i vote to kick it because if we take the ball and the offense sputters then they get good field position on their first posession, but if we kick it then chances are that they will not have as good of field position

if we win the toss, do we take the ball or kick it away???

hopefully this SEC crap is done with by the time kick-off roles around. Vandy and Auburn need to run the ball every play from here on out!

after reviewing the game last night on espn360, here is my assessment of the running game: First, if you take out Ganz's runs/scrambles, we didn't run the ball all that much. Second thing i noticed was that on about every zone running play, the running back got caught from behind by either a back side linebacker or defensive end. Thats credited to VT's speed and so we probably shouldn't have run any zone plays at all because their defense is so fast. There were some holes on the outside of these plays but the backs could never get there before being caught from behind. Thirdly, the plays where we had pulling linemen were somewhat successful. They usually yielded 4 yards or more but we didnt run them that often. Sure there were numerous times when there were absolutely no places for our backs to go but that wasn't the case every time. Keep in mind that VT's defensive line is really good and has both size and speed. I also would have liked to see a few more screens and draw plays to keep VT's defense honest but that didn't happen. We ran one middle screen that i remember. It went to Lucky and he got knocked down for no gain I believe and that was the end of the screens to the running backs. So I'm blaming our lack of a running game on several things: 1. VT's team speed 2. Some poor play calls 3. and poor execution by the huskers

I never heard what he said...but if he called the official a CS, he is lucky he didn't get ejected...and I probably wouldn't argue with that ejection, no matter how wrong the official may or may not have been on the Suh penalty. Not entirely sure but i believe its a reference to Bull Durham where Kevin Costner calls the ump a ****-sucker in order to get thrown out. Or maybe Bo actually did call the ref a ****-sucker. i just watched the replay on espn360 and Bo definitely said some not nice things. i couldn't tell who the comment was directed towards but i also noticed that the phrase of choice was an "f'ing c***-sucker" and then Bo turned away for about 15 seconds then went back for another go and then the ref threw the flag

the defense also couldn't force any turnovers. i think this ties into the fact that VT had higher caliber athletes on the field that have the ability to step up and make big plays more often than our guys. Bottom line is that effort and heart will have to make up for our lower talent level if we want to compete with high caliber teams this season and probably a few seasons to come. The huskers played hard tonight but the cards just didnt fall our way. Bo will keep them playing hard, so as fans we need to be patient and let Bo make the best of what we've got

we need to run the ball more in the second half to open up the play action more. ganz needs to settle down and relax and stop forcing things. Secondary needs to wake up and we need to win the field position battle in the second half. thats my two cents

any chance the game will be on espn360 or do they just show espn games there?
