  1. After watching both our game and OU's today, I am not sure OU will win the South. Okie St. is legit and could take the South this year. If we win out, we may face them again in the Big 12 championship. I agree with you man....we may very well see them again I alos agree with you but I would much rather face an Oklahoma team in Dallas than Okie Lite again. They are the real deal. Plus what better way to leave the Big 10 (oops I mean big 12 haha) by beating our true rivals one last time!!!! GBR The traditionalist inside of me tells me I want to see OU vs. NU for the last B12 title game. From a purely wanting to win standpoint, I could care less which one of them we play. We feast on immobile QB's like Landry Jones, as we can totally pin our ears back if we blitz and kill him. Makes for a terrible day for said immobile QB-- for proof, see OU vs. NU 2009. BTW, a bit off topic, but I noticed last nite watching their game that Landry looks like the missing link in the evolution chart. Prominent brow, clueless look... Anyway, I think we win a rematch with Okie Lite either. I'd love to see what the Pelini bros. and Co. could f they got another chance to scheme and prepare for Okie Lite's offense. They'd have to be a bit mad and embarrassed that they surrendered 41 points yesterday, regardless of how good OKST's offense is. The players AND the coaches would be out for blood at that point.
  2. That's debatable... Zac Taylor was pretty legit, and let's not forget Joey Ganz. And of course, Sam Keller. But, honestly, I can't comment at this point in his career, but if Tay Mart can consistently throw like he did yesterday, he'll definitely be the most COMPLETE QB Wats has ever coached.
  3. We'll see if the coaches still want. From what I've heard, he's not the highest on our recruiting board. Makes me wish there was some sight to check whether our coaches are actually still recruiting kids. Although, at this point, I don't know how many other receivers we're legitimately in on, besides Onuwasser. We'll see how things go.
  4. We'll see how good Mizzou is next week. As well as how good we actually are. Looking back on the Texas game now, I think that we're a hell of a lot better than we played. I believe we lost that game, Texas didn't win it... If we came out with our heads screwed on right (which oddly enough never seems to happen at home), we would've spanked them. That, and the fact we had a RSFr QB playing in the biggest game of his young career who got nervous and tried to force things running the zone read against a fast defense that was already keyed on him = Disaster. Taylor wasn't used to seeing a defense that good, and it definitely caught up to him. But the last two weeks, he's seen BETTER defenses than he saw early on (Texas defense is good, Okie Lite's is not, but still better than our early schedule), and he's learned from it. Hopefully, learned he's not going to break a big one every keep... that's he's going to have to be patient and take what he gets. He did a hell of a job yesterday (aside from that fumble they recovered-- his one flaw), and was amazingly composed and calm. That is a good thing. Anyway, at the beginning of the season, I never would've told you Mizzou had a defense, and after a rash of injuries, I would've doubted it even more. But they do appear to have one this year, for some reason. I don't believe, before OU, Mizzou played anyone who is for real. But they did beat OU, impressive, I'll give them that... although if you asked anyone besides dumb ole Boomer Sooners fans, NO ONE (!) would've agreed Oklahoma should've been the number 1 team in the land yesterday. They're good, but clearly not number one material. But my whole point is, next week we find out how good both our teams really are. Which one will crack in the spotlight? It will be a huge game... And it will tell whether Mizzou is a legitimate top 10 team (don't think so) or whether we are and the Texas game was just a fluke (I personally am of this train of thought). Would love to get some feedback on what you guys think of my little dissection here.
  5. Martinez like to look for Reed on the deep routes, as stated above. Niles came out with something to prove today. Feel damn good for the kid, as I've bagged on him as much as anyone. Awesome game Niles! Prince looked lost today, perplexing. Thought he'd blanket Blackmon. Also, Okie Lite seems to have a quota of having one d-bag WR on their team at a time. From Dez to Devon... Yucking it up on the sidelines after that huge catch not cool. But then karma caught up with them in the end. Rickey tackles like my sister. And I ain't got a sister. Middle of our defense concerns me. By middle, I mean our entire D-line, who got less pressure on the immobile Weeden than we all would've liked, our linebackers, and Rickey. They gotta step it up and start shutting down the run like they've FLASHED during games and did last year if they are to improve. I remember seeing a heck of a lot of our spread out D getting trapped trying to run outside and catch up to a RB... What is that? The age old adage is to stay outside a guy and force him back in.
