Honestly I was pissed at Cotton. That all changed once I saw the video of course. I had no idea. So was I. I figured someone was grabbing at his leg/ankle because he limped afterward. All I know is if that's me that happened to, those kicks wouldn't have been the end of it.

It's just like when he got pissed at Legate against ISU. He was mad about the penalty. He didn't realize our players were being physically assaulted after the play was over.

It not only put them in field goal range, it extended the drive, for crying out loud. That was a 3rd and 11 or so. They were done. Kaput. Driving deep, but coming up empty. Giving the ball back to our offense with 4 minutes and change, I believe it was. There is something mentally different when you are playing to win as opposed to playing to tie. If A&M turned the ball over at that point, the game had set up very cleanly for Nebraska to drive for a game winner. Yep, nailed it. It would have been 4th and 8 (instead of 11) if I remember it correctly from just inside the 50 on our side of the field, obvious punting situation. Instead, the call moved them down to between our 30 and 35 and gave them a 1st down.

It's a shame he didn't make solid contact.

You could also argue that the passing offenses that Nebraska has played have been largely unimpressive outside of Mizzou and OSU. Idaho is the #6 passing offense in the country. Ok, so 3 of 10? I'm not saying NU doesn't have a good D, quite the opposite actually as I think you guys are the best defensive unit we'll see this season. I just think this is a game where it's tough to compare stats because of how these two teams have played this season. Nebraska has been very up-and-down inconsistent and A&M is a totally different team the last 3 games than the first 7. So they've been good in 3 of 10? It should be a good game.
