  1. His throwing mechanics are fine, I think. Not sure if you meant that specifically or overall mechanics. His footwork on his drops could use a little cleanup, but I think that's a result of putting him in a shotgun/spread offense when he really ought to be in a more pro-style offense. His biggest problem (as you pointed out) is happy feet. He made the O-line look a LOT worse than they really were. NU certainly got pressure at times, but even when they didn't, he ran into it unnecessarily. This has been a problem for 2 years, now.
  2. When did the officials whine and complain about NU leaving?
  3. The guy is a hack, plain and simple. Everyone in Missouri knows it, too. He made some good points, but he can't resist getting his jabs in. And, frankly, if you look at his history, he's been highly critical of MU over last few years.
  4. Is that really what you took from that article? Overall, it was a big, fat cheap shot at MU, the kind of which other posters on this forum have been critical of when it was about NU. He basically said MU sucked so bad that they couldn't even adjust to a simple alignment change up front. That's about as red-tinted as it comes. Yeah, that's why I asked if I was being overly sensitive. It really isn't about this one article, it is a culmination of slights that I have perceived (whether real or imagined) from Lee over the years. My real intent with this post was to gauge the perception Husker fans have of Lee's NU football coverage. I could be way off base. It wouldn't be the first time in my life that has happened. No worries, I wasn't trying to harass you, or anything. It's just amazing how two different people can read the same article and come away with totally different interpretations based on their perspectives. The whole thing sounded like a tongue-in-cheek joke, to me.
  5. What exactly do you want? Do you want every BS call that went against Nebraska to simply be overlooked because we beat Missouri's ass? You are entirely unrealistic here. I want you to recognize that there is no conspiracy. If we both took the time to put together a tape of all the BS calls we felt went against our teams this year, they would not be substantially different. Bad calls happen all the time. The suspension was unexpected, yes, but that had more to do with the NFL, in my opinion. And, I would be willing to bet we see another suspension this year. Right, because Missouri Fan would never complain that there was a Big XII conspiracy against them, like in the allotment of bowl bids, right? You can be the pot or the kettle. Whichever you choose doesn't matter, because you're just as guilty as the rest. Too bad this board wasn't around in 1997 following the Nebraska-Missouri game. Could you imagine the Tigger fans' uproar? Yeah, because we are SOOO different than you, right? Had the tables been turned, I'm sure this board would've sat back and golf-clapped over the whole deal.
  6. No kidding. The dude is "shock jock" writer for a St. Louis newspaper and didn't even attend Mizzou. Hell, he's from Maryland. LOL!!! Don't think Bernie is representative of the Tiger Nation? Check out the Tigerboard. It's full of BM's. Just like you two. Message Board Smack!!!

  9. There were bad calls both ways. I can think of a serious face mask on Gabbert and at least a couple of PI calls that were missed. There is no conspiracy, missed calls are part of the game. Funny, that's not what Tigerboard is saying about Gabbert's fumble. But it's what one would expect from you based on your previous delusional posts. Sorry to win and run but..... BTW, I like you new moniker H8TR. Very accurate if I say so myself. What? A. I don't speak for Tigerboard, I speak for myself B. Delusional? Examples? C. I am not Huskerh8ter, I can assure you that. But, I know enough about him to know that he would not hide behind a double handle.

Hell, we have people complaining that there may be a conspiracy against as it is just b/c we were involved in the whole realignment mess.
  11. What exactly do you want? Do you want every BS call that went against Nebraska to simply be overlooked because we beat Missouri's ass? You are entirely unrealistic here. Again, this is the wrong medium to get appeal on this line of thinking. Husker fans are not sympathetic to your cause. Fair enough, I'll drop it.

