Had the Big 12 not changed at all, we would have played the same conference schedule as 2008, which would have meant going to KSU, OU, and TT. Not sure we'd have won any of those. Then a game at ISU which is probably a win but not a gimme. The home games would have all been easy. (KU, CU, Baylor). I don't think we sit at 8-2.

Yeah, moving out to Denver right before joining the Big 10 was a bummer. I lived in Wisconsin from '84-'02. I was within 4-5 hours drive of half a dozen Big 10 stadiums. During the whole time the closest the Huskers ever got was Illinois once in '86, but I was too young then to go. At least I got to go to the '09 CU game. My only trip to Boulder was a win and incident free. I guess I can call that a win.

Well... if this game goes true to form, we'll be down 17-7 at halftime and win 34-20 or something like that. I have a hard time believing we won't score a lot of points though.... even with 2-3 turnovers a game we're still averaging 30-ish.

So far, I've enjoyed it.... I really like the evenness of the league. Some will say that is a sign of its mediocrity, but I don't see it like that at all. I feel like there is cohesion in this conference. It doesn't feel like a couple powers and a bunch of little sisters like the Big 8/12 did. I feel like there's a bit more unity between the fanbases. I feel like every school has "been there, done that". I guess I feel like football does the talking in this league for the most part. I feel like now that we are towards the end of year two that we're starting to find out niche a little bit. I thought I'd miss the Big 8 teams.... I think the only one I really miss is Oklahoma, as it turns out. Who really enjoyed going to Ames, Iowa and Lubbock, Texas?
