  1. he would still be better than anyone KC has on the roster now... No, don't get me wrong he is a good QB but he is a great QB in the spread offense. Only one team in the NFL runs the spread and it is the Patriots. It would take a couple of years for him to learn a new system, learn to read defenses, drop back and pass, see over the offensive line and other stuff that I don't want to get into. Sorry, the Chiefs would be fine without him. my statement was more about how bad the chiefs are. So bad, that I, a life long fan, turned down free tickets because I would have to reschedual some things. Since when is that a good excuse not to attend a game....I'll tell ya. when your team sucks this bad. I just watch it at home. (god, i think i just threw up a little saying that) not to go totally of topic but what is the status of alberts? last i heard was sprained elbow. doubtful for this week, no set time table for return
  2. The last 3 years Oregan State has upset 5, yes 5 top 25 teams. Including #1 USC (08), #2 Cal (07) and #3 USC (06). They have been doing it for a while now. WHEN did NU last beat a team they were not supposed to? I can tell you the last top 10 team NU beat was Oklahoma in 2001. They are 0-9 since then. NU<Oregon State, when it comes to upsets. not saying it couldnt happen, but that is not a good example for NU to hang their hat on. Maybe something out of the little giants. "Even if MU could bet us down Cherry Hill 99 times out of 100, we would still have that 1 time" just playing

  4. He is pretty good. Granted, having the offensive players around him that MU has is a big help, but he really moves well. Catchs the ball as well as Lucky does. He is good enough that they sometimes line him up at WR instead of just running routes out of the backfield. He is alittle more powerful than he looks and will break arm tackles. Decent speed. Overall I think he is a better back than Temple. But DW is not as much of a 'lower your head' type of runner that Temple was. The one plus about the spread that MU runs is it give Washington a chance to cut back and if the play is blocked really well it gives him a one-on-one with a LB or S. The one thing that really seperates him from Temple is DW can make you miss. Temple would always lower the shoulder. And hey, NOTHING wrong with wanting your team to win

  6. pressuring Chase is good in theory, but actually doing it is another story. NU has seriously struggled to get pressure with their front 4, and Mu's splits and O line wont make it any easier. So that means you are blitzing. And if that is the case you cant show the blitz before the snap because Chase will already know where its coming from and know his hot read if the blitzer comes. SO this means you have to hide/delay the blitz when means it takes longer to get to Chase and exposes the D. With Mu it is pick your posion. Blitz or lay back. What JGS said is all good in well, but simply fact is only 1 team has been able to do this. And that is OU. NU's D line is not at all comparable to OU's. And mind you OU really did a good job on MU in the Big 12 championship and MU still had 300+ yrds and 4 redzone trips. Fact is NU's best and only shot is turnovers. Cause them, force them, pray for them. Whatever. If the ball is on the ground or up for grabs NU must get it and not turn it back over in order to stay close. They can not win a shoot out, especially if they give MU 'xtra' chances
  7. How did that Iowa State vs South Dakota State prediction thing turn out for you? They miss you over at Cyclone Fanatic...they weren't done kicking you yet. OHHHHHHHHHH SNAP!!!!! Zinger for the Cy man
  8. I didnt know this until today, but i was told that 11 pt dog is the largest spread against Nu at home EVER. And only the second time Nu is a double digit dog (first was USC last year). That is some crazy stuff.
  9. hey bunny its thirty years, Get your smack right before you make yourself look like a clown. Next year I can't wait to pull the "you havent won here in" card. It will be 8 years and counting next season nub fans
  10. if i remember correctly it is presented by the alumni clubs or something like that. I know its still passed they just might not make it public. Few people had seen the MU/KU war drum until M. Rucker starting carring it around the field two years ago.