  6. I BELIEVE Mason wanted a chance to play at safety, which he knew he wasn't going to get here, but don't quote me on it.
  7. OHHHHHHH YEAH!!!! Now you all got to see the last play of that Iowa game. I watched that live. Maybe it's just because I actually lived in Iowa for ten years surrounded by all those deranged, delusional, sad Suckeye fans, but that play honestly made my day. SOOOOOO sweet. Cherry on top of the sundae that is... us winning. And ISU was the whipped cream.
  8. Holy crap... Just watched the finale of the Iowa/Wiscy game. Catch the highlights tonight if at all possible... SOOOO good it's got to be fattening.

  9. Well, I got so depressed after last saturday I decided I'd abstain from all Husker media for the week, including our beloved board here. Didn't want to hear the crap. Just puts me in a worse mood. Kinda worked wonders, gotta say. Glad to be back though . Anyway, in case Aaron was still on the fence about wondering if Texas was still the place for him for some odd reason... SCOREBOARD. Feels so good to say that about ISU and SOMEONE ELSE!!!
  10. Oh jeez now Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb aren't even watching the game and just guessing: "... And Martinez gets ridden outta bounds" ... AS Taylor falls out of bounds on his owns.
  11. Nah, you see less contact then that on plays that don't even warrant consideration for a penalty all the time. These announcers are freaking kidding if they actually believe that should've drawn a flag. A** clowns.
  12. Yeah but there again on the review the commentators were trying to highlight Gundy's "genius" by challenging the play. The commentators are a couple of human s Lol on that flag route a while back, Niles caught the ball, reeled it into his chest, and wouldn't even give it up until he was standing up. Lol who knows... maybe the kid can learn...
  13. Worst commentating I've heard since the Gator Bowl vs. Clemson, I can remember.
  14. Seriously?! We still feel the need to give them more yards? This literally makes me soo sick to my stomach. I'm glad I'm going to work out after this so I can take it out on my own body cuz otherwise I'd take it out on someone else...
  15. Ok I loved the switch to Zac and how gutsy he's been but we don't have the time or ball security for this dang zone read anymore!
  16. MOVING THE CHAINS BABY!!!! Awesome. I turn up the volumes on my iTunes which I forgot was still on and the song is Handlebars by Flobots singing: "Look at me, look at me, DRIVING AND I WON'T STOP." Lol. Good mojo.
  17. OH MY GOODNESS... D doesn't respect Lee and he picks up the first?? GO Zac!!!! AND BURK!
  18. Who else read that article in the OWH about Niles asking why he didn't get more touches on offense? I said it then and I'll say it now: THE WAY YOU (DON'T) PLAY IS WHY YOU GET THE TOUCHES YOU DO.
  19. LOL Well done sir. That honestly made me lol. Did any one else just see that tackler get up in Lee's face there? EDIT: MOTHER****ER. Right when I say that...
  20. HAHAHAHAHA WHAT A F***ING MORON! Right in the open in the backfield too. Pure idiot.
  21. LOL, thanks...I needed that Worked for the Lions. Hey... wait a minute...
  22. DEAR LORD WATS, DID YOU NOT LEARN THAT ZAC LEE CANNOT RUN THE ZONE READ LAST YEAR?!?! DAMNIT!! Thank goodness Rex and Roy can run or we'd be totally hosed.
  23. Of F***ING COURSE. They definitely stop the game to check the call that's not going to work out for us, but not that catch. I hate to make it sound like I'm making excuses, but the officiating... terrible again today. Once flag against TU? What is that? And are they sure that wasn't pass interference on that 3rd down throw out of bounds by GG?
