  1. Please do not throw stones at my glass house. 22 years old in college and drinks a few beers, can that be true? the one thing I noticed about him was his total lack of effort. right there is absolutely no chance that his coments were taken out of context. no way. we sure would not have wanted another 10 just like him in effort. of course he played no significant part in our defense, unlike our very dedicated CB's and saftey. stupid white drunk. sure is nice to hear from college footballs greatest fans.
  2. FF, I predicted that 2004 would not be a good year. I predicted the Texas Tech massacre to be 70 to nothing, you can verify it on BHF or by Pillen I would guess. I am based in reality. We did not have a quarterback. Period, when Adams went down last year our season was over. We had many attitude problems. Some of those have been corrected. We had a previous coach that was causing moral problems. That will be corrected. This staff has a learning curve. They have a tremendous amount of talent and have been successfull at the Pro level. Most endorse Carrol, Saben, Fridgen. None were anywhere near as successfull in the pros as Callahan. They inherrited a team with local talent, no speed, no size and very little confidence. A talent base that had been on decline since 1998. We could not compete with top level teams. We were not a top 15 school. This coaching staff is light years ahead of what left. And that includes Pelini.
  3. I would say Boise State is the same, just a long ways behind. Other that comes to mind are Rutgers and Hawaii.
  4. And you have one. Is it up there with your head? Funny smell I guess.
  5. I think Miles is a great hire. He put OK State on the map. A program that did not have the backing it needed. LSU will correct those problems for him. I see it as a great hire. Pelini, well if you can not say some thing good it is better to say
  6. He had two years of his own recruiting. In that period we sucked. If you want to lower the standards to Ohio level do so. No one in their right mind would say Frank did a good job. He took one of the top teams in college football, current National Champion to not being rated in the top 25. That is a great job of coaching in anyones eyes. That is the reason he could not find a job for a year when many opened and closed in face. Get a clue. Bernard/schestev
  7. 1. My first game was in 1950, have no idea who we played, I know my mom and dad took me when I was 3. So that would make it nearly 55 years. 2. Ron or Tom Poggemeyer gave me a jersey when I lived behind them in Nebraska City. 3. Nebraska City. 4. Idlywild, California 5. The year we tied SC 21/21. Knowing we were on to something big. 6. Brooks untimely passing. 7. I really do no know, but quite a few. 8. 25 at least 9. A plaster football and tee that proclaims Nebraska #1 70 and 71. 10. Anywhere I can see one. 11. Brook Berringer, he made me believe. 12. What ever it takes to win. 13. Steve Pederson. His actions loved or hated are only in the best interest of the football program. Whether right or wrong he is willing to make tough hard nosed decessions and stand behind them. Don't personally like him, but he is doing the job the way it needs to be done. 14. Steve Pederson, same deal lil Red is doing the job. He is bringing in new young fans. He is the favorite mascot in the country. Guess you got to love him. I am trying. Sure does not stand up to USC or FSU's mascot though. 15. None or too many come to mind. 16. Diet Pepsi/Hot chocalate. 17. Pillen
  8. Thanks Pill, and thanks for telling me about the site. Are we certain schestev is not posting here under a few different names?
  9. We were pretty much on a level field with Kansas last year, and most in the North. Our recruiting and Jucos will make a tremendous difference. Any quarterback that can see and hit a receiver that actually comes back for the ball will make light years difference to this offense. We will have corners that can see over their shoe laces this year and that will help slow down Tech. Bowman will bring the wood as well as Octavian. Colorado has the history of winning against us and the North at this time. They will be the main competition in the North if and I mean a big IF we get by Wake Forest and Texas Tech. My guess is Wake Forest will be the toughest game this year until Oklahoma. They will line it up and run it right down our throats. Tech will play their game. We get by Wake and Tech and we will be growing in confidence and that is what this team needs very badly.
  10. Any one on here that thinks Wake Forest will be a certain win does not follow college football. This is a team that played FSU within 7, NC State with in 3, lost to Louisville by 3 beat Boston College. They got drilled by Miami. They played in 3 OT games. They are not young, they return 10 starters from last years offense, a running back with over 2000 yards. Losing only a WR and a rotational lineman. They will be solid on offense. Defense they return 6. This is a very good team that has played top level teams and been very respectable in doing so. They will have no fear walking into Nebraska. Texas Tech will be a problem again. Let us not foreget that the game was long over before the turnovers really started. I think we will match up with their offense better this year. They have a new QB, but that has never been a problem for Leach. The defense is the question. We get by these two games and we will be in the hunt against Colorado for the CCG. If we get there, it is a major butt kicking by A&M or Texas. I do think we get by Oklahoma due to their inexperience at QB. Taylor will be ahead of them for sure by that time.
  11. FF, We lost 4 players that went to the NFL. Ruud maybe the only one drafted this year. Of course they were the same, do you live in foo foo land. And sure Demarrio did not make much difference. Just every single OC planned around him. There was absolutely no comparisson in talent to 04 to 03. Not to mention a hawk nosed jerk casusing problems with the players every opportunity he got.l
  12. Kennedy was put in charge of S&C. Bryon had an opportunity to upgrade his position. Moving on to USC to be with a close friend does not indicate a problem. Moving on to a program that might very well be the first to 3peat in current college football is not a step down. Give credit where credit is due. The guy improved his position. How is that a problem with Pederson?