  11. I woundn't doubt some fans say that crap but I have a pretty hard time believing you could herd all MU fans in to that crap. I for one would laugh at those people and I am a MU fan. That would be like me grouping all of you into the same fun pack with one of the NU tools I work with. He claims 42-17 for this weeks game. A NU victory of course. Not to mention he argues that NU is a top 10 team and MU doesnt belong in the top 25.
  12. i would think you get tuff sleet before tuff snow. Dont doubt its tuff-ness either. you ever took sleet to the eye? OUCH!! and dont forget tuff snow, 18 inches worth in 1 day 2 years ago. shut down all of SE Nebraska for 3 days. Thats tuff stuff lol
  13. Even if it were to be a blow out I would be cool about it. After all, I wouldn't want to act like some jackass KU fan Either way, when its all said and done, its still Saturday night
  14. you left out the part following that great speech. The part where the other army overwhelms them runs threw them like a buzz saw and leaves their slaughtered bodies for the birds. thats the 2nd battle in the movie, not this one. shuush lol. I guess that means a close first half, then the slaughter begins in the second half. I may luck into some tickets and would be more than happy to share a drink with some of you Saturday
  15. you left out the part following that great speech. The part where the other army overwhelms them runs threw them like a buzz saw and leaves their slaughtered bodies for the birds.
  16. trying to rile up NU to do something your jayhawks cant... nice strategy, when you cant do the job, find someone else. Dont worry JGS, if MU gets the chance, they'll bet that pesky Big East team for you...
  17. CY, you seem like an old school type of guy so I am curious what you thought about something that really pissed me off. I am sitting at a party with about 12 husker fans, watching the game and cheering on the big 12. NU scores, everyone is pumped. Then the ABC camera's show what I thought was "all night dance party" or a scene from a music video. I am all for getting pumped on a big play, but crist, why are 6 husker players have organized dance partys on the freaking sideline of a game nebraska is LOSING. I damn near came unglued. Earlier mentioned husker fans in attendance look at me like I'm freaking nuts. But the way I see it. 1. there is still a game being played 2. and your still losing said game. 3. dancing is what you do with the girls after the game. Maybe I am just old school in my thought. But I know my coaches would have flipped out, and if i was coach i would have too. Just curious about your thoughts. And that of other husker fans too
  18. i thought you were talking about the nebraska defense.
  19. So true it's almost NOT funny. Some of you guys live on the edge of emotion. It was never as good as some made it out to be, and it is not as bad as you are trying to now. 1. New coach - it take more than a few games to get fully adjusted. Player to coach, coach to new job. 2. Change in attitude/work ethic - some thing as above. it takes some time. I will tell you what I saw. I saw a team that fought back and didnt give up. Last years team would have lost by 20+ with the way that game went. Players and coach got a little hot headed at the end and may have cost the team a little. But overall, they fought threw mistakes and some poor play and put together a pretty solid effort. Are they a 9-10 win team at this point, no. But realistically, few should have thought that anyway. If this team continues to improve there will be bright days ahead husker fans. Dont go turning off the lights yet...
  20. I tried to post "Missouri Tigers National/Big 12 Championships" but all that came up was: "none in existence" you must not have searched baseball then sucka! WE GOT 1. THats right friend. ONE NATIONAL TITLE. YES!!!! OH yeah.. do a dance Oh yeah
  21. Dont get offended..... husker fans i am just playing. the same way you are. its okay to laugh when people poke fun at you. You act like every time someone posts something stupid other fans get all upity. MU and KU fans have watched their teams suck for years, no booger picking joke could be worse than 5th downs or 3-8 seasons.
  22. now dont go pokin too much fun bugeaters or else someone may call the bad mascot cops on you I would like to hear TT's take on the 'hokie' bird CORN RIDING PICKLE
  23. almost as much pleasure as i would have in watching the NU 'blackshirts' walk of the field with their heads hung low, defeated, picking their camel toes. now don't go taking it too serious huskerballz, just a joke. get it, camel toes...because their pussies. get it.... hehehehehehehehehe just playin
