  1. After reading this I kinda feel safe saying I'd probably root for Texas. They have a good solid program down there and will for a lot of years to come.
  2. I think you also have to consider that not only was it his sophmore year, but it was also last fall. If he attended camps and they thought he was worth an early offer then maybe he has spent some time working on his form and possibly gained some more strength since then.
  3. I just read on the article comments that they are both already 6'2"....wow
  4. thats pretty cool actually, especially the "Athletically, they're ready," I cant imagine how they could be that good already.
  5. he still has plenty of time to develop though especially considering he probably hasn't seen much competition yet.
  6. http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/vie...357&sport=2 One recruit I really hope we get, its a rarity to get someone of his size in Nebraska and we need to get him to Lincoln and keep him away from Creighton and the other D1 schools starting to see him.
  7. im feelin a NCAA Tournament appearance in the next couple years
  8. He has a good Big 12 sized frame too and looks pretty tough
  9. I was following some threads on another board around the time we were recruiting Giles hard and they had mobile. Check this out on mobile if you want to see a good example: http://www.volnation.com/forum/ Whenever someone posted it via mobile it would be italicized at the bottom saying something about it being posted via volnation mobile. I thought it was pretty cool
  10. Thank you. My step grandpa recently typed a 6 page paper on all of his close encounters while serving in Vietnam, everything is so emotional and I don't understand how anybody wouldn't be able to respect what they are doing in a positive way.
  11. I'll second that.... Braskypants I'm personally inviting you to the woodshed! P.S. You need to retake 3rd grade English. NOT IN THIS FORUM! I'm not trying to get into trouble but he does kind of have a point. How many times does he have to ask us why ticket selling would be kept so quite before he realizes he meant to say quiet? lol I believe The AD and HC before I would believe any random forum guy.
  12. The N on the helmet hurts my eyes...lol but thats pretty cool stuff still
  13. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,158584 3. Lawrence Phillips, No. 6 overall, 1996. After stellar rookie and sophomore years in which he averaged 3.3 and 3.4 yards per carry, respectively (had Phillips been able to stick with football and progress at the same rate, he'd be getting ready to average 4.6 yards per carry this season!) Phillips bounced around to a couple of other NFL teams, NFL Europe, Arena Football and the Canadian League. His career ended when two CFL teams cut him because he was kind of a jerk. What's he doing these days? A 10-year stretch in California state prison. I'll let Wikipedia sum up his post-football criminal career: On August 21, 2005, Phillips was arrested for assault after allegedly driving a car into three teenagers, following a dispute with the teens during a pick-up football game in Los Angeles, California. At the time of the arrest, Phillips was wanted by the San Diego, California, police in connection with two alleged domestic abuse incidents involving a former girlfriend, who claimed that Phillips choked her to the point of unconsciousness during one of the incidents. In addition, the Los Angeles Police Department was seeking Phillips in connection with yet another, separate domestic abuse allegation that had occurred previously in Los Angeles. In March, 2006, the Associated Press reported that Phillips had been ordered to stand trial on felony assault with a deadly weapon charges stemming from the August 21, 2005, incident. The assigned judge dismissed two counts of child abuse and one count of leaving the scene of an accident, but continued the trial on the more serious charges. On October 10, 2006, Phillips was found guilty of seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon. On October 3, 2008, Phillips was sentenced to 10 years in a California state prison.
  14. Thanks, really appreciate it!
  15. You can disagree with my assessment, we're not living in an Obamanazi police state just yet...but I horribly digress. I just don't think Marve is needed and the performances of the QB's at the spring game reinforced my opinion. If you think we need Marve then that's fine. And for the record, if Bo offers Marve a scholly and he accepts it-then so be it. Oh I figured you might try to stop him
  16. I would take a Blackshirts one with our Defensive Line or at least just Suh and Turner if you have time.
  17. lol kinda surprising you don't think the new jucos will have much impact.
  18. Just saw the Rivals article (without subscription). What year and stuff is this guy, anybody seen him practice?
  19. i could be interested if anybody backs out, what was face value by the way?
  20. I trust whatever decision Oz and Bo make, whether its as harsh as being kicked off or as light as just being suspended for the spring. I could see it going either way and I'm sure they will make the right decision as they know more information on the situation than us.
  21. just because hes stupid and drinks a lot doesn't mean he needs to be kept in a cell for the rest of his life
  22. I had those same problems when it came to nba live on ps2 back in the day, whenever I actually got someone who wasnt exploiting glitches and we were playing an even game, they would always quit and I rarely got any wins.
