loss would still put Florida back in the BCS title with a rematch against Alabama. I think TCU needs a Texas loss, the loser of the SEC title game to lose big and a Cincinattie loss to ensure a BCS title appearance for TCU, and even then they will probably take Notre Dame ahead of TCU
  5. winner, no one else should even attempt to compete on that one.......
  6. This is an entertaining thread, some of you should go back and read the CU game thread from last year when our DB laid out your receiver right before the half and the comments about the CU DB, we all have varying views on dirty play especially when it comes to these kids wearing the colors we love.
  7. After watching Mangino fudge up the end of the game I feel like you and I are now kindred spirits...lol
  8. Hell yeah I am happy he is leaving but if he had worn black and gold for the last 4 years and did for my team that he did for Florida I would have cried like a baby yesterday as well.
  9. I don't see TCU getting to go though with a Nebraska win, I am not sure that the loser of the SEC title game will drop enough points but I could be wrong, the difference right now is 1/10th of a point which is pretty significant.
  10. Didn't we discuss the idea that CU couldn't afford to buy Hawkins out AND hire a new coach over in the Big12 section? I think I argued that Hawkins would be back because CU is so deep in the hole financially. When the Chancellor came out and said he supported Hawkins and should be given another year that sort of sealed the deal. Sure money contributed, but the buyout money was in place through private donors. I'm sure you know the ins and outs of CU football far better than I do . . . but what else do you think could motivate keeping Hawkins another year besides not being able to afford otherwise? Every aspect of the program looks terrible . . . except the players have been well behaved. What's your insight? This last statement, the University as was I was embarrassed by Gary Barnett and Hawkins doesn't put up with any crap from his players or the students. For example it has now been 3 days since the game and the only complaint is from my forum stalker about the Colorado marching band playing in their own stadium, wow, how sh**ty of us, bring back the piss bombs....lol You know Beachbuffs...you are nice to have around and you make it hard not to like Colorado a little bit haha. But I have to say I love the way they are handling this Hawkins situation. They said they would give him 5 years and that is what they are doing...shows a lot of integrity by that program I think. Now they could be doing it cause they can't afford it, but I am going with they are showing integrity because I really think that is why he is staying for one more year. Bohn may have also put out some feelers for people he wanted and maybe he was turned down by them as well.

  12. If you go back to those poll numbers it all makes sense, Nebraska points to OU as their rival but not reciprocated, so Nebraska plays one of its best games of the year agains the Sooners and wins. Texas A&M points to Texas as their rivals and yet they are regarded as a red headed stepchild, the result was Texas was pushed to the end. Colorado points to Nebraska as their rival but not really reciprocated so Colorado kept the heat on Nebraska for most of the game. Rivalry games even if they are one sided are very unpredictable.

  14. How did Cody Hawkins get overlooked for Offensive Big XII player of the year? I bet Colorado fans were offended everytime he came in. Congrats SUH well deserved. I was dissapointed he wasn't in yesterday I think he would have won it for us
  15. I was excited that ABC switched to it after the Miami game, it seemed like most games today were boring....
  16. Please go join a real conference. Thanks! Be glad it's not the Big 12 North!! No doubt, it wouldn't have surprised me if Air Force would have been able to compete for the North title.
  17. No reason to think that Ingram will have a great game against Florida either he may get some yards but it will be difficult to have a Heisman like game next week against that team speed. This may give your boy at least an invite but I am thinking it is comming down to McCoy/Tebow with the winner going to whoever plays the best next Saturday.
  18. If Texas loses and Alabama wins Florida would have to drop by almost 1/10 a point. If the SEC title game is close which I think it will be I am not sure that the loser will drop by that much. Florida .966 Alabama .961 Texas .926 TCU .870
  19. I am not sure that will help you a one loss SEC team may still have enough BCS points to maintain the 2nd spot.
  20. Too bad, I think they could add the Cotton as a BCS Bowl and put the Mountain West as an auto tie in.
  21. Look at the bright side, the last time Watson was calling plays in a Big 12 title game against Texas he won.
  22. ESPN is reporting Steve Kragthorpe is out at Louisville
  23. I thought he tried to pull up at the last second when I watched it, he was making the beeline and then he knew it was going to be late and he attempted to lighten the blow but it was too late.