  13. This Missouri fan wouldn't. Trust me, there are plenty of "officials out to get us" threads on our board, even without the spectre of leaving the conference. Again, you're dreaming. Of course you would; you're here right now talking about facemasks and PI calls that weren't made. If you're griping about this now, it's clear you'd be ramping those gripes up even more with the pattern of calls Nebraska has put up with this season. Imagine playing this game without Aldon Smith because the Big XII just happened to suspend him before this game, for a hit that is commonly made every week in college football. Tell me that happens and you, personally, are not thinking there's something up with the situation. You're completely inobjective if you think you wouldn't be talking about that on a Tiger message board. There is a BIG difference between discussing missed calls and thinking they are out to get us or that it cost you a game. My posting history here and on Tigerboard will back up the fact that I don't and wouldn't subscribe to any conspiracy theories. If it makes you feel better about your own paranoia to think that I would, then that's fine with me. You're going to be a top-10 team after this with a legitimate shot at a National title if a few other teams lose (which is quite possible). Do you really need this conspiracy rallying cry right now?
  14. This Missouri fan wouldn't. Trust me, there are plenty of "officials out to get us" threads on our board, even without the spectre of leaving the conference.
  15. Nice flash from your camera on the TV. Not exactly an official review. This clearly isn't the moment of impact, so why don't you let those of us with access to civilized technology and, most importantly, knowledge of football, make the decision. Post your picture then, genius. His shoulder pad is literally touching Martinez's leg. What more do you want? Really? You can tell where his shoulder pad is from that picture? I find that odd as the picture is from the other side of the hit and if you took it a split-second later, you'd probably see the helmet come into contact with the leg, which would be a visible point of contact as it would not be hidden behind Martinez's thigh. Yes, I can tell, b/c his shoulder pad is on his....wait for it....SHOULDER, which is attached to his neck to which his head is attached and his head is already in front of the leg. I'm still waiting for YOUR video or picture evidence to the contrary since mine is hardly official.
  16. There were bad calls both ways. I can think of a serious face mask on Gabbert and at least a couple of PI calls that were missed. There is no conspiracy, missed calls are part of the game. Right. Tell us that after your conference makes precedent-setting rulings against your players for plays that happen every week. Tell us that after your conference exhibits a consistent pattern of officiating "close calls" that go against your team, every time. I don't expect you to be objective, but you'll understand if, after witnessing several such calls each game against our team, we give short shrift to your "it's all equal" mantra. We have eyes, and we know what's going on. If Missouri is ever in a position to leave this conference and the conference appears likely to remain as a body, you'll know what we're talking about. Until then, keep living the dream. You guys are insane. You just soundly beat the #6 team in the country and broke a losing streak at home against top 10 teams and you're going to sit around and complain about officiating in a game where calls were missed both ways.
  17. There were bad calls both ways. I can think of a serious face mask on Gabbert and at least a couple of PI calls that were missed. There is no conspiracy, missed calls are part of the game. Did those non-calls directly result in points? If those 2 fumbles are called properly, it's 38-14 instead of 31-17. I didn't say there was a conspiracy, but sometimes you seriously wonder. I would say at least on of the PI's that wasn't called would've resulted in a TD. Probably two of them, actually, as they were both in the endzone.
  18. He generalized the fan-base as classy. The knucklehead comment was the exception (not saying it was necessary, though). And, yes, 90% of the article was criticism of MU.

  20. after seeing this picture its clear he did not lead with his helmet, infact I'm not even sure that their helmets touched. The crown of his head is pointed to the sky- how is this helmet to helmet It doesn't have to be the crown and the facemask is part of the helmet. No one has been suspended yet, so why don't we just wait and see? If you honestly think that he deserves to be suspended at all, I have lost all respect for you. All of the focus in the NFL has been the "player launching himself leading with the CROWN of his helmet..." Where did I say that? All I said is that it doesn't have to be the crown of the helmet. Is that a focus? Yes, but those fines in the NFL and the suspension this week were not all crown hits. Like I said, no one has been suspended, so before you all throw a fit about it, let's see what happens. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/48060-im-gonna-be-a-man-and-say-it/page__view__findpost__p__686888
  21. I have a question. Don't you think sometimes some kind of stinging chants are fun? I love hockey and in the rink some of the chants make me laugh. They are clever....and sting a little. "Over-rated" isn't really that bad. Kind of a dig but don't you do that with your buddies anyways? I don't have a problem with a little sting. You handed us our asses, fair and square. But "overrated" has, and always will be, a dumb and classless chant. You're actually running down your own team when you chant this. You can't, on one hand, pound your chest about a win over a top 10 team and then turn around and chant "overrated". I can promise you most Nebraska fans won't pound their chests about a win over a top 10 mizzou team... because (right or wrong) mizzou football is NOT taken seriously in this state You (not you specifically) started a whole thread about it: http://www.huskerboa...-off-our-backs/ I realize this doesn't necessarily represent the entire fanbase, but I highly doubt you will just dismiss this win. Who did Nebraska just beat...? If we are so terrible, I imagine you'll stick around #14 or so in the polls/BCS.

  23. You really read a lot into that one, didn't you. There are a myriad of threads/posts on here complaining about officiating. I'm not even complaining, just thought it was an interesting picture. I stated clearly that the refs did not cost us this game. You posted a picture of a possible facemask. I've been to the website you grabbed this picture from, and there are 121 other pictures you could have chosen from, yet you choose this one. Even if you say you're not blaming the refs, then why did you find this picture interesting? I see absolutely nothing interesting in this picture other than the fact that no face mask was called and he didn't catch that ball. This is a loaded thread and it's quite obvious. 121 other pics from games that our teams didn't play in today. Plus, this board is filled with pics of various hits/no-calls from the NU defense. Dude, relax. You are getting way too defensive about this. You kicked our ass today. Does that make you feel better? I'm not talking about the game, I'm talking about your posting on this board. You've already started a thread about our class, and now you're trying to be coy (whether you admit it or not) about this picture. Several other NU posters found it within themselves to give their opinion on the picture and the play rather than throwing a fit. I thought that is what this board was about. Why do you think I put that disclaimer on there? To avoid this very conversation. I am fully aware there are bad calls both ways. Plus, I didn't see this level of detail in watching the game earlier. Is it also possible that you put the disclaimer into your post in order to incite the very comments you claim to have wanted to avoid? What did you expect? With little or no explanation as to why you found this picture interesting -- of course it was going to elicit some angry responses. Troll is a troll. I thought it was pretty obvious why it was interesting, given the particular play in the game and the fact that it's just a cool pic. There, I acknowledged you. If you think I am trolling, don't respond. If you have an opinion about the play, please share it.
