  1. You better stop. Bo allowed a player that pleaded guilty to assault on a police officer to stay on the team. I'm embarrassed about it but this crap does happen elsewhere. Something about throwing stones, you want to talk about desperate coaches and playing criminals? Really? This will get worked out and I would imagine some suspensions from both sides, hopefully for the ISU game, they just had 3 guys kicked off the team for drug charges.
  2. basketball player is in the hospital. i guess we are finally becoming an elite school. I'd say you're already there in Basketball, just a guess. If I were you as a KU fan I'd be pissed, this is embarrassing. Hope there isn't a terrible fallout for basketball. I'm a little embarrassed. Hopefully it was a backup. Over a girl. Hm. If it was briscoe I am going to be done cheering for that kid. The rumor I hear is that it was Anthony Davis.

  4. you know knapplc. you would have made a good KU football fan. to bad you chose the dark side.
  5. Thats great company. I think Watson is a brilliant coach that was just over shadowed by the ignorance of callahan. I was very surprised he didn't become a HC after last season. I am curious to which job he is looking at. I do not know what college he went to but I wonder if he's waiting on the aTm job, it will probably open up after this year.
  6. "I'm just doing this to make money for school."
  7. I think you're mistaking hatred for jealousy. i have to admit, you could be right. Least i'm not a moo fan, they can't claim any national championships in anything. Sup with that Fro?
  8. I know we've probably discussed this, but I still don't understand some people's desire to beat Missouri so badly. They are just another conference team that we beat up on for decades who have had the upper hand on us lately. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Nebraska beat them, but right now I see them as no more a threat to us than Texas Tech, Kansas, or even Colorado. We're Nebraska. Let's set our sights high and focus on beating up on Virginia Tech and Oklahoma (in addition to the other teams on our schedule!) This is why we hate you. Signed, Rest of B12 North.
  9. it's about nebraska. letting you know you have no chance of wining down there now.
  10. wow. that's going to ruin my whole day. scary stuff there.
  11. i think the nebraska line should go with the reverse mohawk
  12. i wouldn't do THAT to my daughter. i hope you don't wear those. :-)
  13. Not trying to be a debbie down here, but even the previous staff managed to get us into the B12 Championship game. While this is a good step, it really means very little. It will mean something when we actually have a legitimate shot at winning the Big 12. Can anyone help pump enough into me to make me feel like we have a legitimate shot at beating Texas or OU this year? Actually, is there anyone out there that believe any North team has a legitimate shot this year at beating OU or Texas? Scientists say with the increased warming of the atmosphere, sea levels are sure to rise, eventually swamping and them submerging Texas and Oklahoma. As a matter of fact, all teams in the South and a few in the North (Kansas and K-State) are located on the floodplain of the Great Nebraska Sea within perhaps a few short years, will find their respective colleges under 30 feet of sea water. Only Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa State and Missouri are safe from this deluge...but MU will probably go in the next big earthquake. There you go...hope for the future and a shot at ocean front property besides! Think how well that will go over with recruits! Course all this depends on whether Al Gore and his cabaal of Global Warming whacko priests are correct... well that just sucks.
  14. oh no, she is set in her ways. she likes the huskers and jayhawks. I'm working a little harder on my son though. that's great! Another Husker fan! oh that would be horrible. but it would be my luck as my family are KSU and MU fans. Traitors.
  15. your mistaken if you think there will be more red in the stands than Blue. very mistaken. that hasn't happened since about 2003 or 2001
  16. for 6 years i've been trying to get her to pick sides. i prefer she goes all KU but then she would be cheering for the huskers. She likes the idea, i just don't know if it will look good. I do like the front back idea. thought about a husker tat on one cheek and jayhawk on the other.

