I am a member of this camp.

Offense: B+ good numbers, 35 points. Keller can look awesome. Sometimes holds the ball too long. Bad turnovers but good numbers. Lucky isn't an every down back. He is a 3rd down- catch the ball out of the backfield back. He can't break tackles (although on 3rd and 2 he came through big). Offensive line mediocre at best. They should throw to Purify every play. I think we have a real TE in Hill. Defense: F- McKeon is always out of position - sit him down Murillo looks pretty bad. Andre Jones and Asante look terrible. - Our JUCO secondary. Ruud had a much better game, even before the pick. Octavian is a stud. Potter had a good game as well but the line in general is really bad. Things I liked: Dillard and Brandenburg (before he got hurt) on the field. I bet we see more of this. Thenarse, Wilson, Blue, all got real playing time. (not just special teams). Didn't help the D much but it shows the coaches recognize the need for change (how could they not?!). The TE pass! The offense in general. Winning. Things that were bad: The defense (someone in Lincoln go put some For Sale signs on Cosgroves front lawn) Beating ball state by 1 point at home isn't very cool. The defense- tackling is still a problem The defense- No pass rush The defense- slow The defense- No fire The defense- LB's (1 in particular) out of position The defense- no in game adjustments I don't see how Cosgrove can keep his job if this continues. Can anyone think of a D-coord getting fired mid-season? I can't. I bet he's here for the year but something has to change.

Yep. I'm pretty good with the offense but Mr. Cosgrove stinks up the room.

Despite the QB miss on the Blitz I'm glad to see Thenarse on the feild. Great hit by Dillard!!!!

Yeah, what was the word? I watched him make 2 plays on 1 series and then limp off. We need him in there instead of slow and slower.

I've seen Dillard and Brandenburgh on 2 straight plays and I think thats a good thing.

I wish Lucky could break tackles.

11-3 Loss to USC 1 other stumble in the season Getting rolled by OU in Big 12 N champ (I'd like to see a good showing here but.....) Winning our bowl game. Final rankinig between 15-20 is progress. Ending up between 10-15 is where I think we should be at years end. I think beating Texas would go a long ways. Going undefeated in B12 before the champ game would leave us at 12-2.

I wondered as well. Glenn seemed more effective than Lucky against the big boys of USC and I think Castille would've been better than Lucky as well. it was one of those in game adjustments that seems obvious that never happens.

It would certainly send a message and I think there would be some new starters.

Can an old guy recruit though? Probably just pro talent. Maybe if he hired as a recruiting coordinator. I think CU tried something like that but with hookers.

Did anyone think it was weird he didn't get asked about the head coaching job a few years back?

At least 2 of those 3 will be more entertaining games. A&M Baylor will suck but the other 2 have top 10 teams. OU is gonna hang 60 on CU. Texas is over-rated.

1. I bet he does from here on out. It did seem they made a point to get him the ball during USC beating. 2. Surrounding talent I think. 3. In time he will. I guess he doesn't know where he is supposed to be (of course neither do our linebackers, but thats a differnt story). 4. Not sure. Regardless of title he is certainly the leader of the offense. 5. I try not to be part of the "lets fire the coaches" rabble but I wouldn't be upset if he were relieved of his duties after this year. There are some post saying that it isn't coaching but the players that don't execute that are the problem. At some point missed assignments, poor tackling, bad angles does have to go back to coaching. Can anyone think of a time when a college coach was fired mid-season? I can't come up with any. I can think of post-season pre-bowlm game changes but no mid season ones.

BTW- another positive, Cody Glenn was on the field and looked pretty good, running and catching (pass protect was OK) That defensvie line was pretty bad but I'm most worried about the linebackers. They were supposed to fill those gaps. they were out of position and looked R-r-r-e-e-e-a-a-a-l-l-l-l-y S-s-s-s-l-l-l-----o-o-o-------w-w-w-w.

Noted. It looks like our starters are about as good as USC's 2nd team. We have better talent with the new recruits they just aren't ready to play yet. Things will move forward. Its just hard when you expect 10 win seasons and top 10 finishes every year.

Kinda like a comet. You see it happen once evry 75 years. He and Nunn are having a contest. Give it a couple more recruiting classes and players like Nunn and Hardy would get no where near the feild.

Agreed, but that is what the recruiting classes will bring. Our 1st team is as good as USC's 2nd. Better talent is coming and so is the depth.

I think I'll drink this red kool aid. Tough but winnable games against Texas and Mizzou but yeah, aside from a USC like beat down against OU in the Big 12 champ, I think we can win the rest.

Do we have linebackers? I haven't seen any. Sometimes on replays of all those huge open running plays I see our linebackers on the wrong side of the play. The people that post on these boards about Ruud and McKeon being too slow used to piss me off. Now...........I'm not so sure.

I'm glad the crowd is booing. I'm not part of the ax Cally crowd but that call was BS.

Wake Forrest was not a fluke, we have tackling problems. Still in the game and lovin' it.
