  1. good god no guff. VT played a near perfect game and we had 2 turnovers and 7 penalties (including a hit out of bounds that sustained the winning drive) you guys talk like they came in here and beat us by 50. didn't anybody else see ingram shredding the VT defense for 150 yards? Alabama dominated that game and should have won by 3 or 4 touchdowns. even with 10 penalties and 2 turnovers they won easily. as soon as the momentum turned in the 4th quarter, the hokies rolled over and died. Alabama rolled up 500 yards on them. VT managed just 155. We are gonna spank the hokies. we'll worry about mizery later.
  2. if VT gets 350 yards will that be ok? how would you feel if we had gotten 4 picks (which is what we should have had) would you feel better if fau had gotten, say, 239 yards to our 476? if so, click HERE don't get too caught up in numbers. this was a great tune up game. there was no need to go after rusty griswald and his 8 protectors. hell, a lot of their plays that gained yards were snapped off while the bshirts were standing around looking at the sidelines waiting for a play. we could have easily slapped 70 or 80 on those guys. we got a good tune up and didn't have to show anything. I think you all are going to be in for a very pleasant surprise on the 19th.
  3. The B.C. era has taught me one thing: Never take a Husker victory for granted!! I celebrated with high enthusiasm! we're huskers! we are used to getting all jacked up and then having our hearts ripped out! i'm even looking forward to it not happening til new year's day one of these seasons
  4. ingram was untouched until 15 yards downfield every time. lots of nice big holes to run thru. i don't think we can match the quality of ala's ol. should be some nice gaps for roy tho. their offense couldn't do crap and they still scored 24. ala has lots of size and speed on d. vt will be a different animal in blacksburg, but they are definitely beatable. our problems last yr were penalties and turnovers. if the boys in red can get those under control, they will have a very happy night at vt.
  5. offense - Helllluuuuuu defense - i offer matt o'hanlon for consideration. fau to be sure - but he impressed me tonite game brick - Larry Asante...how do you drop that pick? pretty good game otherwise. he was there making the stop every time somebody got into the secondary. safety play was quite good tonite
  6. we should have had two more picks that would have sliced 80 or 90 yards off the total. fau also had about another 100 yards on plays that they got off before we even had our defense in. not to discredit fau for that, they were heads up plays by rusty griswald or whatever his name was, but not a lot the defense could do about it because they were all out of position. those yards need to get credited to the coaching staff. the vaunted "first pro playerto be" from fau was largely ineffective. the bulk of the damage was done by the #2 guy, who did a fine job of managing the offense and was MUCH more mobile. had these two teams faced off a little later in the season, i think you would have seen a considerably smaller opponent yardage total. fau couldn't do jack sh*t anywhere near the red zone.
  7. which do you like best? "zac lee" what the doctor ordered! he throws "zac lee" like my sister! there's "zac lee" 5 months to go til baseball season! this runza tastes "zac lee" like ass!
  8. yeah there's lots of teams out there that fall down three times and punt
  9. good for cody, he was pretty excited, i think. kept dropping his cheat sheets. after he gets some snaps under his belt he will be just fine. i think bo's new starter is "zac lee" what the doctor ordered. vince young was a gay-tard
  10. I would have liked to have seen VT win, but that fourth quarter was tough to argue with. I was encouraged to see Alabama rush at will in the second half. NU @ VT should be a pretty good game if the RED can keep penalties/turnovers in check this time. Taylor took some wicked shots late and the whole Hokie sideline looked totally demoralized. When the momentum turned, VT just gave up. I feel quite a bit better about this game than i did yesterday. As for OU - maybe this is Bradford's karma payback for not declaring for the draft. he should have taken the pay cut and bolted. welcome to college football...what you would like to see and what you actually see are usually two very different things.
  11. Tough break for the crimson used car salesmen. Should have been working with the o-line instead of making all those illegal recruiting calls i suppose. :spooners
  12. wow - sarah palin is a tiger fan -seriously, how good can your program be if you aspire to go 10-4 and win the alamo bowl?
