  1. Congrats on your win, Huskers, and I'm grateful your fans weren't a-holes on the way out to the parking lot And Suh is a beast. I had a blast a the Gator Bowl today, most exciting Clemson game I've seen all year. It was good to finally be able to put a team with the fans, too. I have a lot of admiration for the way you guys came out in the second half and jumped right back in it. I guess we thought we were done, already, or something. We should do this again, sometime, maybe we'll both play the full game next time. Until then, I'll be pulling for Nebraska on the side... Oh, and I agree with the original post, CJ has moves that'll leave you just feeling silly - I would have also liked to have seen James Davis get the ball a few times in a row on that last first and goal we had (112 rushing yards from him today would make him the all-time leading rusher at Clemson). Harper had a stellar year last year. This year, not so much... maybe it's the line, maybe he's trying too hard to be more impressive than last year. Whatever it is, I was especially nervous on the long passes today. Davis is usually good for 4-6 yards, with occasional breakout plays... seems like maybe he could have gotten in there. Anyway... good game, can't wait until next time.
  2. He'll play, at least according to this article, because it went down pretty much as described in another post: http://www.thestate.com/tigers/story/630647.html?RSS=sports When I read the initial reports, for the record, I thought he shouldn't play. Knowing the details changed my mind... Apparently, there were some open containers, but in the "driving your drunk buddies home" scenario, how much control does a guy really have over the drunk buddies' actions? ("Dude, if you don't put down that beer, I'm gonna drop you off in the middle of the woods and make you walk home!" ... not so much...) In my state, an open container is an open container, even if it's in the bed of a pickup truck (so I hear, but inside the vehicle gets the driver charged, regardless). At least in this case, the charges filed seem to be appropriate for the situation. Merry Christmas, Huskers!!! In 168 hours, I'll be in a hotel room in Savannah, too excited about driving to Jax in the morning - rockin'!!! Go Tigers!!!
  3. I also have a great deal of respect for the Nebraska football program. Having met some fans, now, I have a lot of respect for y'all too. In fact, next season, I'm planning to pay as much attention as I can to Nebraska, and pull for you guys. I expect that this will be a great game, though I really don't know what to expect - I haven't really seen Nebraska play, so I'm a little leary of a lot of trash-talking (plus, the last time I talked trash, the words "National Championship" came out of my mouth, and 'Bama spanked us like an AA school on national television, much to the delight of my coot coworkers). Also, for the benefit of any of you who ordered your tickets and parking pass from TicketMaster, wondering when you might expect their parking passes, I ordered my tickets 2 wednesdays ago, about 20 minutes before the Gator Bowl web site updated the front page with "Clemson accepts invitation...", got the tickets last wednesday, and my pass came today, via USPS from the Gator Bowl, itself. Hope to see y'all at the game! Oh, what the heck... Clemson 31, Nebraska 7. Based solely on the results of my victory over the Huskers in NCAA '09. Sorry, you just couldn't handle Spiller... ;P
  4. Very true... every season comes with complete exhaustion.
  5. That video is awesome - I think I'm a Nebraska fan now (except, you know, when you play Clemson)... I feel so honored to be going bowling with you guys. Wow...
  6. Apparently, the epic thread just got moved to a password-protected place... Incidentally, "coots and taters" seems to have been around a while, but I only ever regularly hear the terms on tigernet, and the south carolina fan board at rivals.
  7. I hope this changes. I'd rather be the underdog. I wanna be the underdog, too. I think we were favored against Alabama - that didn't go so well...
  8. omg - you found the purple uniform pics :0
