    Soap Box: "Get a flu shot"... I did, and for the first time in my life, I was diagnosed with influenza A...actually thought I was dying !!! Can't imagine what would have happened without a vaccination. Have to miss the friggin game though.

      The shot is NOT a living virus. It cannot and will not give you the flu.

      First time I got a flu shot I got sick...the second time, it felt like every...joint..in...my...body was going to explode.

      That's what they. Why for the past two-three years, exactly four hours after the shot, I get a fever that lasts two-three hours? How does your body make immunity if it doesn't produce antibodies for that virus? And no, I don't normally, or ever, run fevers. Just after flu shots
