  1. This is great news!! This could actually turn out to be very cool now, as long as they still throw the bones more often than they wave their hands, that is. I think it is a great honor to The Blackshirts to be able to show that they've earned a blackshirt. It'll be good for fans of opposing teams too, as they will now have a distinction between The Blackshirts and 2nd stringers.... I've always wished that they would have a Blackshirt helmet-sticker or something to that effect for the actual Blackshirs, this will do though.
  2. Surprised we're ranked ahead of both Iowa and tOSU.... IDK what they have returning for sure, but both seem to usually have a bigger threat in the passing game than us.... I guess Kyler Reed does make up for some of our WR issues.
  3. If your going to mention anything about Nike, I would be saying "atleast they didn't screw up the whole uniform like Nike did". LOL, that is for sure.
  4. Meh, every school seems to have something like this now. This isn't anything special, imo.... I don't hate them, I'm just not overly-impressed or excited to see them. If I see more gloves than Bones this year I'll be very mad.
  5. It is good to finally have a TE, now we just need to find another.
  6. IDK anything about him, so I won't comment on whether he was deserving of an offer or not... but... Maybe the coaches feel comfortable taking the Cotton boys because they know what they are going to get out of them. Kind of like a security blanket, even if they aren't the best in the nation, its nice knowing you can count on them to do their part. Also, would it be any kind of NCAA infraction if Barney were to pay for their schooling? If Barney were ever given a raise or bonus during their time here I could see that potentially becoming a problem. IDK, just a though...
  7. Jammal Lord was a better replacement for Eric Crouch, than Eric Crouch would've been for Eric Crouch.
  8. Dear Lord, the battles we go through life,
  9. Wisconsin and tOSU are probably the consensus favorites, just because they are the first B10-away/B10-home games... But personally I'm looking forward to PSU, and Mich the most.... I'm extremely pumped to play both these teams each year. I think PSU is going to turn into a rivalry both fan-bases can get into, and NU v MU is likely going to decide the division most years, so it important for us to start that series off with a win. If Tressel's or the players suspensions are lengthened, IDK if I would care about the tOSU game anymore than I would if it was Minnesota as our first home game.... I want Tressel and co. to all be in Lincoln for that game. Even with them probably being a little bit rusty, it just wouldn't be the same without them.
  10. they would help your drunk though...
  11. Its changed since then, there won't be seats on top of the sky-box.
  12. anyone know when the templates for custom covers come out?
  13. Plans have changed since then.... From what I understand the east side will look much closer to the west than in that video.
  14. Iowa won't need the hospital parking lot on gameday... They'll just need the beds! and the pretty[fat] nurses.... GO BIG RED!
  15. Very glad we had the chance to continue the Friday game! GBR! It'd be cool if CU gets the same opportunity in the P12, too. I am going to miss the games with Colorado a lot, too.. For as much as I didn't care about them while we were in the B12, throughout this year, they've earned a lot of respect from me. I hope we're able to schedule an annual game with them down the road, or play them in the Rose Bowl annually.
  16. Thank you very much, all of you!!
  17. Does anybody know the hexadecimal for the Huskers' colors? for both the scarlet and cream... Im sure I've seen it here before, but I don't remember when, and I don't feel like digging through all the posts....
  18. They also think its blasphemy to even talk about it. So, SSHHHhhhhh....
  19. Well, a lot of people don't take the time or have the room for a garden, so buying from a store would be more convenient.... Another reason people would buy from a store is it'd be stronger. Botanist's would be able to cross-breed the different strains of MJ to make stronger stuff, that most people wouldn't go to the effort of making. Your right though, a lot of people would grow it themselves. I just don't think that would take away from market value a whole lot.
  20. I don't remember what it is, but there is a vitamin that does that to your pee too! haha, fyi...
  21. Not so sure it'd make the prices plummet, but Im sure they'd drop some.... If it were legalized, people/farmers/botanists/ect. would be able to grow stronger and stronger strands of weed more easily, that would help keep the prices up... Plus the taxes on it would also keep it high(<-- PUN!) like cigarettes.
  22. Wow, haven't visited this part of the site for a while... anyway, I was just surfing the web, and found a thread with some interesting stuff about thermite used during the WTC's collapse, and though I'd share it here... ---- This is a video of an "1000 Architects & Engineers" member, John Cole, trying to debunk a Nat Geo report that thermite cannot cut through steel. National Geographic made a TV program trying to bolster the official reports and debunk conspiracy theorists, where they used 175 pounds of thermite and concluded that no thermite "of any type" could cut through steel columns, giving the impression that it was impossible. Cole has not only successfully cut through steel with less than 5 pounds of a thermate compound as you can see in the above video, but in the process he's reproduced several anomalous events at the WTC, from explosions, to expulsions of gray dust/debris, to white-hot flowing metal and melted steel with the appearance of swiss cheese. Cole set out to answer three questions: 1. Can thermitic material melt steel? Conclusion: Yes. 2. Can it cut steel horizontally or vertically? Conclusion: Yes. 3. Does it take massive quantities to do any real damage? Conclusion: It takes only a few pounds to melt completely through steel that is over an inch thick. In addition to this, he unexpectedly reproduced the following WTC events: 1. He reproduced a flow of molten iron identical to this flow filmed coming from WTC2 minutes before its collapse: 2. He reproduces steel reduced to razor-thickness and with holes eaten through it via the "high-temperature corrosive attack" of the thermate and just as the steel featured in FEMA appendix C from the WTC: 3. He reproduces the violent expulsions of dust and debris from the WTC witnessed both before and especially during their destructions: 4. He produces sounds (explosions) consistent with witness testimony, and he even compares his experiments to a witness's testimony in the video above at 12:35. So yes, there are forms of thermite that can eat through vertical steel columns, and National Geographic itself has been debunked, along with anyone else who has in the past said this is an impossible. Pass this video along to the stubborn; they can't say we didn't tell them so.
  23. Brion Carnes will be on the 2 deep. Been hearing good things about him.... He'll very likely push TM for the starting spot during srping/fall camps. Whether that turns out to just be 'coach speak' or not, thats what they'll be saying. He fits into the same offensive scheme as TM, so everything I've heard makes sense from that perspective... CG will be the third wheel if we stick with the spread-zone offense.
  24. I really want Lyons & Turene... But I really wish we'd finish off the class with another WR, RB, and DL(or 2).... We need to take Lyons if he wants in --Turene too--, but we're so stacked in the secondary that it doesn't really matter, when we still need to build depth at WR & RB.
  25. IDK if its been posted yet, sorry if it has.... But Alex is only up by 1%, for the Rudy award. Only 3 days left, and you can only vote once per day... Lets win this for Henery!! CLICK THIS Note: The "fan voting" only counts as one part of a 13 person pannel, so its possible that Henery loses or wins regarless of how this poll turns out.