  18. Why do I see Kansas fans keep saying things like, "You're not the Nebraska of the 90's"? Correct - we are not the Nebraska of the 90's - it's absurd to even assume we're not aware of that, but please realize we're also not Nebraska under Callahan either now. That seems to be what many of you can't get past. Recent history in your stadium means very little right now, other than a few handful of leftover players that played in one or both of those two games Callahan coached in Lawrence, who were taught to do things differently, by different people, than they are now. In much the same way, you would not compare the Jayhawks under Allen to the Jayhawks under Mangino. Would you? Did Mangino improve KU's program after Allen left? Damn straight, he did. Aren't the Jayhawks playing at the highest level they ever have in recent memory? Damn straight, they are. Do you think that can only be unique to Kansas where a bad coach is replaced with a better one and gets the team playing better than before? You're kidding yourself if you think only Kansas can pull that off. You hired a good coach in Mangino, and he knows how the college game must be played and the effort that must be given to achieve goals. But, guess what - we hired such a man, too. PS. I'm sorry if our defense featuring several walk-ons and a converted linebacker gave up too many yards to the Jayhawks last year. We promise to do better next time. i think my fellow hawks saying that is because that's really all we have. We can't throw championships in your face so they go with the "it ain't the 90's". I do think Bo is a good coach and has you guys pointed in the right direction. You must understand that a ton of my fellow fans do not believe that Bo is a good coach and that last year was just another 2006. Our main point is that Callahan was the worst coach the huskers have ever had but you guys still weren't horrible except for 2007. Didn't Callahan take you to the B12CG in 2006? As KU fans we just realize it wasn't as bad as you guys think during Callahan, it obviously seems that way to you guys though. Our bball fans would feel the same way if we fell to 5-6 best team in the B12 for a few years or didn't make the NCAA's. We would be calling for the head of that coach. I also think since most KU fans don't live in this state they do not understand what callahan truly was doing off the field, taking down the pictures of huskers, destroying the blackshirt tradition, not allowing formers players on the field. In truth we wish you would have given callahan a few more years to keep dragging you down.
  19. As you know i live in nebraska and my wife's family is all husker. My daughter who is 6 is a jayhawk and husker fan. I am going to be taking her to the KU/UNL bball game this year, her first to a major event. I am thinking of taking a husker and jayhawk windsuite and cutting them in half and sewing them back together, 1/2 KU 1/2 huskers. Do you think this is too much or would you guys get a kick out of it?
  20. i think deep down 90% of both sides feel almost the same way, obviously i believe the jayhawks can win that game.
  21. i guess i could pull the old, Sharp with broken ribs, meyer injured, reesing injured but still scored against your D defense.
  22. Our two best OL will be lining up against Suh. They got way better as the season went on last year and it showed in our running game. Over the final 7 games sharp was averaging 5 yrds a carry. Hawkinson is going to be a really good LT from what they are saying. Don't you guys have a pretty young OL this year? Let's say you hold KU to 35 again this year. With what you are missing on O how do you score more than that? Great points Jayhawker, but they don't want to hear that. They don't want to hear that even though Reesing was running for his life against them last year, he still threw for 304 yds and 3 TD's. So with that said, one can only assume that KU will score at least 35-40 points on Nebraska. How can Nebraska top that with a new QB and little experience at receiver? You can't run the ball everytime and expect to score 40 plus. You're not the Nebraska of the 90's. i think they realize it's not the nebraska of the 90's. Their right side of their OL will be their weekness and with the improvement of KU's DL, they were good against the run last year, we should be able to keep them from scoring on every series. My prediction 42 - 24 KU. From reports I've seen it appears KU's OL will be a bigger weakness. Plus replacing all your LBs, a still suspect secondary and switching defensive formations. Gives me the conclusion that our Huskers will return to the the Big-XII championship game. the reports i've seen and linked says the OL will not be as bad as last years. Your replacing your QB, and your top WR's plus your entire right side of your OL. You are losing 14 tds from your O. The D switch is going to help out our weakness at LB and the LB's this year are bigger and faster than the three we lost. Apparently you have never heard of Stuckey? With your suspect LB's and DB's I come to the conclusion that KU will play in it's first B12 title game. And that post is what I consider to be "drunk on Kool-Aid" response. Yeah I've heard of Stuckey, but who else have you got?................Anybody?................... But I digress, we'll just have to wait for that Saturday in November to see what's what. and how is that drunk on kool-aid? you ignoring the problems the huskers have would be kool-aid drinking. to answer your ? One player who didn’t have many problems was safety Darrell Stuckey, an All-Big 12 performer who was named to the Lott Trophy Watch List. A senior, Stuckey is hoping for help from fellow safety Phillip Strozier, who started the final six games last season. Senior cornerback Justin Thornton is back after missing last year’s Insight Bowl for disciplinary reasons. A former safety, Thornton is a big-play defender with good size (6'1", 213). He has seven career interceptions. Former receiver Daymond Patterson is a speedster who was moved to cornerback midway through his true freshman season in 2008. Look for Anthony Davis and Lubbock Smith, who attended tradition-rich Carter High School in Dallas, to enter the season as backups.
