So, on the grid @Mavric was so kind to share he listed Vok as a SR... How many years do we get out of him... 1 or 2?

He tweeted he was excited to work with the signees for the next 4-5 years, so it would appear so.
From one of the tweets I heard, it sounded like another team might have brought it up to him. I assume the Miami guy ran with it because he overheard something while being at the school.
He was on the phone probably trying to get a hold of a coach to understand if the rumor was true.
That is my guess.
Will be interesting to see if Fisher magically gets a raise...

I have us at 88 at the moment. Counting Betts. So yes.
But we only need to be down to 85 by fall. Gifford won't count against that number.
Complete guess with no knowledge, but names I would be curious if we see on the team:
Pernell Jefferson
Tony Butler
Jaylin Bradley
Not super clued in, but curious what we do at TE as well....

We have out-recruited EVERY B1G West school EVERY YEAR since 2014 (Wisconsin 32nd, Nebraska 35th), yet we have finished T2, 4th, T2, 5th, 5th, T5.
Exactly.. Recruiting rankings mean nothing if you dont get players that fit your system and you can grow.
Wisconsin picks players that fit their system and they coach them up.
That being said, if Nebraska can pick guys who fit the system and can coach them, I like our chances because the more talented players should exceed.
Nebraska has to do something with a top 20 recruiting class before I will get too excited.
The one thing I like is they seem to have kids who really want to be here and they are mixing in JUCO kids.

It would be interesting to know when he plans to put ink to paper. We may not want him now though
Now now now... Lets not be too bitter. We welcomed a guy earlier who pulled some of this stuff.
Happy Slusher found the right place for him. Bummed we couldnt get him but very happy with this class.

Pig soohie.... or whatever they say...
Dang.. Thought we were ending on a hot streak

So if Slusher is the only remaining news for today, who else are we waiting on for the February signing day? I know we will only have a couple spots left at this point, but are there a couple top targets we are after that were not planning on signing in December?
Betts, Payne and Aho havent signed.
Well, I guess according to some Payne has signed. If Betts signs we have 1 open slot and doesnt look like Aho will sign.
We look to be pretty much filled up.

13 defensive commits. 10 offensive commits
4 out of 5 JUCOs are on defense
I think the coaches are putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to talking about needed more dudes on defense.
Current Scholarships/Commits
QB - 1 - LOGAN SMOTHERS
RB - 2 - SEVION MORRISON, MARVIN SCOTT
WR - 5 - ZAVIER BETTS, WILLIAM NIXON, JUCO OMAR MANNING, MARCUS FLEMING, ALANTE BROWN
TE - 0 -
OT - 2 - TURNER CORCORAN, ALEX CONN
OG/C - 0 -
NT - 2 - NASH HUTMACHER, JUCO JORDON RILEY
DE - 1-2 - MARQUIS BLACK, Nusi Malani, JUCO Julius Coates, JUCO Pheldarius Payne, Tanoa Togiai
ILB - 2 - JUCO ETEVA MAUGA, KEYSHAWN GREENEOLB - 4 - BLAISE GUNNERSON, JUCO JUNIOR AHO, JUCO NIKO COOPER, JIMARI BUTLER
CB - 3 - TAMON LYNUM, RONALD DELANCY, Myles Slusher*
S - 2 - HENRY GRAY, JAIDEN FRANCOIS*-Current Oregon commit
Early Enrollees - Smothers, Corcoran, Gray, Gunnerson, Lynum (maybe Morrison)
By my math we have 20 who have signed so far.
2 more committed and expected to sign today- Fleming and Conn
2 who are committed and signing in Feb- Betts and Aho
Waiting on Payne and Slusher.
So, possibly all 26 are spoken for, could be a couple openings.

WELCOME YOUNG MAN!
Seems like a sharp kid who used prep school to get his head in the right place.
Welcome N!

Fleming
Then Brown
Payne
I think we miss on Slusher.

That's BS. How do you do that to a high school kid?
Sadly this is the norm....
Find a few kids who were 4 star recruits and after they graduate college, ask them about the recruiting process.
I use to work with a couple of former collegiate basketball players and the stories are crazy what happens but also once they are on the team it is crazy some of the stuff that happens.

I can’t wait to see what Frost and crew have to say if that’s the case.
Sadly they cant really say anything about it.. or they wont.
But something happened and sure does seem like it might have been some dirty recruiting from Miami...

If Chris Stock was just stirring stuff up, that's pretty s@!ty.
I assume he was getting it from someone who was trying to get him to stir stuff up.
Someone in Miami thought they could get a last second steal so fed BS to a reporter.

Salt water or fresh water?

Mom of a different commit.

While it wouldnt be fun to have the bad luck continue, the positive thing is we can use those scholarships to go grab someone in the second round of recruiting. I thought we might be tapped out after today, but still plenty of players out there.
Kaden Johnson is a bummer but we have added some great LB's.
No idea whats happening with Francois, but I get it... this time of year is stressful... Maybe a random 3rd school called and held up everything.

Allen is a legit NBA talent if he puts it all together. Could be our Royce White. Definitely some red flags in his past - but he also has been through some s#!t. His support system is in Omaha and my guess is, he realizes this is probably his last chance at the league. Could work out amazing for all parties.
Most of what I have heard is his "stabilizing system" is in boystown and the closer he is to that, the better it is.
So that could help, I just think with the amount of red flags on him, we need to be careful... but I trust Hoiberg and hope this is what Teddy needs... I hope I eat crow.

Not so sure about this one..... Hope it works out...

He gone
Feel sort of bad for him. While he was more of a risk, it sucks when kids get forced out.
Thankfully he will have time to find a new home. Major benefit of two signing days.

I'd say best case it's Johnson, Fleming, Francois and Brown if we have room.
Could be Payne instead of Brown if they're looking for more DL help. I think 5 more is our max, including transfers.
Dennis, Hester, or Slusher would be a shock at this point.
Kind of my thought across the board--forgot about Payne.
I sort of thought they would leave a few spots open for Feb but honestly doesnt seem to be that way.
I know the odds of getting all 4 of Johnson/Fleming/Francois and Brown arent amazing but honestly with the steam of this staff, I wouldnt be shocked. They are KILLING it this last week.

I think these are accurate, though I've seen both 8 AM and 8 PM for Brown.
Also, Hester is a pipe dream at this point.
So, we have to have limited spots I would assume, but I think its safe to say we have fairly legit shot to add Johnson, Fleming, Brown and Francois... is that correct?
Slusher seems like a stretch. Cant say I have heard much on Dennis or Hester.
Best case scenario we add the 4 I mentioned, do we even have room?

I doubt that. I think Martinez is your starter but hopefully they will get smart enough to use Luke in some packages and find him ways on the field.
I assume Martinez wasnt fully healthy but I think Frost has hitched his wagon to him. Vedral is a solid backup but I am just hoping this was just a bad year for Martinez because it seemed like his struggles were far more than just an injury... but he is still young, so I am fine with working through them.
