I take back everything I previously said... 5-6 season. Losing the rest of our games. Worst defense in the country. 500 yards to one player?! When we know he's going to do this?

McKeon is shadowing smith. But they hold him... CHEATERS!!! Why?! I was in so much pain for the first quarter... now I'm happy again. For a few minutes.

Can the refs call one holding? On Brad Smith's last run... I said "Where is Mckeon!?" And sure enough... he was being held on the line. WTF?!? Ah... a fresh start... and we get the ball first!!

I was just checking the polls, and I thought... wait.. there are 6 or 7 two-loss teams on there. But then I compared schedules. We just haven't played anyone. We had our shot at being rated by beating Texas Tech (gRRRRRR FALL DOWN!!) and we didn't do it. Now we have no one left on our schedule unless we win the rest of our games and face Texas in the Big 12 Championship. It's a long way off... but even then, we won't get any respect unless we actually pull the upset against Texas. (dreams)

Did anyone else notice how crappy that pay per view signal was? They must have compressed and recompressed the signal... or they were using video phones to broadcast the game. I flipped from the USC v. ND game to the Huskers and it was just awful. I don't expect the coverage to be as high quality as network (announcers, camera angles, etc.) but the picture quality should be decent enough to separate the green shirts of the Baylor backs from the green of the turf.

If you remember, Bullocks not tackling led to a couple big plays against TT too. He has had a habit of doing that this season. It was good to see our defense tighten up even with replacements in the game. Our linebackers have to stop getting hurt.

That was the worst officiating that I've ever seen! The Grixby take away at the beginning of the game set the tone for a long and painful night of bad calls. Both of Baylor's big runs were the result of holding. The Ruud one was very blatant, but the second big outside run also had a major hold... right there!!! Those interference calls on both sides were just ridiculous. Let the players play a little football, you morons!!! Man... it was just painful to watch.

The comment about us playing to our competition is exactly right. We just said the same thing in my living room after watching this game. The Huskers we saw this week were not the same ones who almost beat Tech last week. They did just enough to win. What's with Ross fumbling twice?!

A friend of mine said the game is on PPV. I hae DirectTV... where would I find the game? I checked directtv.com... couldn't find anything. Huskers.com... nothing. Anyone know? Thanks,

I was counting non-called holding. I saw many many non calls. But they called us on a couple that really hurt. It makes me sick. I know that when we aren't getting to the QB it's because they are holding us. Wow... that change of possession is brilliant!!!

I agree... BLS is an idiot. the Huskers have a different attitude this year... never give up... never surrender!!!

The only thing I want to add... Solich had an affinity for playing people he thought were "good people" or "tough kids" rather than the most talented. The one that always steams me is when he played Alexander over Buckhalter. And more recently... Josh Davis. Why he was in the game, I never could figure out. I know that Ross is a great player... he's a playmaker, but in short yardage situations, he just doesn't have that up-the-middle oomph.

It seems like there are lots of noncalls for holding... I don't know why that is. Every time I see the Nebraska defense struggle, it's usually because we can't get to the QB because the opposing linemen are holding our boys!
