  1. At the moment, all the talk is about the game this week against UNC.
  2. After watching our offense under our current offensive coordinator, the best thing to do would be to blitz the crap out of us. Every Tech fan knows that our OC ( I'm not going to attempt to spell his last name) can tell you that he is incapable of calling plays that make a defense pay for blitzing. We have no offensive identity with him considering how he will not continue doing something even if it is successful. An example of this is how we completely abandoned running the ball with Brandon Ore against Kansas in the Orange Bowl. Our defense still struggles with tackling and playing assignment football. Our corners are the real strength of the defense considering that they will get physical in run support and lockdown receivers. Our d-line continues to get no pressure on the quarterback and our 5th year Senior linebackers just look slow on the field. Bo shut down our offense last year by blitzing which will probably not change. To be honest, I don't have a lot of expectations for this game anymore.
  3. Terrible coaching, and a O-line that is not as good as advertised. Tyrod Taylor was running for his life yesterday since our line couldn't give him any time to throw. Our D-line is getting no pressure on the quarterback but the rest of the defense is improving. I haven't been able to watch any of Nebraska, but you seem to be winning comfortably. Am I right?
  4. I really hate how College Gameday goes to every overhyped Big 10 game. Michigan vs. Ohio State- Gameday goes to this game every year.
  5. Cheeseman, Shuman, and Wheeler should all be healthy though. They were only supposed to miss the spring. Luckett and Whitaker played pretty well in the spring game. Also, no chance that Holt starts, Zach Luckett has the other spot all but locked up. There's plenty of talent at the position, just virtually no experience. I heard that Luckett might be suspended for the East Carolina game. Holt will be the 3rd string Q.B. though. He has a big frame, but he is not that fast, and has little experience playing at any position.
  6. Several Injuries Brandon Dillard- Torn Achillies Jahre Cheeseman- Broken Tibia Kenny Lewis- Shoulder Surgery Ryan Shuman- Shoulder Surgery Sam Wheeler- Coming back from a torn ACL Shame that Dillard got hurt though. He was the only reciever in the Spring Game that played good. Heck we may have 2 former QB's and our best corner playing reciever.
  7. because Va Tech is a consistently good program, and KU appears to be a one year wonder. If a Kansas fan knew anything, they should know that we are a terrible bowl team. Our coaches treat the games as rewards instead of a football game. Prior to the Orange Bowl, our team was bowling, playing on jet-skis, etc. Vince Hall hurt his knee on a jet-ski and Cam Martin got hurt in the game as well. We expected Kansas to be a joke and it showed with our lackluster performance. That being said, Oklahoma is the toughest game for Nebraska in 2008. Nice excuse Hokie nation- The Jayhawk players were having fun on the beach as well. You should check out the KU beach party before the bowl game. No excuses hokie pokie, ya'll got beat. Deal with it. Now get off your mom's computer because she needs to e-mail me back. Oh, and tell her to shave. I swear she looks more and more like Chewbacka everytime I see her. Another classy KU fan. Have fun at the Alamo Bowl this year while my team will be playing in another BCS bowl. That is one fan. He is the board's provacatuer in the case of the Hawks... KU fans spent quite a bit of time interacting with Va Tech fans in Miami and actually the feedback I got back from both sides was very positive. Even those smack talking videos on the internet that were like Apple commercials were well mande and very funny. While SGS takes a different tack than I do, I think we do share the frustration of being called not for real all the time. Every week people said we would lose, we did not. Everyone said Va. Tech would blow us out, they did not. SOrry if we are prickly, but KU fans have seen our team improve gradually and then break through. I am just looking forward to a good year so I can quit hearing about how lucky we are. <-- Very funny, but Mario Chambers? <-- They left out a few of their games, and a few of ours... (Mizzou had more than 10 wins too...) <-- Pretty funny <-- Then I guess they were sure to beat us... Funny though, very well done comedy. But, we get this a lot, and then we win, and then nothing changes... I still think OU is the team to beat, how can they not be. Texas and OU have the most talent and win the most. Hard to argue with those programs.... What's even more frustrating is after we beat good teams suddenly everyone says they weren't that good to begin with. I guess it was just luck that V-Tech was ranked #3 in the BCS before we played them. But they weren't any good? Welcome to our world. Remember how little credit we had going into the 2000 National Championship game with F.S.U. .
  8. I appreciate your prediction, but their is no way that Virginia Tech hangs 63 points on Nebraska. Their is also about a 99% chance you are in elementary school, and that you can name one player on W.A.M.U's team.

  10. Good experiences: L.S.U.- Let my group tailgate with them. T.A.M.U. - Very nice Duke- J.K. they have no fans Bad experiences: Florida- hate em West Virginia- Hate having batteries thrown at you, having beer bottles thrown at you, and tipping the porta john over when your taking a dumb(didn't happen to me, but happened to another fan) Kansas- (Their fans at the bowl game were A$$ holes) U.N.C.- (Bunch of rich pricks) Colorado is playing West Virginia, right? That game is gonna be brawl city.

  12. Makes me wonder why you fired Frank Solich in the first place.
  13. No offense, but as good as Eric Crouch was in college, how is Dick Butkus not in the conversation. The man was a monster at linebacker.
