What a joke. How is just making a bowl game a moral victory any different than what Callahan is trying to do this season? Saban was 10-2 in his last season at MSU in 1999 and beat Spurrier in the Citrus Bowl and the Spartans let him go. And that "black coach who couldn't win" is Bobby Williams. Odd OU use to be a huge game, even with solich we had a chance to win games... Now that we are stuck with Callahan and his band of merry retards no one really cares... THis is mostly due to the past preformance by Nebraska and logic tells ya that Nebraska is going to get spanked... I hear alot of people say give him a chance a few years to get his system to work... Ok well lets see I say 4 years just a nice round number, what happens in 4 years if nebraska even with his recruits still post loosing records? what will ya say then? Am I to beleave that Callahans system only works with the very best athleates in the country? well I hate to say it but if this system needs the best kinda like pros why did the raiders fall 4 - 12 with this system, and your not going to get the best athleates at every possition all the time if ya do they tend to look into those things and suspend you from bowl elegibility.. As you might have guessed I dont beleave in the wco nor do I beleave in Callahan or cosgrove.. If he cant maintain or at least come close to last years mark or hell even have a 50-50 season why the hell do we have him as a coach? put him in a recruiting possition and leave the coaching up to someone who can make changes during the game and has a system that works in football... Dont give me that bs about greenbay uses a form of the wco yada yada yada because each form of the wco is different depending on the coach.... I hate to see it happen but I just cant bring my self to honestly say Nebraska will have a winning season because I think they drop the last two games of the year, sure do feel sorry for the seniors on the team that wanted to go to a bowl game, but Callahan seems to not care and is waiting for his recruits to come in screw the players that are alrdy playing I guess.... I would love to see the AD fired and Callahan let go along with cosgrove, but sadly Nebraska is stuck with them and with that comes a weak team thats what callahan coaches, cosgrove is good at takeing good D and turning them into wimps... The only thing that Callahan has to hide behind is Dailey, and even that is pretty lame being that 2 games left in the season and the system still hasnt worked this is a problem that wil be here as long as Callahan is here. IM very impressed with the wco I never thought I would see the day that Nebraska is #1 in the ncaa in a passing stat of corse that stat would be INT's but hey they are #1 in something right? When I looked at the schedule earlier in the year, I was grateful we were having this game in Norman this year. I knew we weren't going to be that good, therefore this is an easy lose for us. Now for next year, we give this staff some time to implement the offense and get some players in here and then we can take on the SOoners at our place with a better team=a better chance at victory. You could give this retard err Callahan a million years to try to put his system in to works and you would still comeout with a loosing season sorry, this system sucks and should be dumped along with the staff save gill.

with our crappy coaching it's hard to get fired up about this game. Man they are bad. Real bad. Coaching? I didnt know we had coaches I was asuming that was to be announced at the end of this season... because Callahan and crew are noting more than filler

Its kinda hard to get pumped up on a game that everyone knows the outcome to, Cosgrove and Callahan are yet again going to get out coached and possibly for the first time all season nebraska is playing against a team with more talent

Doesn't matter. They have a couple other backs that can easily take the torch against Cosgroves defense. They have All-American qb throwing to All-American WR's. I hope Ruud puts his shoulder into that "All American, 12th year senior" knees Thats not cool at all if you hate the team hate the team, but never wish for something like that to happen to a player... That really doesnt make sence wishing bad things to happen to someone that is just out playing a game not killing people.

Growing up in the sandhills of Nebraska, I grew up watching Nebraska and listening to Nebraska.. Nebraska fans are some of the best in the world, this is partly due to Nebraska having nothing else sports wise to get behind. Nebraska fans dont fill the stadium to see a loss, though if Nebraska looses they dont jump the wagon for some other team, they will how ever look at the loss and try to figure out how they lost... I wish I could say that our losses were simply that just a loss out played or the other team was just on fire and couldnt be stopped, this year is simply a bad coaching year, Teams we should have beat, beat us by out coaching Callahan. The theory that Nebraska doesnt have the talent this year is insain, they have the talent and they have the heart to win games, they simply do not have a coach that can win. Callahan's system doesnt work, Nebraska is leading the NCAA in INT's and after 9 games you would think that things would be running a little smoother so the theory Callahan was thrown into this and he hasnt had time to get his system working just isnt going to fly any more. Cosgrove is another inigma, how and why was he hired, I havent seen a Nebraska D this bad in years, they might want to change from Black shirts to red shirts as they seem to spend alot of time on d in the red zone. This was a D that last year was actually feared, this year they look like crap, and the only thing that has really changed has been the coaching. I have said it before and I will say it again, Callahan is a great recruiter but a bad coach, but then again Osborne never really recruited the very best at a possition, he recruited athleates and then molded them into the position that he needed them to play at, so having a top recruiting class doesnt make a team it just means that you have alot of stars on a team that are going to want the ball... Take this for what you will its just what I think nothing more....

Yes you do leave him in there and you do keep calling the play, he has made these plays in practice all the time, he must make them in the game. You learn by doing and there's no better time then in the game. dailey must complete the passes. Keep throwing the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grow up Dailey This is a wonderfull Idea, lets dump the run and just pass like texas tech, the only diff is the tech has a qb that can throw, Dailey isnt a threat in the passing game, honestly if you want to beat NEbraska with Callahan coaching all you have to do is shut down the run or focus on the run only and let Dailey attempt to beat you with his arm. odds are that hes going to throw the ball to the receiver 30% and the other 70% are going to fly beyond or behind the reciever or directly to the safty.

Callahan is a great recruiting tool, that I will give him....But he is not a coach, he has been out coached many times this year, I dont want to hear any of this BS we need better athleates because that is a load of crap this is the same team as last year and this year we are strugleing to make it to the magical 6th win to be bowl elegable. Honestly with how Callahan has managed in the span of less than a year to take Nebraska from a winning program to the whipping boy of the big 12, im not sure that I would want to see Nebraska in a bowl game to be destroid on National tv.... He just doesnt have what it takes to be a head coach, he might have been good as a cordinator, someone who tells the head coach what they are doing then the head coach desides what to do.... I think this is in away funny, Solich is fired beacuse they say he cannot win the big games... Callahan comes in and cannot win period, Pelini leaves and some retard named Cosgrove comes in last year good D this year one of the worst in NCAA... Callahan says pass is key, congrats callahan Nebraska is Numero Uno in ncaa in interceptions, Iowa state was getting ate up by the run so what does Callahan do in his worthless coaching Offense ( WCO ) he passes 40 + times.... Cosgrove on D well im not really sure that he knew where he was at let alone what game he was coaching.... All I keep hearing from everyone is wait till he gets his recruits in, then you will see what the WCO can do, well I have seen what Callahan Coaching can do, so far from the end of last year to current Callahan has won 9 and lost 16 thats bloody amazing, say what you will about Pelini last year Nebraska had a D, with basically the same players this year nebraska is getting man handled thats all there is to it.
