  1. We've been waiting a long time to make the declaration "Order Restored." For many, order will not be restored until we're regularly beating ranked teams and winning championships (either conference or national). What say you? Will this be the year YOU declare "Order Restored?" Or like others, will it take you a little longer? I will hold off until others have had a chance to answer.
  2. One season as a freshman does not make a quarterback. The lightbulb may kick on for Cody and he may just absolutely explode on the field. Or he may falter. Who knows? But good grief, give the kid a chance! He's only a sophomore!
  3. The weather in September is typically spectacular, but this is Seattle where "if you don't like the weather, wait an hour" is the standard rule. Bring a light jacket just in case.
  4. To my homers that will be visiting us in Washington State, I wanted to give you some fun places to visit: Restaraunts: The Crab Pot: As seen on the Travel Channel's "Man vs. Food" you can never go wrong here. Located on Seattle's waterfront it will give you a great taste of local Seattle seafood. The Crab Pot Tourism: Pike Place Market: A must-see for any visitor. A great place to shop for local handmade crafts, great souvenirs, and of course, some more eateries. You also don't miss the guys at Pike Place Fish hurl salmon to each other. Pike Place Market Seattle Underground: Like history with a twist? Take a tour of historic underground Seattle. Seattle Underground Tour Seattle Center/Pacific Science Center: Here you can visit the Science Fiction Museum and Experience Music Project, catch a movie at the IMAX theater, explore cool science exhibits, step inside a tropical butterfly house, and there's always something going on at the Center House. 5. Now that Green has downsized his favorites to Nebraska, California, Florida State, and Texas, like many others I believe in the end we have the best shot. Not to sound redundant but from all accounts he has a great relationship with the coaches and he has the possibility of playing with his brother. Travel for his family to watch Andrew play in Nebraska and Aaron at some other college would probably prove to be too expense for his family. Geographically, Nebraska is fairly close to home and it appears Texas may be on Malcom Brown now as reportedly they have not contacted Aaron for several weeks(?) Now that it seems Aaron is growing fatigued with the whole recruiting process I think he's ours to lose. The one variable is that with these high school recruits is sometimes you just never know. Sometimes "conventional wisdom" fails as it has in the past. I just hope it doesn't fail in this case!
  6. Uh waiter...I'll have whatever they're having.
  7. Would I be in the minority if I said we should tell ESPN "Thanks but no thanks. Please stay away."
  8. The Big 12 will remain but the bullying will continue... Read it here
  9. Oh, the month of June. Isn't this the month college kids have way too much time on their hands and we hope we get through it without more incidents?
  10. As one sportswriter mentioned, when Big XII commmissioner Dan Beebe gave the ultimatum that Nebraska had to make a decision by Friday there was no turning back. Add on that their was unfair revenue sharing, the move to have the Big XII championship in Dallas every year, and that the league had shifted to the South with Oklahoma and Texas as the key power brokers left Tom Osborne no choice but to seek a move to the Big Ten. I think it's only fitting that while Beebe made the ultimatum, we get the final word. We are Nebraska and we will not be bullied by anyone. Good riddance Texas. Hope you enjoy those long flights to Seattle, Pullman, Palo Alto, Berkeley, Eugene, Corvallis, and Los Angeles. Oh, and let's make this very clear. This was your dismantling of the Big XII, not ours.
