    Car folks - I have a repair guy quoting me at just $1,000 (before tax) to replace spark plugs and the valve gasket covers on my Subaru Impreza. Outside of "do it yourself," does that seem like a fair price?

      Yeah I liked repair pal. They did right by me for finding a good shop as well.

      For the record, I felt kind of bad for the Subaru technician, telling them that I didn't want them to fix it. Best he could do was knock 10% off, but even then, $400 is $400. I've also used this shop before in the past and trust their work. Thanks for the help everyone!

      If it would make you feel better, take it to the place that is $400.00 cheaper, and have them fix it. Then remit that extra $400.00 to HB, so you can sleep at night! :) jk, good luck 89
