  1. that would make last night a little easier to swallow...
  2. I was watching the game alone but could not help myself as I said to the tv "just dont kick it out of bounds", over and over.... How, HOW, do you then kick the ball out of bounds????????????? I knew right there we were going to lose, and it was a really sickening feeling considering how good I felt seconds before..
  3. if Huskers lose tonight word is its Holiday bowl for them?
  4. How many times are we going to run it up the middle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????
  5. It is not every Saturday that Nebraska is on in NJ, so I have to catch them when I can. Last week was one of those days, so was today. Luckily, I had an obligation to bring my 9 year old to a birthday party from noon to 2pm, so I did not have to witness this disaster from start to finish. I was actually LAUGHING as this game concluded today...LAUGHING! It is sickening to watch, this team has become a joke. Just the other day I was checking out tix to the Winter Classic on Ebay. Being a Flyer fan, I wanted to get an idea on prices, see if its feasible. Then I had second thoughts, actually considering for a moment that Nebraska may have another bowl game around that time, which me and my boy might make a road trip out of, ala JAX last Jan 1st....WTF was I thinking!!!!?
  6. Penalties lost the game? Nebraska: 9-60 V Tech: 7-53 I would say the offense lost QB and WR drops lost the game. I still blame penalties. If we wouldn't of had one of those 4 or 5 penalties to end the 3rd quarter we could have kicked a FG and would have been up by three more and won the game. was that the most insanely maddening series you ever saw? It was almost comical. 1st and goal at the 3, and we punt!!!!! Excuse me, have to use the bathroom again...
  7. yea, I know all the arguements about who/what cost us the game, everbody venting etc..but who was the db who failed to break up the TD pass, Amukamara? On the view from the opposite endzone, after first turning the wrong way as the receiver crossed thru the endzone, he actually recovered to dive for the ball....and whiffed! It doesnt look like it was POSSIBLE to miss the ball, wtf happened??????????? All that went wrong and we still could've pulled it out....but the damn ball goes right thru his forearm and into the receiver's hands..gut wrenching
  8. wasnt on tv in NJ, but got a link from here to watch it from halftime on. Wish I didnt...my family left the house late in the game and went onto the porch, where wife said my 2 year old was covering his ears because he heard Daddy yelling inside.. I'm 40, have an 8 yr old playing football, other team sports, I like the Jets, Mets and Flyers, all teams that have left me unfulfilled over the years. But NOTHING kills me more than watching the Huskers come up short in big games. I am so sick of it, and with a family home, it makes it hard to vent (ie-break/throw things...), I am afraid my blood pressure might do me in over these guys.. So happy it was not financially sound to buy tix on ebay and drive down to the game, I really might not have made it home, either by my own hand, or at the hands of another..
  9. Thanks alot! I have that on now in NJ, of course just as half ended, but at least I have something.
  10. I have cable, no HD anything, and live in central NJ. I have USC on ABC (ch 7) and Iowa and 'Zona on ESPN 2. Can somebody tell me how NJ gets Iowa and 'zona and NOT Nebraska, which is playing on the east coast at Va Tech, 8 hrs drive from here? I am so disgusted, thought for sure I would be able to watch Big Red today
  11. Shut out this week NU 55 AS 0 NU rush for 361 Nu pass for 146
  12. cool story, I had no idea. Cant really even say I have seen a $2 bill in circulation here in NJ
  13. Just curious if any of you were from my area
  14. I want to tip my cap to 2 especially deserving Huskers. Mike Huff (first) and Joe Ganz were the only 2 guys that, after the midfield celebration/trophy presentation, made their way to the area that was behind the NU bench, and then went along the endzone stands and on over to the tunnel, shaking hands with every fan that could get a hand over the rail. It was a great gesture, something my 7 year old will not forget.
  15. I ebay alot, both buying and selling, and I didnt even know you could raise the price after its been won, I mean, every seller could do that, every time, if thats allowed...
  16. BS. Shipping is either flat rate for all buyers, or calculated by where you live, or free, but you should know it before you buy it, it must be listed. And the guy is making money off the S&H because EBAY does not factor in those costs when it comes to taking their cut, they only get a piece of the sale price

when you put the cursor over the title of a thread, it tells you when the topic was started. I belong to a Jets web site that shows you several lines of the actual post instead. Its very convenient, gives you an idea of whats up without having to actually go in.
  18. He has over 3,000 votes, nobody else has more than 405...
  19. All those pics, and you couldnt find us once????????
  20. Here's Lucky after the game. All the players got a post game meal of a pizza and a couple gatorades. Marlon stashed his box on the bus then came back out to see some family members and signed some 'graphs.
  21. I will tell you what changed in the 2nd half......Clemson got COLD!!!!!! I was in section 123, front row, behind the goalpost. Just after the 2nd half started I see a white man about 50ish walking out from the corner tunnel, behind the endzone, toward the Clemson sideline. He was not wearing Tigers gear, looked like a stadium employee. I leaned forward to see what he was carrying, and it was 2 portable heaters!! I stood up and yelled to him "Is Clemson getting cold over there?" The people around me all looked at me, and I said out loud to nobody special that Clemson needed heaters on the sidelines, they are getting cold. It was that moment that I knew we would win the game, and told my 7 year old son the same thing. Also, regarding the flow of the game, remember that the Tigers had 4 big plays, all leading immediately, or subsequently to scores. The game should'nt have even been as close as it was. The Ganz option pitch, when it was clear he was hoppled on a sore ankle, gets taken back for 6. The muffed punt-next play 56 yard TD pass before the Blackshirts have their helmets on. The pik returned deep in our territory, and the 4th play that escapes my memory at the moment. But if any of those mistakes dont happen, we are breathing alot easier in the 4th then we were.
