  1. Also, I think this has a lot more to do with the players then with Bo himself....because last time I checked he hasn't had an interception or fumble recovery during this decade so.... I'm just saying some players have a nose for the ball, or a better nose for the ball than others...I bet you it's cyclical.
  2. I apologize if I missed the answer up above, but why is he leaving (not that I am sad because I can't stand his voice)?? I mean who's going to make sweet radio love to the sweater vests.....?
  3. No crime out West is there? That is the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time. Buffet one of the richest men in the Freaking World lives in the Ghetto? That is awesome. West Omaha = Good Life Any place else in Omaha = Ghetto And honestly...probably the ritziest neighborhood in omaha (meaning people with lots of money not those living beyond their means...is east of 69th street...so that must be super ghetto.......hmm?
  4. North of Blondo and east of 72nd is starting to get pretty seedy. North of Ames is just a hellhole to live in. That area isn't anymore "seedy" then the rest of Omaha. Northeast around Ames is bad but the area that this happened in isn't any worse then 75% of the City. Hey, thanks for the info. Having lived near the area the shooting took place I think I'll stick with my assessment. Any place EAST of 72nd St is GHETTO! Yeah that includes dUNdEE . Sorry we all can't be rich like you and have mommy and daddy pay for everythng.
  5. Well I just realized that the old coach was named Bill. Sorry my bad. Peace. Who the hell is Sean Callahan anyway? Thats why posting when drunk is not a good idea. Continuously....how long has he been drunk for...........(just kidding with you buzzard bill)
  6. i am, haha... not that it matters anyways. legal and illegal are just opinions And this may come as a surprise because of my name, but I agree with Oz...it should be legal and cops should focus more on violent criminals.....emphasis on violent.
  7. I'm not sure where this quote comes from ( ) but: JUST WIN BABY! Also, I think Bo is a tough enough coach that Marve will only be offered a scholarship if he fits the criteria that Bo sets forth such as being a team player and all......so, I wouldn't expect Marve to come here because of that. Also, Witt left which opened up another scholarship. And finally, in my opinion, the deadline for signing a letter of intent is the first tuesday in February (or around there) and high school athletes can jump all over the place prior to then...so if there is something the staff finds out about the player that makes them think he doesn't belong at Nebraska....let him go. Bo appears to be a very honest individual so I imagine there's a little more to the story than Bo just pulled his offer last minute.
  8. They just said on Unsportsmanlike that Roburt is following Calipari to Kentucky....which is interesting considering he will have to sit out for a year.
  9. You know, I have been thinking the exact same thing....except I'm not married! Jen, if you are ever in Oklahoma... If I'm ever in Oklahoma then I've died and didn't make it into Heaven... All that can be said is: HAHAHAHAHA!!!
  10. Yeah, definitely sounds like Ivy league. Didn't he get offered a scholly from Harvard or something when he was a senior? From what I remember he is ridiculously smart. I think he had a brother go to an Ivy league school too? I don't know if anyone ever said what religion he is, but his brother went on a mission somewhere in the past. A mission might also be a possibility if he is LDS. Unless things have changed, there are no athletic scholarships in the Ivy League...only academic ones.
  11. I'm pretty sure Q had some real good runs against a Clemson defense that definitely wasn't slow.....just saying, and if my memory serves me correctly they weren't all 3 to 4 yard runs either. He's a eral solid back with potential and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up having a better career than Helu. Just my opinion. Any way that things turn out in the RB race though, we are sitting pretty good with the "problems" and choices the coaches have to make.
  12. May reminds me a lot of Scott Connot from Spencer. Connot went on to star at South Dakota State as a safety. After college, he was invited to a tryout with the Chiefs. He measured in at 6'2 217 and ran a 4.43. He spent 3 seasons on their practice squad as a Safety and was a differnce maker in NFL Europe. Guys like Connot are the type of athletes Nebraska needs to sign as walk-ons. You can win a lot of games with future NFL practice squad players as either depth or upperclassmen starters. Don't get me wrong, you need guys who will become NFL draft picks to win championships, but walk-ons who can sniff the NFL are imperative to Nebraska. You must be from near Spencer or you would of had no idea who Scott Connot was. I know his brother well. This just in from left field....my parents backyard shared a fence with Damon Benning's backyard and he had a good Orange Bowl one time........
  13. I believe one of the transfer stipulations was that he could not transfer to any school in Florida, (or SEC/ACC), which seems very harsh. I don't care about the quitting part - it happens. But he and his family were complaining about the lack of respect from Randy Shannon. That part just didn't "smell right" to me. Plus, he didn't exactly have stats that blew me away either. Not to drudge up an old topic, but, if we have room for him, why didn't we have room for another scholarship offer that was yanked? I'm going to jump off a cliff and say that Bodtmann and Mavre's talent level aren't comparable. Only little schools wanted Bodtmann (sorry to say) and I believe that Mavre was something like the Gatorade Florida player of the year his senior year in high school. Slightly different levels of players, may sound mean but it does make a difference. Me: "No offense Bodtmann." Bodtmann: "You can't just say whatever you want to because you said no offense." Me: "Yes, I can. I said no offense!" I also have faith that this (potential) transfer situation will (if it happens) be much different than the Keller situation. Clownahan was in love with Keller the moment their eyes locked, and I don't anticipate Bo having man-crushes on players that haven't won any games for him.
  14. The only thing is, Colt McCoy did not play as a true freshman. , he started as a redshirt freshman.
  15. Someone, one of the big XII bloggers, said that Baylor has big chemistry problems and said that there have been fights during practice between the players. I don't remember the guys name but he said a few of the players would rather punch than pass to each other....just goes to show how recruiting can sometimes inaccurately forecast a "teams talent" because the Herald today says Baylor has 6 top 100 players. And Doc, you're the man. We have one helluva coach here at Nebraska. I think next year could be a big year for us because we will have some height (Joaquim and Diaz), and hopefully someone, like McCray, will step up and become a go-to-guy during the frequent scoring droughts we incurred this year.
  16. I'm pretty sure that it is still illegal to do the deed with a 16 y/o if you are over the age of 19 in Nebraska. Pretty sure about that.
  17. It's Joe Dailey and Harrison Beck....wait a minute......
  18. Mike Tyson. Ahh, that is correct. He slipped my mind.
  19. The thing that is really odd that no one is writing about is that it said he BIT her? Who bites people???
  20. While I do agree that they are very SMALL rivals, and not true rivals in the real sense, you should never use what a football game says as a source. I'm pretty sure 09 has Kansas State listed as a rival, which we never really were we just have a little bad blood as of late. But, "If it's in THE game, it's in the GAME!" Right?
  21. Sorry for the consecutive posts, but my source for having more than one rival is unchallengable....EA Sports NCAA Football 2007 and on. Our rivalry games included all the teams I mentioned, and every team has multiple rivals if they are halfway decent (Sorry ISU).
  22. I think it's a rivalry, personally. The fan bases pretty much hate each other. The games have frequently been hard to predict (since I've been alive, I'm 24). It's the final game of the year, which isn't that important to me, and the games frequently (though not lately) have a stake in the taking the North for both teams. Therefore, I agree, I think they are a rival, along with Mizzou and OU. Teams are allowed to have more than one rival....especially when teams have been playing each other for so long. They may or may not be our biggest or longest standing rival, but a rival nonetheless.
  23. Don't take this personally Eric, but as long as he didn't commit a crime "against the people" it isn't any of our business anyways. I personally think it's classy of Pelini, provided we don't find out in the future that he was serious legal or NCAA issues.
  24. Didn't the article say, near the end, that Cody Green will be wearing number 17?
